Brianna's heart felt like it was gripped by a giant hand as she watched him approach, making it hard to even breathe.

"Mind if I sit here for a bit?" Jules asked with a smile, stopping right in front of her.

"Ah... Oh!" Brianna stammered, quickly standing up to offer her seat.

Jules took the seat without hesitation, leaning towards Flora and squinting, "Flora, that was a smart move."

Before, since he was a judge and Flora a contestant, he had kept his distance for her sake. But now, with everyone aware of their friendship, there was no need to keep up the pretense.

He usually called Flora "boss" or "president," but with folks from the University of Maple Grove around, he just used her name.

Flora glanced at him with a blank expression, "Buzz off."

Ivan and the others nearby wiped sweat off their brows. This was the president of the National Computing Association... Couldn't Flora be a bit more polite?

"I won't buzz off. Flora could mock me a thousand times, and I'd still adore her like it's my first love!" Jules said, his attractive eyes giving everyone a deeply affectionate look due to his nearsightedness. It was excessively sweet.

Flora kicked him not too gently in the leg, making him suddenly much more reserved. In front of Flora, Jules's usual composure and restraint disappeared, replaced by a more childish demeanor. Brianna kept her gaze fixed on Jules. Her stare was so intense that when Jules looked back at her, his half-closed eyes misted over, making him hard to read. "You're Brianna, right?" "...Yes!" Brianna hadn't expected him to address her, and her heart raced even faster.

"Your performance in both rounds was remarkable. The judges have been praising you. For a girl to achieve what you have today is no small feat."

In the computing field, girls are often seen as naturally less capable than boys. In today's competition, female contestants were few, and Brianna's performance was one of the best. Brianna felt like her heart was about to leap out of her chest! Jules, noticing her blushing cheeks, his eyes shimmering with a hidden light, suddenly asked, "Your relationship with Flora seems a bit strained." Brianna paled slightly, instinctively responding, "No, no! We get along very well! Extremely well!"

Ivan, Maddox, and others couldn't help but glance her way. Even Flora looked at her, raising an eyebrow.

A good relationship? Brianna wished she could just disappear into the ground! She felt so foolish... But what could she do? She couldn't admit her relationship with Flora was poor, especially since Flora was now a friend of Jules's.

Fortunately, at that moment, a staff member came to fetch Jules. Jules then left. Brianna breathed a sigh of relief, glaring at Flora menacingly, "Listen! Our issues are between us! You better not say anything in front of Jules!"

Flora looked back at her, unfazed, "With that look, you're saying we get along 'extremely well"?"

Brianna felt both awkward and ashamed, "Just... don't tell Jules!" After saying this, she dragged Ivan outside for some air.

Brianna fretted all the way, "Do you think Flora will tell Jules about our issues? Could she badmouth me to him?"

Ivan replied helplessly, "Don't worry, Flora isn't like that." Brianna was still worried...

"Alright, let's focus on preparing for the next round," Ivan consoled, "With Flora here, we've got a real shot at the championship."

Despite their victory over Imperial Tech in the second round, there was a longstanding rule in these competitions.
