Chapter 62
Willow
“What did I say about running away from me, Willow?” Reuben’s soft yet chilling words sent shivers down my spine. How…how had he found me? Could it be that I was imagining this? But his possessive touch on my waist felt real, his hot breath on my ear felt undeniable, and his intense heartbeat felt as physical as my own existence.
He was real! Thanks to our bond, I could clearly feel the rage hidden behind his soft voice. He was holding himself back, but I could sense that he was already at his limit. The aura surrounding me was colder than ice and darker than the evils from the very pit of Hell itself. My heart started racing in fear, it felt as if I would have a heart attack at any moment. Despite being his soulmate, his dominance had never affected me before. However, for the first time I was scared of Reuben. So scared in fact that I stood in his grasp like a statue, holding my breath and not daring to so much as glance back at him.
I had momentarily forgotten about the rogues who had jumped from the window one after another and landed in front of me, immediately noticing me in the arms of an unknown male. The look in Mark’s eyes after seeing me with Reuben was one of someone who saw a meat in another wolf’s mouth.

“Who the fuck are you?” Mark demanded, making the biggest mistake of his life. “How dare you…‘ he choked abruptly on his yell when Reuben lifted his dark green eyes fixing them on him.
Mark went silent, rooted in his spot beneath Reuben’s piercing gaze. The unexpected presence of an Alpha in his domain had caught him off guard, especially one who exuded such a formidable aura. The intensity emanating from the Alpha was akin to the keen edge of a blade, poised not to merely wound flesh but to pierce the very essence of one’s soul. Mark swallowed hard, visibly intimidated, wary of making any further noise. Yet, amidst his apprehension, he couldn’t ignore the desperate growls of his fellow rogues, eager to reclaim the Rose that lay within their grasp.
Mark’s expression contorted into an ugly frown upon discerning Reuben’s unwavering determination to retain me, He could not bear to lose me to the hands of an unknown Alpha in his own territory, “Release that she–wolf to me!” he roared, “She belongs to me!” His voice reverberated on the air, echoed by the thirteen rogues behind him who had already transformed into their wolf forms, their menacing stares and bared teeth aimed at Reuben.
“She belongs to you?” Reuben’s deep voice slowly reiterated.
“Yes, she’s damn well mine!” Mark failed to perceive the imminent peril underlying Reuben’s tone, but I did. If only he realized he was inviting his own demise. “That wretch killed one of my men! She was meant to be gang banged by us tonight. Now I’ll relish torturing her while I fuck her,” he growled, casting me a malevolent glare filled with bloodlust.
“Gang bang?” Reuben’s voice carried a hint of amusement. “It appears I’ve interrupted your revelry,” he remarked, his grip on my waist gradually casing. Mark’s expression darkened at the sudden shift in Reuben’s demeanor,
“Now that you’re aware, then surrender the she–wolf to me. I’ll spare your life,” Mark declared.

Reuben’s l*ps curled into another wry smile as his hand slid down my back, boldly grasping my hips. “Your request seems rather difficult to fulfill,” he murmured.
I clutched at the fabric of my dress, trembling at Reuben’s touch.
“Why?” Mark growled, his voice laced with defiance.

“Now I crave the same revelry,” Reuben murmured, his touch gentle as he studied my reaction from the corner of his eye. I squeezed my thighs together, a tingling sensation igniting between my thighs, yet I remained rooted in place. “However…” he paused, releasing his hold on my rear and locking eyes with Mark, “I desire it to be gruesome and chaotic.” With that said, a gust of wind swept past me, unmistakably Reuben’s doing. In the blink of an eye, he bypassed Mark, who glanced down to replace his chest to n*eck grievously torn open. Bleeding profusely, he collapsed to the ground, his life extinguished in an instant.
The other rogues stood in shock, mouths agape at the sight of their fallen leader.
Reuben rested a foot mercilessly on Mark’s lifeless head, his gaze fixed on me. “He left the fun of the party far too quickly. Perhaps he didn’t appreciate my idea of a gang bang. Or maybe his interpretation of enjoyment held far more intriguing implications?”
My palms grew clammy as I grasped the implication behind Reuben’s words. The news of me being gang banged by other men had clearly incited him. It was a calamitous situation, one that had arisen solely because I had fled from him.
The other rogues emerged from their stupor, their growls resonating with the flames of vengeance ignited by Mark’s demise. They encircled Reuben, fueled by the desire to avenge their dead leader. I took a cautious step backward, seizing the opportunity presented to me. While the rogues were engaged with Reuben, their inevitable demise looming like a dark cloud overhead, I saw my chance to escape. I had barely evaded Reuben’s grasp once before, and there was no way I could return to him now.
Just as I prepared to retreat further, the rogues lunged at Reuben from all directions. Yet, despite the onslaught, Reuben maintained his focus on me, fully aware of my intentions.
“Don’t even entertain the thought,” Reuben’s eyes bore into mine, a wild fervor burning within them. “If you dare to flee again, then-”
Before he could finish the threat, I pivoted on my heel and sprinted away at a full sprint. There was no way I could remain there and wait for him. All I knew was that I had to escape him by any means necessary. I had to replace my children and-
As thoughts of Wyatt and Lori flooded my mind, a sudden realization struck me. I had detected their scents emanating from Reuben, unmistakably strong. How could this be possible? Wyatt had assured me that they were safe. But how?
Unbeknownst to me as I was being abducted and driven away, Wyatt and Lori dashed after the car that had taken me. After a frantic pursuit, they eventually returned to the restaurant, where they discovered my purse and phone that had been left behind. In a moment of desperation, they dialed a number they had inadvertently memorized over the past few weeks–a number I hadn’t even realized they had committed to memory.

“Kidnapped?!” Reuben’s voice thundered through the restaurant. Wyatt and Lori turned toward the entrance to replace Reuben standing there.
“Daddy!” They both rushed over to him. Their short little legs couldn’t match Reuben’s long urgent strides as he immediately gathered his children up into his arms, clutching them tightly to him as he showered them with k*sses.
“Don’t worry, daddy’s here,” he reassured them, enfolding them in a tight embrace. His own heart pounded in his chest after the harrowing experience of losing then replaceing his children. Abandoned and frightened, the little ones sought solace in his arms, and Reuben, through their bond, became their source of comfort.
As I sprinted through the forest, thoughts of Wyatt and Lori’s scent lingering on Reuben’s b*dy plagued my mind. Suddenly, the agonized cries of the rogues pierced the air, causing me to recoil in horror at the sounds of their demise. The battle raged on behind me, but I dared not look back, my only instinct being to increase my speed and evade capture by Reuben.
I couldn’t fathom how he had managed to replace me. There was no conceivable way he could have tracked me through a device or my scent.
An unfamiliar forest surrounded me, but I relied on my instincts to navigate and replace a way out. After a few tense minutes, the distant sound of a vehicle reached my ears, indicating that I was nearing a highway.
My pace quickened instinctively, fueled by the hope of a successful escape. However, just as the highway came into view, a sudden gust of wind swept past me as Reuben seized me before I could reach safety.
“AHHH…” I screamed at the top of my lungs as we struggled, our bodies crashing to the ground. How had he caught up to me so quickly? I had taken great care to conceal my scent all along the way. Rolling on the ground, I found myself/pinned beneath Reuben’s weight.
“Let me go!” I shrieked, but my plea was met with a forceful k*ss, his l*ps sealing mine shut. My eyes widened in shock as I fought against his grasp. Yet, the more I struggled the more fervent his k*ss became. His angry desperation was an overflowing cup and it felt as if he wanted to eat my l*ps. I sank my teeth into his l*p, causing him to break the k*ss with a sharp intake of breath.
“LET GO!” I attempted to scream, but he crushed his l*ps against mine once more, silencing my protests. This time, I couldn’t manage to bite him again. His overpowering presence rendered me helpless, unable to squirm away as he k*ssed me with wild abandon. He growled like a beast, his fervent embrace leaving me breathless. Exhausted and overwhelmed, my strength waned until I finally succumbed to unconsciousness right then and there.
The only sensation I faintly registered was that of my b*dy being lifted into the air.
I couldn’t gauge how much time had passed, but when I finally opened my eyes, my head felt hollow. After a considerable struggle, I managed to pry my eyes open. At first, everything appeared blurry, but after a few moments the ceiling came into focus.
Blinking rapidly, I tilted my head to the sides and surveyed my surroundings. I found myself in an

unfamiliar dimly lit room lying on a soft bed. Panic surged within me as I attempted to move, only to discover that my hands were tied to the bed, and to my shock, I realized I was…n*ked.
