Forsaken betrayal
Chapter 7

Chapter

The both of them walked towards me and the scene of them making out together replayed in my head like a movie. I replace it hard to believe Sylvia, my closest friend right from highschool, could betray a man. Just the thought of it shows how the world could fill with wickedness and hatred but I wasn't hurt anymore, at least it helps me to realize Damon isn't the one for me..

I can't believe he killed my unborn child without blinking an eye just to keep his affair with her.

Sylvia tried touching my face but Instantly moved away from her leaving her hand hanging in the air.

"I'm hungry, what are you both cooking?" I asked her before walking inside the kitchen leaving the both of them at the entrance of the kitchen.. And of course, they didn't suspect me drawing the line between them.

"I made your favorite, babe," Damon responded grinning from ear to ear... if it were to be before I would have been screaming out my lungs with happiness but now all I felt towards the was nothing but hatred and a deadly anger. "I was so worried when you slept for a whole two days, it scared the hell out of me that I had to call your best friend,"

"She was so worried that she came immediately, can you see Sylvia is the best person ever," Damon said, flashing her a smile..

"Best person indeed, At least she's the best option to steal you anyway," I thought inwardly, luckily I didn't say it out loud.

"Thank you so much, Sylvia. I'm glad I have someone like you in my life," I said even though I'll never be glad to have someone like her, not with her betrayal.

"Com'on we're friends. Who'll take care of you if not me," Sylvia said with a broad smile.

"I can't believe I slept for a whole two days. What about your work, Sylvia?" I asked her while trying to study her expression. I'll try my best to answer my questions.

"Have you forgotten, I'm jobless, Harlow?" She asked me looking straight into my eyes for an answer but I was quick to conceal my expression.

"I must have slept too long to forget My bestfriend is jobless, Hahaha," I said in a mockery tone but she wasn't able to suspect anything. She must have thought I was pulling her legs.

Thinking about it, it was around 2018 that she was jobless while looking for someone to invest in her company. At that moment, I went back to the date and year.

I sighed helplessly, I had thought the moment I woke up everything would be back to normal.

"What year are we?" I asked again and what I got was a questioning gaze from the both of them. They must be wondering if I had gone mad for asking such a question.

"How many times do you want to ask that, baby? Is everything okay with you? I'm worried." Damon said but I only flashed him a smile.

"You should worry about your downfall instead," I thought briefly before flipping back my hair and at that moment I realized truly I have traveled back to the year 2018 for real.

I had short hair but around the 2018 period my hair was very long and silky. But my question is what the heck is going on with me? Is this a second chance to get my revenge on everyone? I wondered.

"What are you thinking about? Your phone is ringing," Sylvia said, jolting me out of my thoughts as she waved her hand in the air with my cellphone in her hand dancing in the air.

I expected her to hold my phone anyway. After all, we've been best friends for years and we know everything about each other except for the fact that she had an eye for my man which is more disgusting.

I walked towards her and got my phone, it was my father calling, I couldn't believe it and almost immediately the incident when Damon died flowed into my head. How no one in particular believed me. Even my parents didn't believe me. "Why are you hesitating? Don't worry, I have explained to them on your behalf that you were busy because you just started your company," She said, flashing me a smile which I returned.

Now that she mentioned it my mind suddenly went to it, and truly I just started my company, while Damon works under me.

"Darling, are you okay? Why don't you come home and have dinner with us?" My father's loud voice rang into my ear the moment I swiped to the answer option.

"I'm alright, father. I have been busy with work. I'll try to create a time to visit you," I said even without anyone telling me, I knew my voice sounds cold but what do you expect? I can't just forget the fact that the same family of mine betrayed me when I needed them most.

I expected them to stand their ground for me. Even if they're the only ones who believe I didn't kill Damon, I would have been so glad. But when my whole family didn't believe me, how do I expect a stranger to believe me?

"Why do you sound cold? Do you have a cold, Harlow?" My father asked me and I looked down at my feet with pain. I couldn't bring myself to speak out my heart to him, I couldn't bring myself to ask him why he didn't have a single belief in me. I just couldn't, I was so confused at that moment with a heavy heart.

"Might be because my work was too hectic for me. Don't worry about me, father. I'll be fine," I said, hanging up the call without waiting for his response.

I felt bad and at the same time I didn't feel remorseful for my actions. If not for anything, for the sake that I'm his daughter, he should have believed me.

I walked back to the kitchen unnoticed and I saw Sylvia hugging Damon back.

"Oops, I didn't expect their relationship to have started early," I smirked evilly before walking back a little bit far away where I screamed out their names to notify them that I'm almost at the kitchen.
