Chapter 6

**Kataleya's POV**

I felt hands touching my forehead and I jolted awake, swinging my hands out and flipping theperson over me, me hovering over the top of them, one hand on her throat.

I blinked a few times to clear the sleep from my eyes and realized that it was just Dr. Leigh. Iclambered off of her as quickly as I could and apologized profusely.

“I am sorry, Dr. Leigh. I did not realize that you were there. You scared me awake. I thought youwere an attacker...and well, I attacked.”

She chuckled as she climbed off my bed. “It is no big deal, Kataleya. I should not have scared you. Ishould have made my presence known. Alpha Justin asked me to come and check on you. He wasworried that you were coming down with a cold. I told him that I would pop in after I had fixedOliver. He had gotten pretty banged up during training today. Poor boy spared with Justin and wasknocked on his ass. He told me that he thought it was a good idea to taunt your mate, so your matetaught him a lesson.”

I laughed, shrugging my shoulders and shaking my head. “You know, you would think that Oliverwould have learned his lesson by now. Justin was the best warrior in the pack before we had mated.Once we mated, he had some of my genes and genetics flowing through his blood, which just madehim ten times stronger. I guess it will take Justin to break a major bone in his body before herealizes that he cannot get the one-up on my mate. Oliver used to be like this with me until Iknocked him out when he called me a bitch.”

Dr. Leigh laughed. “Yeah, you know how boys are. Always trying to prove something. In this case,trying to prove who is the strongest. So, Justin said you are not feeling well and haven't been for thepast couple of days. Tell me what has been going on with you?”

I sighed. I should have known Justin would have called the doctor when I started to throw up. “Thepast couple of days I have been really sluggish and nauseous. Then, this morning when I woke up, Iguess I had rolled out of bed too quickly and the moment that I touched the ground I was feelingnauseous and dizzy. I thought I was going to throw up, but I didn't. Then, I was fine. I went to thebathroom and showered. I went to my office and worked on paperwork and video called Michael.One of the Omegas brought Justin and I some breakfast and as soon as she opened the door, thesmell of the food wafted to me and I ran to the bathroom. I am sure that I may have scared the poorOmega into thinking something was wrong. I hope Justin reassured her that everything was okay..."Dr. Leigh looked thoughtful. “Alpha, when was your last heat?”

I had to think back for a moment. Hmmm...when was my last heat?

“Ummm...it was about a month ago. Justin and I had to take off and left Oliver in charge for threedays.”

"And when was the last time you had intercourse?”

"Which time? You mean where we both finished? Or the last time we tried something? Those arevery distinctive differences.”

She laughed, “The last time you both finished. I cannot believe that I have to make this distinctionfor you.”

I shrugged my shoulders. “Sorry, but some of the warriors apparently needed our help the last timewe were deep in the throes...Justin even threatened them at last. He told them, 'l am chopping thedicks off the next person that interrupts me.’ He was very mad. I can't say that I blame him. I waspretty pissed too. The last time both of us finished was two weeks ago. We tried to have sex twotimes in the past week, but we were interrupted both times and Justin threatened those warriors thesecond time. Justin told me he had a severe case of blue balls from the interruptions,” I finished witha laugh.

"Don't freak out. I am going to run a few tests.” She pulled a cup out of her bag that she had withher. “I need you to go to the bathroom and pee in this cup.” She handed me a moist towelette.“Before you pee, I need you to wipe the front and back with this. The beginning of the stream youwill not catch. So, wait a few seconds after you start to pee before you start catching the stream inthe cup.”

I gulped, knowing what she intended to test for, and made my way to the bathroom. I followed herdirections, just as she had asked me to, and then I washed my hands and left the bathroom. Ihanded her back the cup. I watched as she pulled a pregnancy test out of her bag and used my peeon the pregnancy test.

I started picking at my nails, the nerves starting to set in. I guess it would make sense with the waythat I have been feeling lately. If I was pregnant though, I wondered why my wolf had not saidanything to me yet. Usually, Skye is pretty quick about making note of any changes within my body.“Nope, haven't noticed anything funny! Everything has been fine. I think you have a wee cold, Kat."Skye chirped happily in my head

I swear she is always in a good mood when I am not feeling well.

We waited for five minutes for the results to pop up on the test.

"Congratulations, Alpha. You are pregnant.”

She held up the test and showed it to me and I just sat there, stunned. I am pregnant. I am reallypregnant. I placed my hand on my stomach, resting it there. I cannot believe it. I could feel my heartracing as I considered all the possibilities and what it would mean for me to be pregnant.

I guess on the bright side, we know that I am not getting a cold. Colds are rare for any wolf to getbecause of how quickly we heal. I laid my head back against the pillow thinking about how I wasgoing to tell Justin.

Suddenly, I was very tired.

"You need to rest. I am assuming that you do not want me to tell Alpha Justin. Don't worry. Yoursecret is safe with me, I promise.” With those final words, she left me alone, allowing me to drown inmy thoughts.
