Chapter 324 No Matter What You Do, You Suffer?

I pulled out a tissue and handed it to him. He took it, wiped his mouth, his expression not quite right. But he was a gentleman through and through, and didn't say much. However, his chopsticks never ventured back to that dish he thought tasted good.

Upon seeing this, I remained silent, simply watching him as I said, "Try some of the other dishes."

He nodded, and in just a moment, his gentle face regained its usual handsome and noble appearance.

He reached out with his chopsticks towards the green dish on the side. As he put them down, he was still looking at me when he asked, "What is this?"

I watched him pick up the dish, my gaze steady as I said, "Sauce mixed with crickets."

As expected, the man's face stiffened, the food between his chopsticks fell to the ground. He slightly furrowed his brows, withdrew his hand, his complexion was no longer good.

Seeing me looking at him and laughing as if nothing had happened, he still reached out his chopsticks elsewhere. This time, he didn't ask, but was ready to eat directly.

"But how could I let it go? After watching him leave, I opened my mouth with a calm expression, "The taste of this cold ant egg salad is not bad, right?"

His expression had completely darkened. The handsome man stared at me without moving a muscle, remaining silent for a long time.

Eventually, he was unable to swallow the food that he couldn't stomach. He got up and walked to the side, retching dryly.

I looked at him coldly, my gaze calm and indifferent. The boss came out, saw his reaction, thought there was a problem with the food, and looked at me worriedly, saying, "Miss, what is this..." "It's okay, he's not used to the food," I said as I settled the bill.

Walter's embarrassment didn't last long. Moments later, he regained his usual dignity, walked over to me, and asked, "Are you still eating?"

looked at him, my gaze steady, and asked, "Do you want to eat?"

He pursed his lips, without giving a response.

I hooked my lips, turning around without a laugh or a word, heading back the way I came.

My wrist was grabbed by Walter, I glanced at him sideways, my gaze almost indifferent, and said, "Walter, I thought you already understood what I meant?"

Walter's expression was rigid, his dark eyes deep and restrained. His voice paused for a few seconds before he said, "Revenge? Or are you trying to intimidate me into backing down?" Looking at him, I became increasingly calm and said, "I have everything."

His expression was slightly dim, his voice a bit hoarse, "Alright, I accept."

After speaking, he suddenly turned around, sat back in front of the stall, and finished every portion of the food he had previously dared not eat, one plate after another.

I stood there, silently watching, unable to describe what I was feeling inside.

Five minutes later, all the food was gone. It was unclear whether Walter's face was flushed and unattractive due to overeating, or because he was holding back some inner discomfort.

But all in all, I didn't throw up this time.

I looked at him, and somehow, I felt like laughing.

He walked up to me, regaining his usual calmness, his voice hoarse as he asked, "What else do I need to do?"

Yes, I did want to torment him, to vent the resentment that had been deeply buried in my heart. I was not willing to uncontrollably feel for him every time he tried to get close and make amends. I was not willing to have been genuinely hurt by him, yet still uncontrollably feel for him. That's why I brought him here.

Wanted to see him in a mess, wanted to tell him, I wouldn't be soft-hearted, wouldn't be moved by his approach.

But... it seems like the person whose heart aches unbearably is still me.

His words left me at a loss for a response. But was that it?

Hate was not thorough, love was not resigned, going on in such a lukewarm manner, what would be the end? People, just like that, the more they hesitate, the more contradictory they become, and the more pain they endure.

Looking at him, I suddenly sneered, "No matter what you do, you're suffering?"

and magnetic, "Yes!"

Some evils, once nurtured, become increasingly uncontrollable. Yes, what kind of torment is it to embarrass him like this? What I want is even more outrageous.

Looking at him, I reached out my hand and said, "Give me the car keys."

Without asking any questions, he handed me the car keys with almost no consideration.

Seeing him so obedient, I said, "Walter, you said it yourself, whatever I want to do, you'll endure it. So, you walk back by yourself."

After speaking, I turned around to drive.

"Tabatha." He spoke, stopping me.

I stopped, turned back to look at him, didn't ask, just waited for him to speak.

Looking at me, his face slightly pale, he said, "The anger is gone, can we start over?"
