Chapter 314 Disqualify You?
Everyone quickly opened their phones to check the link
luside, they found a spinning globe that looked quite ordinary.
“Alright, let’s begin. You have three hours,” Chloe announced.
The boy who had raised his hand first asked, “But we don’t have computers.”
“You don’t need computers. Just use your phones,” Chloe replied calmly.
Hackers couldn’t always carry their computers everywhere, after all. In some situations, they had to use their phone.
Besides, the task she gave today was more than manageable with just a plone.
The crowd was astonished as if they had never seen such a unique interview process before. “Wait a is that a real person behind the firewall or some kinda system?” someone asked.
They needed to know who or what they were dealing with
Chloe smirked. “It’s me
Everyone gasped. Although they didn’t know Chloe’s identity, her confident manners suggested she was a significant figure in the team.
At this point, everyone’s expressions grew serious. Chloe held her phone, defending against their attacks one by one.
Soon, twenty minutes passed, and no one could breach her firewall.
Forty minutes in, the once–packed classroom had thinned out considerably. Those without patience had already dropped out of the interview. Time ticked on, leaving only three candidates -two men and one woman.
One of the men’s phones started showing a low battery warning. So, there were only two left.

Meanwhile, Chloe’s phone blared with an ominous alert – it had been hacked.
She looked at the girl, who now was smiling brightly.
“Congratulations, you can start your internship at Jioleek. What’s your name?” Chloe smiled.
The girl couldn’t react for a second, her face still a bit dazed. A few seconds later, she suddenly covered her mouth as if she’d hit the jackpot “R–Really”

Chloe couldn’t help but smile at her entusiam, “You haven’t told us your name yet.”
Hearing this, the girl stammered. “My name is… Oh, right. In this industry, everyone uses nicknames, right? Like Jioleek?*
Chloe chuckled, replaceing her endearing. “Either is fine. If it’s your real name, we’ll keep it confidential,”
That was a team rule. They never disclosed the true identities of their members

I’m Jessica, but you can call me Luckystar!”
Chloe looked at her in surprise. “The Luckystar?! The one who’s ranked number one on the hacker leaderboard?”
Jessica grinned sheepishly and rubbed the back of her neck. “Ah, well, that’s not exactly true…”
“What do you mean?” Both Chloe and Quinn were puzzled.
Jessica looked at the ceiling and took a deep breath, “Well, I cheated to get on that list.”
“How did you cheat?” Chloe frowned.
Jessica’s gaze drifted upwards. “1… hacked into the system and changed my vote count.”
Jessica’s confidence wavered as she spoke. She was worried that this would disqualify her from joining the team.
Thinking of this, she mised her hand and swore, “I promise never to do such sneaky things again!”
Chloe burst out laughing. As lackers, they did a lot of sneaky things.

“Why are you laughing? You’re not going to disqualify me, are you?” Jessica was now completely panicked. She started thinking that she should keep lier code name to herself.
Chloe smiled, “Disqualify you? No way. You’re in, and you can start as a full member right away. No need for an internship.”
