Chapter 347
Lea’s smile grew even wider.
Last night, at the union base, when Brian brought Luke and Vincent to deliver the body to the Tannerfamily, Lea and Ryan, along with Spitfire, researched the Tanner family to give them at strong lessonand deterrent. They managed to dig up Calvin from the Tanner family’s background.
Calvin had been at Dark Red, an upscale and decadent venue, the previous night.
They hacked into his private room and happened to capture him killing a young model. Theyreleased the video online.
Spitfire did a thorough check on Calvin. He was a regular at the bar and had his own private room.Over the years, there had been several incidents involving young girls at the bar, many of whichwere linked to him.
However, Lea only had them release this single video to serve as a deterrent.
For the Tanner family, losing a Calvin might have some impact and cause them some discomfort. But it wouldn’t be enough to destroy the Tanner family entirely.
They could hold onto other evidence and use it strategically in the future.
The real pillars of the Tanner family were Phillip and Leika.
The students at Conrad University, who were online enthusiasts, had already seen the newstrending early this morning.
Initially, they hadn’t connected it with Abigail. But now that Lea had publicly pointed it out, they wereall focused on her. Their righteous indignation flared up, and they began to see Abigail with
anger.
“Abigail!” Leona and the others were initially startled but quickly reacted and rushed to help her.
Beatrice and her group were horrified and hurried to assist as well.
Abigail was stiff and almost had to be carried. Her white down jacket was stained with gray, her facewas bruised, and her nose was bleeding slightly. The pain was so intense that she was on theverge
of tears.
Seeing her in this state, the crowd murmured in surprise. ‘So, even the campus goddess can look sodisheveled and unsettling when she gets hurt in public. It seems no one is immune to a fall fromgrace.‘
Lea, meanwhile, stepped forward, enjoying the sight with satisfaction.
Lea had been preoccupied with various matters and hadn’t had the chance to make things difficultfor Abigail. It was quite a pity, but now that she had the opportunity to get some revenge on Abigail,it felt gratifying, and her mood improved.

Chapter 347
Leona, supporting Abigail, glared at Lea’s pleased expression and said sternly, “Lea, are youdeliberately targeting Abigail? Can you really trust what’s online? The police haven’t eveninvestigated yet.”
Shannon stepped forward. “Oh, so you can’t trust the news online? What about the stories aboutLea and Riverview Hospital? Even if those were false, none of you questioned them. Besides, Mr.Brown personally made the arrest. Would he have done that without proper investigation?”
Everyone present wasn’t naive. They understood this point well enough.
Leona glared at her. “What I mean is, with Calvin’s status, he can have any woman he wants. Itmust be those women’s own fault.”
Recently, Leona had been pressured by her family to go on blind dates. Compared to Calvin, thosesuitors were nothing but bugs in a rotten ditch. In her view, the women involved didn’t deserve to benear him.
The Conrad University students, who were proud and self–assured, darkened their expressionsupon hearing Leona’s comments.
If Willow were here, she would have fiercely rebuked Leona.
Willow had just taken a day off from work following Joey’s funeral.
Lea’s anger flared, her expression growing severe as she radiated an imposing presence. “So beingfrom a poor background makes one inferior? Isn’t every life valuable? Who would willingly suffer anddie young? Just because someone is well–born and powerful, they get to toy with and torturewomen, disregarding human life? According to your logic, those women should be grateful andthankful to him? Leona, if you dare say another word, I’ll slap you so hard you won’t know what hityou.”
The crowd looked at her coldly, not necessarily in agreement with Lea, but sharing a similar
sentiment.
Leona was momentarily at a loss for words.
Seeing the hatred in the eyes of those around her, she didn’t dare argue further.
“But what does this have to do with Abigail?” she continued to defend Abigail firmly. “Calvin is part ofthe Tanner family, not the Erickson family. Abigail is just a young student. What does the adult worldhave to do with us?”
Lea and Shannon exchanged serious looks. Recently, Leona had been acting as Abigail’s sidekick, damaging her own reputation in front of everyone.
They were only freshmen, and if they became despised by their peers, Leona’s time at school wouldbe far from pleasant.
Meanwhile, Rita, who was supporting Abigail, said, “Lea, do you think you’re the police? Can youdecide someone’s guilt? If he’s guilty, what does that have to do with Abigail? It’s ridiculous.”

Chapter 347
Abigail stood up straight, feeling it wasn’t her concern but still kept her head down, wiping her tearswith a look of innocent grievance.
As expected, many of the boys felt pity for her upon seeing her like this.
However, others‘ expressions grew darker, their eyes filled with resentment.
In today’s legal system, one person’s crime didn’t necessarily implicate their family. But the didn’tbelieve that this incident was not entirely disconnected from the family.
Families like the Tanner family, producing scoundrels like Calvin, could certainly cast a shadow overthe Erickson family’s reputation. Maybe there was a real connection between them after all.
“Exactly,” Lea said, her smile returning with an added layer of meaning. “A family like the Tannersproduces such individuals. What does that say about the Erickson family? But Abigail, your father issupposedly a leading figure in Iverton, isn’t he? How do you think he’ll handle his nephew’s actions? Will he let down the whole country? What do you think?”
Abigail’s face immediately turned pale. Her eyes widened in shock as she looked up to seeeveryone around her with the same questioning and expectant look.
This matter had nothing to do with the Erickson family or her personally. She had heard about thenews from her driver on the way to school that morning but hadn’t paid it any attention.
Whether it was the Tanner family or any other family involved, such incidents would eventually besuppressed and forgotten, with those responsible being exonerated.
In a short while, Calvin would be released, and the whole affair would fade from memory.
But with Lea’s insinuations, the issue was now tangled up with her and the Erickson family.
The Tanner family would never let Calvin face real charges or go to prison.
‘Now everyone’s focused on this issue. If Calvin is indeed released without charges, people willthink my father is corrupt and biased. Lea, you’re despicable. With just a few words, you’ve
managed to taint the Erickson family’s reputation. You’re the worst. You should just disappear,’ shethought angrily.
Abigail’s resentment was palpable, evident in her eyes and expression. She wished she could makeLea disappear.
But all she could do was glare at Lea, unable to act on her feelings.
Lea, enjoying Abigail’s frustrated and powerless gaze, savored the moment.
Then she turned and walked into the classroom.
The spectacle ended, but the students at Conrad University, preoccupied with their studies, beganto focus on Calvin’s case, as well as Abigail and her father.
