Wolfe

"You both called her your mate?!" Wes asked as he looked at us bewildered. "I knew it would be either one of you romantic morose f u c k s."

I shrugged my shoulders while Dev nodded his head slowly.

"It just... kind of slipped out..." He confessed as he scratched the back of his head like he's embarrassed about it.

But I, for one, am not really bothered by it.

It's not like we've told here we're part human and part Lycan. It's just an endearing nickname of some sorts, and Dev told Suri that too, so I'm sure she's not suspicious about it.

"And you? Did it just slip out of you, too?" Wes turned to me with a raised brow and his hands on his hips, looking a lot like Keith right now when he lectures us about something.

I let out a deep exhale. "It doesn't matter if it did or didn't, we have bigger fishes to fry. What happened to your tech guy? Did he get the picture deleted on every goddamn server on this godforsaken planet?"

Wes nodded. "Easy peasy. Even got it wiped from every Thorne students' phones so it's like nothing even happened. Apparently, anyone who uses the internet in the academy leaves a trace and by using that, you can get into their phones and delete it without even leaving your room. Technology's fucking something, that's for sure."

"Good to know I have to restart my phone back to factory mode and never use their internet again," Dev groaned as he took out his phone and began to click on the screen.

"Why? Got some nudes in there, Devie? Don't worry, my tech guy is as straight as a ruler, though he'd probably sell your pictures to another more non-straight site." Wes teased, in which Dev did not hesitate to retaliate.

"Not mine, but Suri's, so you better tell your tech guy to delete my data on his computer or Mr. Straight As A Ruler is going to have a field day."

My eyes widened and my head snapped to Dev, but Wes beat me to it, saying exactly the same thing that was on my mind.

"You took pictures of Suri na k e d?! You a*****e!" He said before clicking the speed dial on his phone and a second later, someone answered on the other line.

"Need something else deleted, Wolfe? What is it this time? A s e x tape?"

Dev and I both rolled our eyes together. I'm so fucking glad Wes is the one who communicates with this guy. My patience could literally never.

"No, fu c k wad. I need you to delete my brother's data on your computer. Everything. Every single thing, you got it? And I will replace out if you take a look and you know what I'll do." Wes' tone turned grim and I gave him a raised brow in question. "What are you going to do?" I mindlinked him.

"Ah, I'll just make sure to buy out the stock of all the bagels in the only place he goes to. The man can't live without his bagels." He answered, and for a split second, I think, that's absolutely absurd. Surely nobody would be threatened by that.

"Okay, okay! I won't!" The man shouted, sounding distressed on the other side before we heard a faint sound of something getting deleted in the background. "I did it, okay?! Are you happy? Now I'm hanging up and getting me a bagel, you freaking maniac." When the call is done, Wes is looking at us with a proud smirk.

"Show me the pictures of Suri," he suddenly said as he held his hand out to Dev.

"There are none," he answered, and relief coursed through my veins.

I knew he wouldn't do something careless like that, but for a second, I kind of doubted him. Suri just has that effect on us. She makes us do things we would normally never do, like, you know, take her nudes knowing full well if it gets found, it would destroy her. None of us wanted that. It would destroy us, too.

Just this morning when we got back home and after she found out about the stupid gossip that got released, she ran to her room and hasn't gone out since.

We told her over and over that she had nothing to worry about, that nobody knows it's us, but even if they do, it'll be gone and nobody will even remember it in time. We would make sure to bury it.

As well as the people who started it.

But she doesn't handle pressure like the three of us, I guess, so she's kind of taking this a little harder.

I just hope she comes out soon. I fucking miss her.

"What do you mean there are none?! You just said-"

"I said that so you'd delete my data with no questions asked. Got you." Dev wiggled his eyebrows at Wes, taunting him even more.

"You little sh-"

Wes is about to lunge at Dev, but I managed to get in between the two.

"Knock it off, we have something else to discuss. Or rather, two things." I remind them and they quickly get serious again.

They know this conversation had been long overdue ever since we found out, but because we've been a little too preoccupied, also known as not being able to take our hands off of Suri, we haven't been able to handle it. "We have to tell Keith," Dev spoke.

"We will," I told him. "Just not now. What do you think he'll do? Suri is human, Dev. And we are three very fucking powerful Lycans. He'll be terrified of us hurting her."

"We're not going to hurt her," Wes corrected.

But as much as I want to believe that, we can't leave it up to chance. We've all had experiences when we couldn't control ourselves, and sure that was back then when we had less control over our wolves, because it was just the beginning, but who's to say it won't happen again?

"I don't think you need reminding of that time you trespassed a zoo because you couldn't control your wolf, Wes."

"I- uh..." He bit his lip and looked away.

"And you, Dev. That was a really shitty night for the both of us. We could have gone to jail if the guy in that car died and it was traced back to us. Or worse, they'd have realized that damage to his car wasn't caused by another car, but by you, who wasn't able to control his wolf."

The sudden pain in Dev's eyes made me feel bad instantly. I hated bringing up our shortcomings, but I needed to remind them that we had it because if I can think this way, then I'm sure Keith can, too.

And I knew too damn well that Keith would do everything to protect Suri. He's long seen her as his daughter, but even more so now, and though he loved us too, he can't change the fact that we are also half beasts.

Half... monsters.

"I'm sorry I had to bring it up, Dev, but you understand what I'm trying to say here, right?" I turned to my brother who had moved to look down at the ground.

He always shuts off when the topic gets brought up. I don't understand entirely what he's going through, the guilt that's inside of him, but all I know is that it was a good thing whoever it was that was involved in the accident made it out alive. "Then when can we tell him?" He finally spoke as he turned back up to look at me.

"I was thinking when she turns eighteen. She'll be legal and even if Keith makes her leave, he technically won't have a hold on her. She can choose to stay... with us."

"And hopefully she does," Wes added and I gave him a nod to agree.

"Okay. On her eighteenth. Next week isn't too far away, anyway." Dev said with a half smile.

"Maybe she'll even turn into a wolf then explaining everything to her will be so much easier," Wes commented and I couldn't help but snort at his absurd statement.

"You've been watching too much Teen Wolf. This is the real world, not a show for horny girls. Are you trying to tell us something here, Wes?" My brow rises as I fold my arms in front.

"I will neither deny, nor confirm. Just know that Derek Hale is pretty good looking." He answered with a grin.

"You are such an idiot." I told Wes before slapping him at the back of his head, and he was about to do the same to me when Dev spoke.

"No, Wes is right..." He said with a thinking expression.

"You think Derek Hale is also good looking?"

For fuck's sake, Wes.

Dev glared at him. "No, moron, about Suri possibly being a wolf, too."

"You're not being serious. What are you two smoking?" I glanced at both of them and Wes merely just widened his grin, the little shit.

"No, I'm serious. Think about it. Why would the Moon Goddess give us her as our mate if she wasn't like us?" Dev pointed out.

"Maybe because she's perfect for us, even if she is just human?" I answered, surprised by my own words.

Wes starts clapping jokingly. "Mr. I Don't Believe In Mates, you're sounding like a real firm believer right now."

I shoot daggers at him with my eyes, but roll my eyes when I realize he also has a point. Unfortunately for me.

"Okay, I was wrong, and I admit that now, but it doesn't change the fact that she can't possibly be a wolf. We would have sensed or smelled it in her the second she walked into this house."

"Or not," Dev commented. "If her wolf is dormant, there's no way."

I began to think back on everything that might be related to Suri having a wolf, but the idea just seems so absurd that I can't focus on it too much.

But then again, I thought the same thing about her being our mate, but look at us now.

Ah, fuck this, we'll figure it out when the time comes. I need to get some damn sleep because tomorrow is going to be a big day for all of us.

"Okaaay, this topic is fucking my brain up, we should move on to the other one because I need to be up at the crack a*s of dawn for training." I told the two and they shook their heads at me.

"What's the other one?" They both asked.

I gave them a content smile. I've been waiting to have a good enough reason to do this, and now that they've given us more than enough ammo (since Suri told us she remembered one of the men who took her said it was them that helped get to her), it's time to fire the shots once and for all.

"Boys, I think it's about time we brought down a specific monarchy composed of fake tans and plastic boobs. What do you say?"

Both Wes and Dev smiled amusedly.

"I say, where do we start?"
