Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life -
Chapter 480
Two boys nodded.
"I saw your performance, and it was truly impressive."
Aisha wore a warm, genuine smile, making both boys blush.
With a comforting seriousness, Aisha added, "Losing this competition doesn't matter. In my heart, you guys are the real champions."
"What do you mean?"
The boys were puzzled. The scores hadn't even been announced yet. Why was she saying they would lose?
Currently, the only ones who might surpass them were from the University of Maple Grove, but the formulas Flora wrote seemed unlikely to score.
"Ms. Aisha, do you know something we don't?" the taller boy asked.
Aisha knew more than they did, being close to the judges.
This was exactly the moment Aisha was waiting for. A hint of triumph flashed in her eyes, though her face still wore an innocent look. "Don't you know? Actually, Flora and Chairman Jiang are....."
...
At the competition venue.
After nearly twenty minutes of waiting, the audience was getting restless.
"They're back! They're back!"
Suddenly, a voice full of excitement burst from the crowd.
Flora and the four judges were seen walking from the entrance.
Jules led the way, the three judges slightly behind, with Flora leisurely trailing at the end.
As soon as Flora approached, Maddox couldn't wait to ask, "Flora, how did it go?"
Mr. Jurado and Brianna couldn't help but look over.
Flora, with a mysterious smile, remained silent.
Jules and the three judges took their seats.
The host, receiving a message through his earpiece, announced with a smile, "The competition continues! The performances from the University of Maple Grove and Imperial Tech among the four colleges were spectacular! Now, let's see their final scores!"
As the host finished, the large screen swiftly displayed the rankings and scores.
University of Maple Grove, 100 points.
Imperial Tech University, 81 points.
Metropolis Teachers University, 72 points.
Kyoto Sports University, 63 points.
The scores caused an uproar among the audience!
University of Maple Grove scored a perfect score!
A perfect score!
It was unprecedented in the years the College Computer Alliance Competition had been held.
Moreover, a perfect score for the University of Maple Grove also meant one thing.
The judges had validated those seemingly bizarre formulas Flora wrote.
"A perfect score!"
Maddox was tongue-tied, barely able to speak.
A perfect score was beyond their wildest dreams!
Brianna and Ivan were equally shocked.
Mr. Jurado, usually calm, was moved to tears by the excitement.
On Imperial Tech's side, however, the atmosphere was less than pleasant.
A hint of dissatisfaction lingered.
Finally, a boy stood up, loudly saying, "We do not accept this result!"
"Good day, judges. We cannot accept a perfect score for the University of Maple Grove."
"We all saw that although Flora's answers were correct, the formulas were entirely wrong. They shouldn't have received any points, at most a sympathy point or two. So, how did they achieve a perfect score?"
The venue fell silent for a moment.
Nobody expected Imperial Tech to directly challenge the judges in the competition.
But it was understandable. If they were in their shoes, they wouldn't be satisfied either.
The perfect score for the University of Maple Grove was indeed mystifying.
Jules slowly stood up and said, "Awarding the University of Maple Grove a perfect score was a unanimous decision by the judging panel, absolutely fair and just. The formulas Flora wrote, although not found in textbooks, have been verified by us as completely correct, and naturally, they deserve a perfect score."
"Really?" The boy who spoke first sneered, retorting with dissatisfaction, "Chairman Jiang, are you sure it's as you say, and not because you're overly familiar with Flora, allowing for bias?"
