Hawk’s Woman -
: Chapter 1
Nikki Brown looked toward her friend and knew there was no point in trying to argue with her. The last place she wanted to be was at the Devil’s Beasts MC clubhouse, but her friend had this horrible fantasy.
Diana, her best friend, wanted to become an “old lady.” This was her mission. Nikki just liked hanging out with her, but constantly coming to one of the scariest bars in the county was starting to wear a little thin. Whenever they came here, Diana would wander off, trying to catch the eye of any man she wanted, while she stayed out of the way, drinking juice. She didn’t drink, nor did she smoke or do drugs.
Growing up with a mom who liked to party, and several dads in and out of her life, there was not a whole lot to look forward to. As soon as she could, she got out of her mother’s place and moved into a place of her own. It wasn’t much—a trailer park—but at least it was in a good part of the trailer park. She stayed clear of the drunks and the druggies. She just wanted to get on with her life without the plague of her mother constantly weighing her down. It was why she had no choice but to settle for packing shelves at the local supermarket. She had tried to get in with the beauty salon but her mother being known as the town whore hadn’t exactly helped her cause.
The owner of the salon, Carly Knight, had told her she didn’t want her kind running off customers. By “her kind,” she meant women like her mother—whores.
All her life, she had grown up with the dark cloud of her mother hovering over her, and it infuriated her. The women in town didn’t like her because they thought she was exactly like her mother, Bethany. She was nothing like her mother. First, she was very much a virgin. Seeing the kinds of piggish men her mother brought home to party with, most of them married, she knew she didn’t want to get involved with any man.
It was easier to just be left alone. Besides, all her spare time was spent working, saving up to rent herself a proper apartment. She liked living in her trailer park, but ever since she was a little girl, she dreamed of having her own place. Independence. Something her mother never achieved. Sure, her mom lived in a small, two-bedroom house, but she often had to pay the rent by sleeping with the landlord. One of the many reasons Nikki wanted to get the hell out of there was because her mother had asked her to start doing it to pay her way. She already gave her mom half her wage, but she spent it on drugs and men.
That was when it was time to get the hell out of Dodge.
So far, it was the best thing she ever did. Now, if she could just stop her best friend from wanting to party or getting herself thrown in jail, that would be more ideal. So far, no such luck. Between Diana, and getting robbed, she had to replace a way to save what little money she had. She still had to pay rent for her trailer as well, not to mention her shitty car that had seen better days. The engine light had been blinking away for weeks, if not months, but the money she saved to deal with her car went on bailing out Diana. She loved her friend, but the next time, Diana might have to replace her own way of bailing herself out.
There was a loud noise, a shout, and she tensed up, glancing over to the pool table to see two men hitting each other. No one was intervening, and then there was another punch thrown and raucous laughter as if this was an everyday occurrence. She couldn’t begin to think about what she had just seen, and it was a little too much for her.
Stepping back, she took a deep breath and felt a little sick to her stomach. Diana may love it here, but she didn’t. She needed some sanity.
The only reason she had come tonight was because Diana had begged her. The truth was, her friend only invited her to be the designated driver. She wasn’t interested in her having a good time, or if she hated it.
Nikki hated all violence. One of the many men her mother used to entertain didn’t take no for an answer. Nikki didn’t know what her mother had done to piss him off, but whatever it was had resulted in him attacking her.
Her mother ended up in the hospital, and Nikki gave a statement. Last she heard, he was thrown behind bars because he had done it to multiple women. Nikki didn’t know if her testimony had helped, but at the time, she’d been fourteen. Ever since then, she couldn’t stand violence. Refused to even watch it in movies. Violence was not the answer, not to anything, at least in her book. She felt sick just thinking about it, and wanted nothing to do with it.
Moving away from her tiny spot in the corner, she began to make her way across the main room, keeping close to the shadows as she did so.
Diana didn’t need her to stick around and watch that kind of crap. She doubted her friend would even use her at the end of the night to take her home. If she found a man for the night, Nikki was on her own. She was more than okay with that.
Walking past the bathrooms, she found a door that led her out into another part of the clubhouse. There was a short corridor, but it was dark, and she didn’t want to risk going to places she didn’t belong. Nibbling her bottom lip, she glanced left and right, and then took her time, making her way left, that opened into what appeared to be a small library.
There was no door to this room, but she didn’t see anyone there either. It was quiet. Well, as quiet as hearing the loud music from the main clubhouse, but it was easier to think.
No men drinking, laughing, and no scantily clad women begging to be chased by random men. It was just a room. A room, and silence.
“You’re not supposed to be in here.”
The hard, rugged voice took her by surprise, and she whirled around to see him. She hadn’t spotted the light in the corner of the room. It was a man, sitting, one ankle resting atop his knee, and it looked like he had a book resting on his thighs.
“Uh, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to intrude.”
“But you have,” he said.
Nikki was so embarrassed. This had never happened to her. She was not the kind of woman to go snooping around homes or places that were not her own. “I am so sorry. I didn’t mean—”
“Who are you?” he asked, cutting her off.
Clearly, this was a man who was used to getting answers the first time. He looked positively terrifying. She couldn’t recall feeling this nervous before in her life. She never failed to form words. He must think she was so stupid.
“Nikki, uh, Nikki Brown. I came here with my friend, Diana. She regularly comes here.” She pointed behind her, hoping in the back of her mind that her best friend would come and bail her out. Not that she was so lucky.
He smirked. “One of the desperate.”
“Desperate?”
“Your friend is so obviously trying to replace a man willing to take her as his old lady.”
She didn’t like that he seemed to replace that funny. “Why are you laughing?”
“All the men see right through her, and there is no way she is old lady material.”
Nikki frowned. “So you’re using my friend?”
“She’s the one getting used. Have you come to try your hand? Wanting to play with the big boys.”
She couldn’t help but be disgusted and she shook her head. “No, thank you, I don’t think so.”
This was not happening. She spun on her heel, about to turn away and leave. She’d rather spend the rest of the night in the car than listen to this, or have to be thought of as desperate. Gross.
Tomorrow, she was going to have a severe talking to with Diana. Her friend needed to know the truth, and then she might grow up out of this crap, once and for all. Anger rushed through her. She couldn’t believe what he was saying.
“What makes you think you’re so different?” he asked.
Nikki stopped. In the back of her mind, she knew she should turn around and walk out. This was not the time nor the place for such a conversation. First of all, she was on his turf. She didn’t know why, but she got the sense he was important. Maybe it was his aura or the way he carried himself, but either way, she knew she had to tread carefully. Second, it was just rude to pick a fight and argue with the owner, if that was who he was.
“I didn’t come here looking for a good time, nor am I desperate to be part of this club. I’m here for Diana when she needs me. If she doesn’t replace what she is looking for.”
He chuckled. “You mean if the men play hard to get, and she has to go home empty-handed.”
“Why do you have to be so crude?”
“That’s not being crude, Love. Telling you if they replace a tighter pussy to slip their dick into, that your friend is old news, is slightly cruder, but trust me, I can go harder if you’d like.”
Nikki shook her head. “Whatever. I’ll go and wait in my car.”
“I would just drive home, unless you’re hoping to be riding someone’s dick. Trust me, the men always have use for a piece of pussy.”
“I’ll wait in my car, thanks.”
This time, she didn’t stop, not even to look back, although a part of her really wanted to. She didn’t. There was no point in looking back and seeing his smug face.
Stepping out of the hidden corridor, she made her way back through the main clubhouse. She took a few seconds to glance around, hoping to replace her friend, but no luck She quickly slid past everyone and rushed out to her car.
There were people outside, making out, having sex. Was nothing sacred anymore? She was going to have to wash her eyeballs out. This was not the first time she had seen people having sex. It wasn’t like she was embarrassed about it. She just wanted no part of it.
Climbing behind her wheel, she took a deep breath and slowly expelled it. She was going to have to talk to Diana, there was no doubt about it. Where she would have been insulted at being referred to as desperate, she had a feeling her friend wouldn’t care.
Nikki didn’t know who the hell he thought he was, but she didn’t like him one bit. Yet, his crude words and blunt, honest truth were oddly refreshing. She knew men could be cruel, bullies, and even liars, cheaters, and fakers. Honest, truthful honesty without purposefully being mean—that was new to her.
Whoever he was, he had certainly opened her eyes, and the very least she could do was keep an eye on her friend.

Several days later Hawk wandered around the main room of his clubhouse. His men were having a good time, which was exactly how he wanted it to be. They had just gotten back from a good run, and they were exhausted. The best way to take care of his men was to allow them to let off steam. It was one of the tricks his own father had taught him.
He tried not to think of his dad. Unlike most of the men here, he didn’t have too bad of a relationship with his old man. Sure, it wasn’t sunshine and rainbows. His father knew he was raising a man to take over as president of the Devil’s Beasts MC, one of the most respected and feared clubs in the entire country, and he was more than proud of that fact.
So, every chance his father got, the decisions he made were deemed cruel to outsiders. To him, and to everyone in the club, his father made a man who was fit to take over when the time was right, and that time was five years ago.
His father, God rest his soul, had keeled over just five years ago. It was after one of their successful gun runs. As far as Hawk was concerned, his old man was fine, more than fine. In the peak of health, only he’d died of a heart attack before he even hit the ground. The men were devastated.
Hawk had thought after his father’s death, and once the funeral was done, someone was going to attempt to fight him to take his place. Everyone was more than happy for him to take the gavel. They all trusted him, believed in him, and knew it was because of his dad. Even to this day, five years later, there were things he allowed his men to do. Like, after a long run, take the edge off with a party. Free beer, free pussy, and no need to fear anyone coming and taking it away from them.
Glancing around the room, he didn’t like that feeling that once again swept over him. The thought of her. He didn’t even know who her was. Sure, he knew of her friend, Diana the Desperate. The guys had started to give her a nickname.
There was no sign of the woman who had invaded his library. Once she had left without a backward glance, he had no choice but to go and see what she did. He wondered if she was as desperate as her friend. The only women that came to the club were those that were desperate, either wanting a good time, an easy life, or a man to fill that void.
The women, so long as they were loyal, lived a good life if they stayed at the club. It was no old lady position, but it certainly worked. The rules were simple: the women had to pledge themselves to Devil’s Beasts MC cock. They were loyal to the dick, and would do anything for any of them. There were no rules, other than to make themselves available. They worked at the club, did the jobs the club needed them to do. They had multiple businesses across several towns, and all they had to do was comply. In return, they got a good income, taken care of, and yes, used by the men, but some of the women preferred the attention of many men, compared to one.
Now, an old lady, however, this was a different position, and not many of the women had what it took.
A club pussy took all the dick without getting any of the rewards of the next generation. An old lady, however, had to bear a child. They were married and didn’t party with other men. None of the other men could touch them. They were the property of their husband. Hawk didn’t give a fuck if it sounded archaic. Those were the rules, and within the club, those rules were abided by.
It was why a lot of the women didn’t really stick around after enjoying the men. Also, it was rare for any of the men to take a woman as his wife, especially if she had been passed around, used, and played with. It simply didn’t happen.
Which was why Diana was not going to make it as an old lady.
She was also a little too desperate. The men knew what she was trying to do. This also put her in the top risk category. They had no choice but to discard their condoms properly. She was so much of a risk, they even considered she might tamper with the condoms to make herself pregnant.
Condoms were a must. Old ladies got bareback. Club women got condoms. These were some of the rules his dad had taught him.
He was done thinking about his old man. He loved that son of a bitch, but it was never good to dwell in the past.
Stepping up to the bar, he slapped his hand down on the counter, and within seconds Dan had given him an open beer.
“Diana the Desperate is back,” he said.
Dan burst out laughing. “She is always back. The guys freaking love it and wonder just how far she will go.”
“It’s consensual?”
“Fuck, yeah.”
That was another stern rule. His father had told him they didn’t raise fucking rapists, nor did they protect them.
Before his father died, one of the club women, Sandy, was considered a favorite among the club. She was lovely. There was no other way to describe her. She wasn’t dirty, always kept herself clean and available. One of the nights she didn’t come down, and the next day, when she was seen cleaning up, she was covered in bruises. They were on her arms, across her body, and what was more, she was sporting a black eye and busted lip.
The men had been angry. His father had been livid. Since his mom died, he knew his dad liked to play with the club women. Anyway, after much conversation, he discovered one of the men hadn’t taken no for an answer. Sandy had been polite, and it had turned into a nightmare. She’d been raped all through the night, screaming and begging for help, but the rooms were mostly soundproof.
Greg, one of their newer additions, hadn’t believed any woman was allowed to say no to him, and he’d made her pay. Well, his father had made an example of him. First, it had started with the whole club taking a hit at him. They’d driven out to one of their abandoned warehouses, where they liked to store some of the product they moved and distributed.
Greg was barely conscious after the men took a hit at him. Then, his father had decided it was only fair to remove his appendage, his favorite one. He made sure to cut that thing into pieces. By the time his father was through with Greg, there was nothing left of him.
“What about her little friend?” he asked, pulling out of the memory. His father was known for his ruthlessness. He didn’t get to be president of the Devil’s Beasts MC by being a pushover.
“Little friend?” Dan asked.
Hawk turned toward Dan and waited. “You know, the brunette that comes with Diana?”
Dan looked truly baffled and this intrigued Hawk even more. He’d noticed the brunette several times. Of course, the other night was the first time she ventured away from the party. Hawk figured she had enjoyed the men she wanted.
“Sorry, man, I can’t recall her coming in with any friend, but then, I don’t watch everything that is going on, especially with Diana.” Dan shrugged.
This was not going the way he hoped.
Little Miss Brunette had been in his mind a little too often and he didn’t like that. He was not used to thinking about women, at least not like this. Women were more than happy to slip into his bed, show him a good time, and leave. He never favored any of the women and he liked to have his taste.
Staring across the room, he saw Diana had opened her shirt and was pressing her bra-clad breasts into Dillion’s face.
He held onto his beer, and turned to Dan. “Send Diana into my office in five minutes.”
Moving his way toward his office, he closed the door and went behind his desk, taking a seat. This was fucking crazy.
He couldn’t stop thinking about her, and now he was going to question Diana. A woman he’d steered well clear of. She was a woman after a patch, even though she was only club material. None of the men would have her. He didn’t know why she couldn’t see that. She was a good-time girl and always would be.
The door knocked and he called for her to come inside. There was a big smile on her face, and she looked excited. She must have thought this was her lucky day. Not only had one of the club asked for her, but it was none other than the president. He stared at her, and then shook his head as she started to open her shirt.
“Don’t,” he said. “I haven’t brought you here to fuck you. You can have all your fun with my men. I’m not interested.”
She frowned and instantly the smile fell from her lips. “What’s the matter? I thought every woman you asked for had to entertain you.”
“Your friend, who is she?” he asked.
Diana frowned. “My friend?”
“Do me a favor, don’t play fucking dumb. I’m not interested in any of the bullshit games you play. Tell me who your friend is and don’t leave anything out,” he said.
She gave a small laugh. “I have a lot of friends.”
He was fast losing his patience. “The one that drives you here and waits for you. Don’t test my patience, Diana. I can make sure you’re nothing to this club, and I’d be glad to do it.”
She looked terrified.
There was no way this woman had it to be old lady material. All the men knew it. She was even hitting bottom of the barrel at being a club woman. From what he knew, she wasn’t nice to some of the other women in the club. That was another rule: none of the guys could deal with female drama. They kept their bullshit to themselves, or left the club. There was no room for fighting or jealousy, unless the guys asked them to do so, with baby oil, or Jell-O, or whatever they were into. He personally didn’t see any attraction in women fighting.
Like his father, he kind of had an old view, that women were to be protected. Of course, there were exceptions to those rules. Those rules no longer applied to any bitch who thought she could betray the club. She would be killed. He had no tolerance for pieces of shit that would step out on the club.
“You’re talking about Nikki. Her name is Nikki Brown, she works at the local supermarket, just on the outskirts of town.”
“Who else has enjoyed her?” he asked.
“Who else within the club?” Diana asked.
He stared at her.
“No one. Uh, Nikki is kind of nervous.” She let out a little laugh. “She isn’t comfortable in new places, and that tends to make her a little … jittery. She is a good girl, though. She won’t say anything about what she sees or doesn’t see.” Diana began to ramble.
He pushed a piece of paper and a pen across the table. “Write down her address.”
“She doesn’t have an actual house. She lives in a trailer park.” Diana wrote down the details. She stepped back.
“Leave.”
“Are you sure? I can give you a good time, I promise.”
“Don’t make me tell you twice.”
He wasn’t interested in any kind of company. Diana had given him what he wanted.
