Evil Angels -
Chapter 34
Alexandra’s POV
Ever since Larus came home yesterday he looked run down. Elijah said he ran into some complications so he didn’t come home last night. Once the horde’s appeared, Andya left back into town because we knew it would probably cause a problem with all the evils. He is going to come back once the fight starts to protect Emma.
I sat on top of the roof watching the two hordes practicing and flying around. Emma was in the kitchen with Larus making breakfast for everyone, even though we don’t eat Emma wanted to do it anyways. I noticed a new scent of ten evils coming closer to the house. I perked up and slide down part of the roof to get to the flater part and stood up. My eyes focused in on them noticing the evil flying in front with blue hair.
She must be the leader.
°Alex is everything okay? I see more evils coming and she doesn’t really look friendly.°
“I am going to replace out. Don’t worry. They are probably just another horde coming in.”
I jumped off the roof and snapped my wings out, flying off towards our newest visitors. They were a few miles out but I got there in under a minute causing all of them to stop in the air and look me over. The blue haired woman’s silver eyes glanced over me, “Well look at what we got here. She looks to be only a few months old. How cute.”
“State your business for coming here.”
The woman laughed at me, “I am coming to see an old friend, well he is more of a son actually. It seems he has angered a few angels recently and I have brought my horde to help. So allow us to pass or I will easily take you out of the sky.”
Son? Larus?
I nodded, “Well in that case, thank you for coming to fight for us. I will take you to the castle.”
I took off flying back home while they followed and I landed at the front door, “Come inside, my maker will want to see you.”
The woman told her horde to stay outside while she followed me in. Suddenly, she grabbed my throat and pinned me to the wall. I grabbed at her hands, trying to break free. She leaned closer and smelt me then leaned back, “Now that we are alone, I can do this. I knew there was something different about you. I can sense a human and an angel in you.”
“I-I d-don’t know what you're talking about.”
“I had a feeling Elijah was lying to me. Now where is Larus? Let me guess, he isn’t here. The angels still have him and you are their inside man, just like Elijah. But I am smarter this time and I am going to get rid of you.”
“Vera! Put my fledgling down or I will take you out right here, right now. You know I am stronger than you.”
Larus’ voice boomed through the air. The woman’s eyes widened and she dropped me to the floor, “Larus. You are alive.”
Emma popped out from behind Larus and ran over to me, “Are you okay?”
I sucked in a huge breath of air, “Yeah... I am fine. My throat is just a little sore.”
Larus stared down the woman, “What the hell are you doing here Vera?”
She flipped her hair back, “Elijah told me to come and fight for you but since there is a human here I am assuming this fight is not for you.”
Larus glared at her, “Why the hell would he go for you for help? You didn’t help him before when the angels got him.”
“Well I have had a change of heart. I practically raised you to the evil you are today. I want to help you even if it involves a pathetic human.”
He nodded his head, “Very well. The other hordes are outside practicing. If I notice anything strange I will not hesitate to get rid of you. I trusted you once but that is gone now.”
The woman nodded then left to go outside. Emma stared at the door until she knew she was gone, “I don’t like her.”
Larus laughed, “Well that is Vera for you. She is the leader of the Blackhawk Horde from New York. She helped Elijah create and train me but she disappeared once he was captured.”
Emma shook her head, “That is horrible.”
“Yes it is.. But I know why she did it. If she would have been caught with me by the angels, they would have killed her horde… I don’t want her here but we need her. She is much older than Elijah and her horde is very powerful.”
I finally stood up from the floor and pulled Emma to my side, “I am still going to stay clear of her. She didn’t seem happy that Emma is here.”
Just then Elijah burst through the door with about fifty other evils. Larus ran straight over to him and hugged him, “Thank Satan you come back.”
Elijah wrapped his arms around him, “I am back and I brought two more hordes.”
They released each other and a man stepped forward with dark brown hair and super bright green eyes, “Hello, I am Demarcus, leader of the Speartail Horde from Virginia.”
Emma looked him over, “Speartail?”
He smirked and lifted his tail up showing it had a triangle shape at the end, “It is razor sharp. Everyone in my horde has them.”
Emma nodded while a woman stepped up next to Demarcus. Her hair was braided at some parts with beads and feathers in it. She wasn’t like any other evil I have seen before as her wings and horns had a grey and brown tint to it along with half the people behind her. Her bright yellow eyes glanced over all of us, “I am Leire, leader of the Desert Rock Horde in Arizona.”
Larus stepped back from Elijah and bowed his head to all of them, “Thank you all for coming here. All the other hordes are practicing outside and we have breakfast with coffee in the kitchen. Make yourselves at home.”
Leire’s horde all turned outside along with Demarcus’ horde except Demarcus stayed back, “How could I pass up a cup of coffee?”
Elijah laughed, “Right this way.”
He changed into his human and followed all of us into the kitchen where we all sat down with mugs of coffee. I went over to the stove, stacking a plate of pancakes and giving it to Emma, “You need to eat something.”
Emma looked at the plate and picked up her mug of coffee, “I am good with coffee.”
“Emma, just because we don’t eat doesn’t mean you don’t either. I can feel you are hungry.”
She shook her head and took the plate, “So protective.”
I sat down next to her and began to drink my coffee. Demarcus looked over at us, “So Emma is the human we are going to be fighting for?”
You better watch what you say.
Larus answered for me, “Emma found out about our kind in an accident with Alexandra. We found out they were mates and the angels seemed to not like that she knew of us. They have a hit on her head and are coming for me and Alexandra so we will be punished.”
He nodded and smiled over at Emma, “Well I have no problem protecting her, even if she is human, the angels are wrong. I have a human mate back home and if this was her life on the line I would kill every angel I could.”
He has a human mate too?!
Emma smiled back at him, “Thank you for understanding.”
Demarcus finished off his coffee then stood up, “Well I have to go to my horde. Thank you for the coffee and Emma don’t worry about the angels. My horde will not let them get their hands on you.”
Well he is definitely nicer than the others.
