Jules was always going on about his boss, raving about just how impressive they were. Anyone who could leave Jules so awestruck was someone they were all dying to meet. But Jules kept his cards close to his chest, and no one had ever caught a glimpse of this mysterious boss. The curiosity was eating them alive. With a casual "Hmm," Jules put the phone to his ear, feeling a touch of anxiety as he listened to the dial tone. Please pick up, boss, he silently pleaded.

Holden was just as eager, leaning in to catch even a hint of who this enigmatic boss might be.

Finally, after a couple of rings, the call was answered. Jules lit up and rushed to speak, "Boss, where are you? I've hit a snag and could really use your help, you—" "Get in here."

Before he could finish, a cool voice cut him off with those three words, then the line went dead. Jules was left staring in shock.

Holden was equally dumbfounded. He had clearly heard the voice-a young, cool, and oddly familiar female voice.

Jules's boss was a young girl? And in true boss fashion, she had just snapped at him with no hesitation.

Why did she say 'get in here'? Could it mean-

With newfound urgency, Jules darted out as the elevator doors opened. The security guard outside nodded respectfully and let him through without a hitch.

Jules walked briskly into the room, first noticing how packed it was, then locking eyes on Flora, who stood there with arms folded, leaning against the wall. His heart skipped a beat.

Oh, boy. The boss was already here. She had been on the phone just moments ago, and now she was here in person. Had someone ticked her off? Was it someone from his own team? "Jules!"

Little Six beamed at the sight of him and rushed over, "Jules, thank goodness you're here! You've got to see this; the other side is relentless. Willens and I couldn't make any headway." The moment he saw Jules, Little Six's bravado vanished, replaced by puppy-like eagerness. Yet Jules didn't even glance his way and walked straight past him.

He went straight to Flora.

Mr. Richard and Mr. Tanner greeted him with all due respect, "Chairman Jiang."

Jules didn't acknowledge them, his attention fixed solely on Flora.

The two exchanged puzzled

glances. What was going on? Had Chairman Jiang fallen head over heels for Flora the moment he laid eyes on her? Why else would he zero in on her like that, with such intensity?

That wouldn't do at all. Flora was engaged!

Just as the two were thinking of stepping in, Jules spoke up-

"Boss!"

He sidestepped them and approached Flora, "Boss, what a coincidence. I was just about to ask for your help, and here you are."

He carefully watched Flora's face, "Did someone upset you?"

Flora gave him a quick look, didn't answer, and moved over to the computer to start tracking Kruiz's location. No one tried to stop her this time.

Everyone was still reeling from Jules calling her "boss."

Mr. Richard and Mr. Tanner stared at each other, bewildered. How many more surprises did Flora have up her sleeve? Even the chairman of the National Computer Association had to call her boss.

Little Six looked like he'd been struck by lightning.

Holden was more composed; he had guessed as much when he heard Flora's voice over the phone and had braced himself.

"Did I just imagine that?" Little Six murmured, rubbing his face.

Jules calling a young girl boss?

"Nope, you heard it right." Holden replied earnestly.

Little Six opened his mouth, at a loss for words: "Did I just insult someone?"

"Yep." Holden was blunt: "You insulted your boss's boss."

Little Six: "..."
