His Beloved Mate -
Chapter 58 Mrs. Peal Will Be Happy
Cassie was about to escape, but the floor in the bathroom was a little slippery. She almost fell to the ground by accident. The coldness of the floor and the pain did not come as expected.
A pair of warm hands wrapped around her waist, and she subconsciously wrapped her arms around Dylan's neck. She fell into his gentle eyes.
Outside the door, Belle was holding the sober-up soup she made. She politely knocked on the door and said, "Mr. Dylan, I've made sober-up soup."
From time to time, the girl's slight gasps and sobs came from the bathroom. Dylan cleared his throat and said in a slightly hoarse voice, "Got it. Put it outside."
Belle seemed to understand something and smiled, "Okay, I got it."
When she walked out of the door, Cheryl was about to come in, but Belle stopped her and said, "Don't go inside."
"What's wrong?" Cheryl asked curiously.
Belle smiled and said, "Mrs. Pearl will be happy."
Cheryl was stunned for a while, but soon she blushed.
When the new year's Eve was approaching, Cassie was hanging lantern on ladder, a familiar voice came from behind, "What are you doing? Where is Cheryl? You will cry again if you fall down."
She turned around her head and found that Dylan was looking at her. As Cassie was busy with her work, she said, "It's good that you're back. Help me hold the ladder."
Dylan did as she required. Only then did he notice that the house was filled with red decorations, including balloons, Chinese knots and peppers. The window was also decorated with red window patterns. "Did you do all these?" Dylan asked.
Cassie nodded and said, "Yes, I decorated them. Are they pretty? Do you want to praise me?"
Satisfied, Dylan said, "Not bad."
After dinner was ready, Belle smiled and said, "Mr. Dylan, Mrs. Cassie. Dinner is ready."
Cassie nodded and slowly walked down from the ladder. She clapped her hands and said with satisfaction, "Well, this is what new year should look like."
There were all kinds of delicious food on the table. Holding Belle's hand, Cassie said, "Belle, you and Carter come and have dinner with us. It's new year's Eve today. Thank you for your hard work!" Belle and Carter looked at Dylan awkwardly, and Dylan nodded. "It is new year's Eve today. Let's sit down and have dinner together.
Belle and Carter then sat down. She smiled sweetly, raised her glass and said, "Thank you, everyone!"
Belle smiled and said, "It's all right."
Looking at the red wine glass in her hand, Dylan frowned and said, "Don't drink wine. Drink juice."
Of course, Cassie refused. She knew how to make the capitalist compromise, so she repeated the same trick.
She pouted and blinked her eyes towards Dylan, acting like a spoiled child, "Ah, today is the new year. Just promise me, I will drink only one glass of wine..."
Feeling a headache, Dylan looked at her and said, "... Half a glass. "
Seeing that Dylan had made a concession, Cassie said, "One glass!"
Without looking at her, Dylan said, "No more bargaining. Or you won't even allow to have half a glass."
She didn't know what she looked like when she was drunk.
Cassie pouted dejectedly, "Fine."
Belle and Carter looked at each other and smiled. After dinner, it snowed again outside the window. Cassie was a little excited. "It snowed several times this year."
With a bag of snacks in her hands, she sat on the sofa and played with her phone. Messages kept popping up in the WeChat group chat.
Then she received a red envelope and a new message from Flora.
Flora: Happy New Year!
Cassie accepted the red envelope and was amazed, 1000 dollars?!
She sighed in her heart and quickly typed out a line of words.
Cassie: Flora, did you make a fortune?! Why did you give me such a big red envelope?
Then Flora started a video chat with her.
Cassie answered the video chat. Sitting in the room in a red sweater, Flora smiled and said, "Hey, why don't I see Mr. Dylan?"
She took a bite of the crisps. "I don't know. He disappeared after the new year's Eve dinner. I don't know what he is doing. As for you, you asked about Dylan the moment you saw me. You don't miss me at all. I'm angry!
Flora smile, "I'm just curious. By the way, did you get the autographed photo of Owen after last time I asked you?"
Cassie nodded and said, "Yes. Remember to ask me for it when we meet another day."
Raising her eyebrows, Flora looked at her with a sly smile on her face. "How about you? Do you have any plan with Mr. Dylan during the New Year holiday?"
Cassie said helplessly, "What plan can I have? He is very busy every day. He does nothing except for work."
"Mrs. Cassie, Mr. Dylan asked me to take you to a place." Carter walked up to her and said.
"Talk of the devil and he will appear." said Flora with a smile
Did Dylan let her lose face purposely?
Cassie asked, "What does he want from me?"
Carter smiled mysteriously. "I can't tell you. Mrs. Cassie, you'd better go to see it yourself."
With expectation in her heart, Cassie couldn't help smiling. She looked at Flora on the other side of the camera and muttered in a low voice, "He just know to play some mysterious things." Speechless, Flora said, "Oh, no, I can smell the love from the screen. Hurry up!"
With a smile, Cassie said, "I'll hang up."
"Okay, okay!"
Out of curiosity, she followed Carter to the back garden. Outside the window, there were snowflakes. It was winter now, so Cassie seldom came out at night. The dim streetlights illuminated the whole way. Dylan was standing beside the viewing platform. The cold air penetrated into her body.
It was dark around, and the expectation in the bottom of Cassie was suddenly disappointed. She was wearing a red sweater and a white shirt. Her collar was turned over outside, and her arms were trembling. "What are you looking at here, capitalist? It's dark."
Seeing her going out in such a few clothes, Dylan scolded, "You just ignored what I said, didn't you? Why did you go out in such a few clothes?"
Cassie playfully spit of her tongue, "So, what are you doing outside?"
Dylan made a phone call, "Are you ready? ...... Okay. "
Suddenly, in the quiet night sky, "bang", many dots lift off to the sky, instantly exploding into countless colorful fireworks. The whole night sky of the West Mountain Linyu was as bright as day.
Her heart was filled with joy, and the corners of her mouth were rising higher and higher. "So beautiful!"
Colorful fireworks shone on her face, and her eyes flashed a different light. Seeing the girl's smile, Dylan seemed to be in a better mood.
The snowflakes fell on her hair and Dylan put his hand over her head. The familiar smell enveloped her. When she turned around, she found that Dylan was helping her pluck the snowflakes from her hair.
His action looked very gentle at this moment. The lights on both sides of the viewing platform lit up somehow. The dim light shone on Dylan's face, left with a tall black shadow on the ground. She blushed for a while, and her eyes fell on his face, unwilling to move away.
Dylan took his hands back and returned to his serious expression, "How long do you want to see?"
It was not until then that Cassie came to her senses. She cleared her throat and looked at the fireworks in front of her, "When did you prepare these?"
