Chapter 503 Have You Regained Your Memory?

At this moment, Melissa’s face turned pale, her body trembling slightly, tears welling up in her eyes asshe shook her head. “No! It’s not true! I didn’t do it! I have no grudges against her. Why would I frameher? I didn’t do it!”

“I heard that you were locked in an underground secret room. You kept a three-year-old child in thebasement. Do you think you deserve to be a mother?” Amanda prodded.

Melissa suddenly shouted angrily, “Isn’t all of this your fault? You deceived him and made him arrestme everywhere. Why are you pretending to be a good person now? Hypocrite!

“You can lie to everyone for the sake of your child, so why can’t I?”

The next moment, Melissa grabbed Amanda’s shoulders and shook her violently. “Why did you comehere? Why did you let him catch me? If you had given me a little more time, we could all have a happyending. But you’re so selfish, only thinking of yourself! You have Elias, but what do I have? How canElias possibly let his son stay here forever? Sooner or later, he will take the child away, but what aboutme? I can only rely on myself, fighting for a chance. to keep Dulcie by my side. Why won’t you just letme do that?”

As Melissa spoke, she broke down and cried out loud.

Symeon’s face was filled with astonishment, his eyes wide open, unblinking as he stared at Melissa. Itseemed like his entire body’s blood was flowing in reverse.

So, the little girl in the secret room is my daughter?

Symeon was stunned, unable to utter a word, his brain seemingly struggling to catch up with therevelations.

Meanwhile, Elias had already stood up and stepped forward. He forcefully pushed Melissa to theground and shielded Amanda behind him. He looked at the woman on the ground coldly and said,“Take your dirty hands off her. Your daughter should feel ashamed for having a mother like you.”

After saying that, he turned to Symeon. “Now, do you still have any reason to keep my son detained?Release my son immediately. I don’t wish to engage in any further discussions with you, nor do I wantto interfere in your family matters. Handle it on your own.”

Symeon withdrew his gaze, stood up, and looked coldly at Elias. “Whether it’s true or not, I have toverify it. After the test, I will let you leave. You will have to stay here during this period because I alsowant to check the DNA test results between you and Aiden. If it turns out that the child is not yours, youshould thank me for replaceing out that you have been deceived.”

Elias sneered. “That’s impossible!”

When he was in Cludan, he never believed in Amanda and thought she was deceiving him. However,in this very moment, faced with Symeon’s skepticism, he strangely had no hesitation and completelybelieved that Amanda would never betray him.

Symeon didn’t say anything further and turned to the butler. “Arrange guest rooms for them I want tooversee the DNA test personally, and no one else is allowed to interfere.”

“Yes!” The butler nodded.

Melissa, who was on the side, panicked.

If the DNA test revealed that Dulcie was Symeon’s daughter, she may never see Dulcie again in herlifetime.

Late at night.

Amanda lay in bed, unable to fall asleep. Despite being so close to Aiden, she couldn’t go see him. Itwas simply torture.

At that very moment, Elias was staying in the room next door.

This was all a deliberate arrangement by Symeon. He knew that they were married, yet he purposelyarranged for them to stay in separate rooms.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

Amanda got up, put on her robe, walked to the door, and opened it to replace Elias’ tall, handsome figurestanding outside.

“What’s the matter? Why aren’t you sleeping?”

“I can’t sleep, so I came to replace you.”

“So, replaceing me will help you sleep? I can’t sleep either,” she said, feeling puzzled.

Elias simply entered her room, closed her door, and turned to look at her. “We’re husband and wife. Why do we have to sleep in separate rooms? Symeon did it on purpose. Does that align with yourwishes too?”

Amanda’s heart tightened.

Since Elias had the accident, the two of them had never slept in the same bed again. Moreover, he hadamnesia and didn’t believe her at all, rejecting her. How could he be willing to share a bed with her?

What does he mean now?

Amanda asked, “So, you no longer have any doubts about me? Do you completely believe what I say?”

“At the very least, I believe that we are still legally married and haven’t divorced. Since we haven’tdivorced, why should we sleep in separate rooms?”

Amanda found herself unable to argue. Whether it was before or after his amnesia, she wasn’t a matchfor him.

Elias went straight to her bed, leaned against the headboard, and looked at her. “Come over. I havesome questions for you.”

Amanda, filled with questions, got back into bed and looked at the man’s relaxed sleeping posture.“What do you want to ask?”

“Did anything happen between you and Symeon when you were here?”

As soon as these words were spoken, Amanda’s anger flared up instantly. “What do you mean, Elias? So, you still suspect that I betrayed you! You believe those words from Symeon, thinking that I cheatedon you!”

Amanda’s temper was like a raging fire, catching on instantly, which startled Elias.

Elias froze for a second, then said in a deep voice, “I was just asking. I didn’t mean to suspect you. Ididn’t believe Symeon’s words either. I’m just concerned that you might be taken advantage of by thatscoundrel while you were here undercover.”

“How could I let him take advantage of me? What are you thinking?”

Elias didn’t say anything more, remaining silent for a while before asking again, “Has our son beenmistreated by Symeon while he was here?”

“I lied to Symeon because I was afraid that he would mistreat Aiden once he knew the truth. If Aidenwere his child, he would treat him well, and I would have enough time to return to replace you! Who wouldhave imagined you would lose your memory and start believing in Rosie?”

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. When she returned to Cludan, what she sawwas the sight of Elias and Amanda together. It almost made her vomit blood.

Elias gently placed his large palm over Amanda’s cold hand. “I’m sorry. After we return this time, I willmake it up to you and Aiden.”

Amanda gazed at the man and felt that something was amiss. Is he truly Elias?

“Have you regained your memory?” Otherwise, how could he have transformed so quickly?

Elias shook his head. “No, I still can’t remember many things, but after hearing you talk about so manythings these past few days, I think I must believe in my wife and child, right?”
