From Here to Ecstasy -
Chapter 59 - Say What?
A/N: Thank you N.Y.O.B. and PenumbraMINE for reading my chapters as soon as I post them. Thank you for your comments. I love hearing from you two.
Recap
I watched as Willow walked over and laid her hand on his arm, bringing his hands to a standstill. “You don’t need to bow to me, not like you should for the Moon Goddess. You only need to be respectful to me. Do you understand?”
The man’s breath rushed out. “Thank you, Luna Willow. I understand now,” he answered as his shoulders loosened and he smiled.
I heard a tapping noise. As I listened I could tell it was Morris Code. I listened to the code and yelled, “Down! Now!”
Griffith’s POV
We all dropped to the ground as we spelled our pack members. We made sure to make the spell cover projectile items and things that go kaboom. I was glad that we had when the ground exploded around us, sending nails and heavy bolts flying at incredible speed.
We went to get up, but I heard tapping, the same tapping my mom had heard. I listened carefully, looking around slowly to see who was causing all this trouble. I noticed it was Tucker. I had a thought that made me snort out loud. Willow looked at me, smiling as if she knew what I was thinking.
Yep.
Tucker the fucker number two.
I almost laughed out loud, but I needed to get my hands on Tucker. I let Willow know what I was going to do. I kissed her and teleported next to Tucker without him knowing I was beside him, but he didn't notice me. I wanted to snort at the fucker but I needed to stop his hands from moving again. I grabbed a hold of his hands and squeezed as tight as I could. He started screaming as I broke every bone in his hand.
“Why would you break my hand, Alpha Griffith?” The idiot asked me as he held his broken hands against his body, tears rolling down his face.
I read his mind as quickly as I could. “Oh, I don’t know, maybe because you were using Morris Code to set off explosions around my pack. Now I know why you are lying behind everyone else,” I sarcastically said as I rolled my eyes.
“I was just tapping my hands because the explosions made me nervous. I-”
I growled at him, making him duck his head. “How many more bombs do you have.” He started to say something. “And, do not lie to me,” I ordered him, using my Alpha tone.
He ducked his head and looked at me as if he was scared shit-less. “I have four more bombs.”
Say what?
I growled again, knowing Blaze, my wolf, was showing in my eyes. I took a deep breath and figured out what he was. A vampire and wolf hybrid. Now I knew why he could shake off my Alpha tone.
“I call bullshit. You have at least another six bombs around the packhouse and one in the packhouse. I know what you are. But, who the hell are you?” I asked as I stood up, bringing him to his feet.
I felt a displacement of air and was afraid he had someone else helping him. I reached out and pulled the person over my shoulder, slamming them to the ground in front of me. My eyes widened at the person laying on the ground.
“Good to see you too, Alpha Griffith,” he sarcastically said as he stood up and shook my hand. “I see you found one of my escapees.”
“You know this fucker named Tucker?” I asked as he laughed at the look on Tucker’s face.
“Yeah, he’s one of the defunct King and Queen’s men. I’ve been following him for quite a while and noticed him coming your way.” He smirked. “But, I wanted to see what you would do to him first.”
“Gee, thanks, King Maximus.” I laughed at his face. He wasn’t used to being called King and irked him every time someone in my family addresses as such.
He rolled his eyes. “Think I can take him back with me? I have a new hell, I meant, a prison for him to stay at. Someone keeps teleporting in and letting them escape.”
Asher showed up and smiled at Maximus. “What’s up, bro? Need some help keeping the prisoners in and keeping your prisons teleport proof.”
“Sure. Thank you, Asher. I appreciate any help I can get. Think you can make my bedroom teleport proof, too. I don’t want someone trying to take me out when I’m sleeping. I mean, how embarrassing would that be?”
I let out a huge snort and rolled my eyes at the crazy king. It was good to see him. It had been a while since the last time I had seen him and I was glad he dropped by even if it was to get Tucker.
I noticed Tucker trying to get out of my grip. I held him tighter, causing him to wince from the tight hold I had on him. I looked around me to see everyone with their mouths hanging open. I knew some packs wouldn’t have anything to do with vampyres, but I was taught to be tolerant of every species. I couldn’t stand anyone who couldn’t get to know a person before they had an opinion about them. It was wrong on so many levels and I didn’t want our pack to have hatred of others without knowing the person first.
I called Willow over to me and introduced her to Maximus. She bowed to him as he rolled his eyes.
He pulled her to him and gave her a hug. “Girl, you don’t need to bow to me, well, unless I’m at court. You’re family now.” He looked at me. “Damn, Griffith, you’re a lucky bastard, you know that right?”
I pulled Willow to me and kissed her head. “I’m very lucky she even looked at me twice,” I answered as he nodded and I laughed.
“Well, let me get this piece of shit to his resting place.” He looked at Asher as he sat atop mom’s shoulders. “You coming with-”
Two little monsters showed in front of us. “Yes we are,” Trace and Chase cut him off, causing him to bust out laughing.
“I think you better ask your momma first, don’t you think?”
“Momma, we’re going with Maximus to keep him safe, okay?” Trace and Chase told our mom.
“You may go.” She narrowed her eyes at the two. “But, never tell me you are going to do something without asking me first, well, unless it’s an emergency. You got me?”
They both nodded and gulped. “Yes, Momma.”
"Well, shit!" I turned around and grabbed the man who showed behind me with a blade in his hands. "Who the hell are you?" I asked as I heated up the blade, blistering his hands and causing them to scream.
