Dr. Luna -
Chapter 21
Tyler looked around the room and in the bathroom. Lilly was nowhere to be found. He walked up and turned off the television. Where did she go? He felt a breeze swirl and his eyes fell on the far window. It was opened. He rushed to the window and looked out, but she was not there. Damn. With a loud roar he jumped out of the window, shifting while in the air. What the hell is she thinking? She doesn't get to just leave; she belongs to him. Mine... Mine... Mine... Tyler's wolf Jax sounded in his head. Quiet! Tyler yelled.
This is your fault you know! I told you to stay away from that slut. I have been whining to be by our mate's side since the moment we met her. I told you to mark her. She is MINE. Quit feeling guilty about what happ-
Jax, shut the hell up! I'm running the show here. I don't care what form we are in. Let's just replace her. Tyler quieted Jax down and his wolf ran at a commanding speed. He held his nose high in the air as he followed her scent. She was not far.
Kira was running towards the border. Lilly was going to take this opportunity to make a break for it. She was tired of being hurt and was going to get out of there. Sorry Kira, I know you liked your other half, Jax. Kira didn't reply because she could sense a presence in front of her. She slowed down and came to a stop. She whipped her head up and down as she tried to pick up the scent of whatever was in front of her.
A beautiful light, almost blonde colored wolf walked into the moonlight. His fur shined in the light. She knew this wolf's scent. It was Cedric. He walked out in the front and blocked her path. He was not going to let her leave.
She could not communicate telepathically since she was not marked and linked to the pack. She tried to walk to the side, and he blocked her again. She was losing her window of time. She lowered her head and growled at him, warning him to back off. His wolf was not necessarily small but compared to Kira's size he was nothing.
Cedric's wolf whimpered at being growled at, but he did not alter his position. He could not allow her to leave. It was not safe. As much as he was angry with his Alpha, this was the safest place for her right now.
Kira scowled and began pacing back and forth. She was angry and was using that anger as the push she needed. Leaving your mate is hard enough to even attempt one time. The hard pounding of feet was heard behind Kira. In a magnificent leap in the air Tyler's wolf, Jax, was now just a few feet away from her.
Good job, Cedric. Tyler thanked him for keeping Lilly from escaping any further.
Hmph, I did this for her sake. It isn't safe out there. I swear though, if you keep treating her like-
A growl ripped through Jax's throat and shut up Cedric from finishing his sentence. Leave. Tyler commanded Cedric to leave, so while he wanted to stay, he reluctantly followed his Alpha's order. Kira watched as the blonde wolf vanished out of sight and then her eyes fixed on her mate.
Jax turned and looked at Kira. He knew there was a misunderstanding between them, and he was frustrated he could not explain it to her right there. He was afraid if he shifted back, she would make a run for it. He took a step towards her to start driving her back to the house.
Kira turned vicious on her mate. She hunched back with her ears flat against her head. She bared her teeth and let out a very low growl. When Jax took another step closer she snapped in his direction.
Jax did not want to fight with her. His concern was getting her back. You know, since you are having problems closing the deal you should just allow me to do it with my half. Jax smirked as he stared at his beautiful mate. The magnificent, powerful, ebony wolf had him drooling. Even as she growled at him, she was captivating him.
Try it and I'll never let you out again. I'll lock you up in the back of my consciousness. Tyler reminded his wolf who was really in charge. As much as Jax was the Alpha wolf, Tyler was his partner but had authority over him. It was a weird relationship for a human to understand.
What should we do Lilly? Kira was waiting to hear how Lilly wanted to proceed especially since she personally did not want to attack Jax.
Try your best to muscle through him. Be threatening, but let's not wound him. I don't want to hurt him. Lilly wanted to make one more last-ditch effort to flee.
The moon shined on her dark fur that blended in with the night. A cool breeze swirled gently tossing Kira's fur around in the darkness. Kira kicked dirt up in Jax's face and then tried to leap away, but Jax was on top of her every move. She felt the ground under her feet and dug her claws into it. She was going to rush him and try to take him off guard.
She lunged forward and snapped at Jax's face. This gesture took him off guard and his Alpha blood could not bear the insult. With lightning speed, he dove into her and pinned her to the ground. Kira was no match for his wolf. He was bigger, stronger, and faster than her.
She laid beneath him and glared at him angrily waiting for his next move. Jax leaned his head down and began to lick at her head and nuzzled his muzzle into her neck. Kira responded by leaning her head back into him. This fight wasn't between them. Lilly sighed. Kira had lost to her mate... and, in a sense, she lost Kira to her mate in that moment. She could feel that Kira appreciated the way he was with her. He never growled at her once. He only used his strength to control the situation.
A small rumble sound was heard in the distance. Kira flicked her ears as she heard the incoming storm. Since we aren't leaving let's get back. I'd like to get situated before this storm comes in. Lilly gave up. She would not be going anywhere tonight. At the sound of the thunder in the distance she felt a tingle go down her spine. This would be her first storm without Aaron. How could she seek comfort in Tyler's arms? Not after he just slept with Jessica. Not after what he did to her that evening.
Kira turned and ran back towards the pack house with Jax by her side. The two were playing with each other as they ran side by side. Their tongues were hanging out and if they were humans they would be laughing. They were enjoying running together. The moment they got back to the pack house she shifted. Lilly did not pause for a second. The instant her feet were human she ran into the pack house.
"Whooaaa." Kade turned his head away as Lilly ran inside in all her glory. He wanted to ask her what the heck she was doing but she did not linger even for a second. She had sprinted up the stairs and was in her room. Next Tyler came inside, sporting his nudeness openly. Kade looked at him and then smirked. Tyler's eyes were dark as he looked at Kade. He knew he had seen his mate naked and was not pleased about it.
"She's back in her room already. Man, you are striking out tonight huh?" Kade teased.
Tyler then smirked at him. "The night's not over yet." He then walked up the stairs and headed down the hall. He paused by Lilly's door for a brief second before continuing to his room to put on some clothes.
"I need to put a mini fridge in my room. Too many things happen around here at night." Kade grumbled to himself as he took his sandwich back to his bedroom.
Lilly locked the door as she went into her room. She then scurried to grab her phone and earbuds. She needed to get into a position she could bunker down for the storm. She looked around and them found the perfect place. She threw some clothes on and wrapped a light blanket around herself. She curled herself up as she sat down.
Lilly's phone lit up and she looked down to see Aaron calling her.
"Hello."
"Lilly, are you okay? A massive storm just went through here, and it is heading your way. I'm worried about you." Aaron's voice was quiet. It was the middle of the night and he was trying to not wake Cadence.
"I'm okay. I'll be okay. How have you been? I've missed you." Lilly's bottom lip quivered as she talked to her brother. She wasn't homesick, but she was missing him.
"It's been pretty busy. I am taking over as Alpha, it is earlier than expected, but dad said I had to take over now. How about you?"
"That's awesome, you will be a great Alpha, Aaron. I'm... doing fine. Now, quit worrying about me and go back to bed. You know if you wake her up, she is going to be a grouch." Lilly knew that the primadonna next to him hated to be woken up. Aaron chuckled quietly. "Okay Lillibug. If you need me call me. I will talk with you through the storm."
"I will. Love you!"
"Love you too."
Lilly sat the phone down. She began to cry. She usually wasn't this emotional. Of course, her werewolf hormones were out of control. She did not want to tell him what had been going on here. She did not want him to worry. She reached up and rubbed her neck. She still felt violated and extremely ticked off. And to top it off, her mate slept with another girl. This was the second worse day of her life.
