Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life -
Chapter 424
Someone had shared the latest gossip on the school forum, and now, the University of Maple Grove had a new favorite pastime: guessing who would bring gifts for Flora today and what those gifts might be. Flora glared at the gift box on her desk, her expression darkening. Without a word, she grabbed it and tossed it into the trash.
Cynthia quickly stepped in, "Hold on, Flora! That's Tiffany's latest collection, worth thousands. Throwing it away would be such a waste."
"Flora, you've got to come up with a solution. This can't keep going on," Eilies added.
Over the past few days, Flora had received enough gifts to fill an entire basket: a Chanel bag, Armani lipstick, Yves Saint Laurent perfume. Annoyingly, the gifts were all spot-on, clearly the result of thorough research into what girls liked.
Flora felt a headache coming on; she had never been pestered like this before. If this kept up, she'd have to calm Connor down again. He could be quite the jealous type.
After class, Flora wasn't surprised to see Ivan waiting at the door. He was holding a box of chocolates. He shoved the chocolates into her hands and bolted.
Flora grabbed him by the collar, dragging him into an empty classroom, and slammed the door shut. "Take these back and stop bothering me."
"A gift for a girl should never be taken back," Ivan said, waving his hand. "Flora, we really want you to join the contest."
"So, you'll just keep sending gifts if I don't agree? Throwing away thousands of dollars doesn't bother you?"
"It's natural for boys to give gifts to girls, and a few thousand dollars isn't much!" Ivan said earnestly. "Besides, I really admire you. Even if you don't join us, it's fine. These gifts are given freely." Girls are born to receive gifts, right?
Flora looked into his sincere eyes and sighed. "..."
A bunch of fools.
She rubbed her temples, at a loss for how to handle them. These boys were pure and kind-hearted, albeit a bit naive and straightforward. Because of their kindness, Flora didn't know how to deal with them.
"I have a condition..."
Ten minutes later, Flora walked out of the classroom and called Aisha. "You need more people, right? I've found you a dozen tech-savvy guys. Anything you don't understand or are too busy to handle, let them do it."
Flora's condition was for Ivan and his group to help out at Gale Corporation. Sending these top students from the University of Maple Grove to Gale Corporation seemed like a bit of a waste, but they were happy to do it.
It was Friday, and after her classes, Flora headed straight back to the Irving family home. If she didn't return soon, Raul and Henrik would have gone to Connor's place to fetch her.
Knowing she was coming back, Raul and Henrik had skipped going to the office and instead prepared a feast for her. Henrik handed Flora a cup of tea, grinning, "Miss Regretless, please have some tea." "Brother, you're teasing me!" Flora protested.
Henrik smiled and patted her head, "Alright, I won't say it anymore."
He had always wondered why Rafael, with so many big companies to choose from, decided to partner with him. At that time, Florik Entertainment was just getting started, with hardly any reputation. Now he understood it was all because of Flora.
His little sister was Miss Regretless.
Henrik rarely mentioned Flora in front of others, and even after her identity was revealed, he didn't use her status for publicity.
