In the lively film city, Cecelia sat in the back of the minivan, eyes glued to her phone, her mind wandering.

"Hey, what's up?" Diego, her agent, gently nudged her shoulder. "We're here. You need to nail this audition, alright? It's a big deal; everyone's vying for a spot." "Yeah, yeah, I got it." Cecelia waved him off, turning off her phone and sliding it into her pocket.

"Are you feeling okay? You seem a bit off lately. Is it exhaustion?"

"I'm good, honestly."

Cecelia gave a carefree laugh and hopped out of the van with ease.

"What are you doing here?"

A sharp voice cut through the air. Cecelia turned and saw Aisha standing there.

"Well, well, look who it is."

Cecelia let out a low whistle.

What are the odds?

"Auditioning, too?" Aisha eyed her up and down.

After Aisha's recent scandal got her blacklisted by Rose's team, leaving her in a slump, Cecelia seemed to have luck on her side, climbing her way to the top.

Cecelia just nodded, her thoughts elsewhere, not really in the mood to chat.

"Come on, let's move," Aisha's agent urged, pulling her along. "Cecelia's got Mr. Raul from Florik Entertainment backing her, and his sister is Flora, the global champ. Their family is not one to mess with." Aisha's mood darkened at this.

"Relax, the role's in the bag for you. I've got pull with the director; he's already on board to pick you," her agent assured her.

That seemed to calm Aisha down a bit.

Inside, a group of directors gathered, breaking into smiles as Aisha walked in: "Ah, Aisha, welcome."

"Directors."

Aisha's smile grew as she noticed Cecelia trailing in after her.

"Rumor has it there's something between the director and Aisha," Diego remarked, sensing their chances were slim.

It looked like the director had promised the part to Aisha.

Aisha thought so too: "Director, regarding the role="

Before she could finish, the director's gaze shifted to Cecelia, and he quickly moved to greet her.

"Ah, Ms. Cecelia, so glad you could join us."

His warmth towards Cecelia was noticeably greater than towards Aisha.

Aisha was taken aback, turning to her agent, who was just as confused.

"Cecelia, your presence here is a huge honor," the director beamed know your talent well; no need for an audition. The lead role is yours

"Director!" Aisha couldn't hold back any longer and stepped in, her agent quickly pulling the director aside, "Director Zhou, what's going on? We had an agreement for Aisha to get the role."

"I'm afraid things have changed," the director said with a sigh. "What happened?" the agent pressed, clearly worried.

"You haven't heard? Flora, the global champion, is back in town. Just look at today's trending topics; the buzz is massive. Cecelia's with Florik Entertainment, and Flora is the sister of the president there. It's perfect for publicity!"

He had thought of casting Flora, but that was a long shot. With countless top-tier shows and scripts chasing her, she hadn't committed to any. So, he opted for Cecelia.

Besides, in terms of acting chops and looks, Cecelia was just as good as Aisha.

When he weighed everything, choosing Cecelia was a no-brainer.

Aisha heard every word, loud and clear.
