Harvey couldn’t remember anymore, but he knew it wasn’t very wel orning

Madison’s eyes, which had been once brimming with hope, saw their flames slowly die out only fear and sorrow were left behind.

There was a time when Madison had great hopes for the Locke family. But at this point, even blatant favoritism didn’t make her angry anymore. Once the expectations were gone, there was nothing to be mad about.

A tinge of sadness washed over Harvey. The lively chatter from upstairs only made the dining table even lonelier. “You have every right to be upset, Maddie, I’ll always have your back,”

Just like the rest of the family was willing to protect Rebecca unconditionally, Harvey could do the same for Madison.

A hint of sorrow flashed in Harvey’s eyes as he looked down.

Madison couldn’t bring herself to ignore the gloomy air surrounding Harvey. After a brief pause, she reluctantly asked, “Will you agree to whatever I ask?”

That woman wasn’t meant for Harvey. Forcing a relationship would end badly for him. However, before Madison could finish, Harvey agreed without a second thought, “Sure.” He then calmly fixed his gaze on Madison, hoping she’d make another request. Feeling a little awkward, she dropped her gaze to avoid his intense stare. “That’s all” “Is that everything?”

Harvey dejectedly sat down and sighed, “So it’s just something so trival.”

Back then, when Robecca was upset, her demands were always outrageous.

With her bead down, Madison delt a mix of strange emotions.

Was that how it felt to be doted on by a brother? There was no need for a reason, and Harvey agreed as soon as the request was made.
