After a delicious and filling breakfast, Anna said goodbye to JC to go to work. She drove her own maroon Mini Cooper to Wyndham International Hospital.

JC let Anna goes into the lobby of the Northern Light Hotel with a wave. Today is the last day of JC's concert tour. He will be performing at a major mall in Grenada, the event is indoor, fortunately. The winter weather this time was so bad, that it snowed all day long. JC is not sure the concert audience will be as large as usual.

Meanwhile, Anna drove her car through the snowy roads carefully. Along the way to the hospital, she saw many cranes operating to move the cars that were stuck due to this severe snow. Anna hopes that today's patients will not overflow due to traffic accidents. Finally, she arrived at the basement parking lot of Wyndham International Hospital, where she worked. Anna came down with a flower bouquet JC gave her and carried her navy backpack. She walked to the elevator to go up to the 3rd floor of her practice room.

It was a very quiet morning, the nurse who used to stand guard at the surgeon's practice registration desk next to her room was absent. Very weird! thought Anna. The corridor of the surgical unit was also empty there wasn't a single person there.

Anna immediately rushed into her study and put down her backpack. She looked for a ceramic vase in which to put the beautiful pink roses and soaked the stems in water to prevent them from wilting. When Anna had finished taking care of the beautiful roses, a nurse came into her study and asked Anna to come down to the hospital lobby because there was something important that Doctor John Baldere wanted to talk about.

Anna wore her white snelli shirt over her dark purple silk shirt and black silk wool trousers. Don't forget Anna tied her long reddish-brown hair in a ponytail. Then she took the elevator down to the lobby floor.

The lobby of Wyndham International Hospital was like being conjured by a forest fairy, at various points on the floor of the hospital lobby were placed ceramic pots filled with fresh flowers of various types and colors. Anna felt surprised and confused, about what was happening today. She didn't know it herself, while the other hospital residents seemed to know the festive event that was being held there.

Doctor John Baldere walked over to Anna, who was still standing confusedly in front of the elevator. "Good morning, Doctor Anna. Are you surprised?" he asked with a faint smile that added to his handsomeness.

"Uhm... Doctor John what's going on today seems so excited?" Anna asked back with a curious face looking around the hospital lobby.

John put his arm around Anna's shoulder, he whispered beside her ear, "You are the star of this show, Dear Anna."

Anna stopped walking and raised her eyebrows in surprise and turned to John. "How could that be ...?"

Apparently, Doctor Phillip Brighton hasn't told Anna about this engagement,' thought John somewhat disappointedly.

"Anna, today is our engagement day. Last night my father met with Doctor Phillip and they agreed to set me up for you," explained John patiently.

"Well, it's too sudden and I-I wasn't prepared... rather confused, John!" squeaked Anna panicked.

"No need to think too much, Anna. Everything is perfect... you and me. We are both successful doctors. All of our families are doctors who are actively practicing at Wyndham Hospital, your mother and father and your two brothers," answered John diplomatically.

Annastacia's heart screamed, did she have to accept a blue blood matchmaking that she didn't want? John Baldere was handsome, charismatic, young, and successful. He is the hospital's idol doctor and heir to the Wyndham Hospital International business empire. He's a potential single guy. 'A perfect bachelor, but... I am unready to get married now,' Anna cursed in frustration in her heart. "John... must it be today?" offered Anna pitifully.

"Yes, Sweetie. You're the right woman to be my life partner," John replied adamantly as he wrapped his arms around Annastacia's slender waist.

Anna took a deep breath, she turned her head to the side. Her father approached them both smiling happily. Her heart, on the other hand, felt heavy like it was being weighed down by the anchor of a ship that was about to sink her into the

sea.

"Good morning, dear Anna. Apparently, you've spoken to John. Are you ready to be engaged to him?" said Doctor Phillip Brighton, noticing the look on his youngest daughter's face.

"Pa ... I'm shocked and unprepared. What should I do, Pa?" replied Anna in a stressed tone.

Doctor Phillip Brighton hugged his youngest daughter and stroked Anna's head. "You are a smart woman, Anna. Papa is sure that you will definitely make the best choice. John is the perfect husband-to-be for you. You both work together in the hospital, it must be very nice to live with someone who understands your profession, Anna, just like Papa and your Mama," he advised.

Anna released her arms around her father's body, she looked at his father's face. She also understood that what his father said was true. After all, this was just an engagement, not a wedding. She could have time to think later. "Okay, John, I agree with this engagement, but please give me some more time to think before we decide to get married," Annastacia said looking at John Baldere who breathed a sigh of relief.

"Sure, Anna. I'll make you fall in love with me, believe me ...," John replied then held out his hand to Annastacia.

Annastacia's hand accepted John's outstretched hand, they walked side by side into the middle of the lobby where chairs decorated with nylon fabric and flowers were arranged neatly for the hospital staff and the invitees to the engagement

event.

All eyes were on the young couple who became a byword at the hospital because of their professionalism.

Anna's heart was filled with a happy feeling that she didn't understand. Is this Love? For her, John is her best friend and work partner. John smiled with a gentle look at Anna who put the engagement ring on his ring finger. That woman had been his idol since they first met in the operating room a few years ago. Smart and reliable that's his Anna. John hoped that Anna would love him as much as he did.
