Summary

Fanore is a real place with an unreal ambience that also makes it a Celtic 'Thin Place'. It can appear unchanging but when time itself is in flux, everything can change in an instant. Fanore is the first of my 'Thin Places' Series Novellas. Between the covers expect to be taken on a visit or possibly a revisit to a small section of the Burren County of Clare, but this is no guide book. The hills overlooking Fanore are a very special place where the membrane that separates our physical world from the vastness of infinity beyond has been weakened. These fracture zones can exist for a multitude of reasons but unwritten history will usually plays a big part. It can echo almost as loudly as unrequited love or even anger. Just because no-one writes history in a way that can understand it later doesn't mean it never happened. I've picked a nice day for your visit so come along with me and immerse yourself in this apparently idyllic countryside, but do remember to stay on the pathways. In 'Thin Places' time is not always constant and people can come and go as easily as other, less welcome things.
