HAZEL P.O.V

“You’re here, how did you do it? Hope you’re fine?” Liza asked checking me out and I chuckled. “I am perfectly fine, Old Nana help me out,” I replied, I am really indebted to Old Nana became I don’t really know what would have happened to me if she didn’t come to my rescue, maybe I would have been crying my lung out silently, I dare not shout in his room.

“How did she help you out? Where’s she? Tell me everything without leaving anything behind, I wasn’t myself since you left, I have been thinking of the pain you would be feeling, thank goodness you’re fine, so tell me about it” Liza said.

“I will tell you when we come back, Old Nana will soon be here,” I said and she pouted her lips. “You are saying this because you don’t wanna tell me,” she said, what’s going on in her head right now? Who told her I won’t tell her? I don’t just wanna talk about it right now, I don’t know if his Majesty will later change his mind.

“What’s going on in that empty head of yours?” I asked with a frown. “There’s nothing going on in my head” she replied with a glare. “Are you guys ready to go?” Old Nana asked. “Yes Grandma” we chorused, we knew she’s gonna complain though, she doesn’t like it when we call her grandma. “I am not you guys grandma” she replied and I rushed to hug her. “Thanks, Nana, you saved my life today, you’re God sent” I said and Old Nana scoffed, she disengage from the hug and glared at me. “I didn’t save you, I only did it because I want you to go to the market with me, his Majesty asks you to come to his room when you come back,” she said, and my heartbeat increased.

“Why did he want me in his room again?” I asked with a frown. “You should ask him when you come back not me,” Old Nana said with a smile, that smile makes me know that she’s lying, old Nana can never be saying something important as this with a smile, I trust her. “Old Nana you’re lying,” Liza said, I was about to say that but she bèat me to it. “How can you say I am lying, I am saying the truth, Hazel if you like don’t go to his room once you come back, you know what his Majesty can do,” she said.

“I won’t go, if his Majesty ask me why I didn’t come I will tell him that you didn’t tell me,” I said with a smirk. “That’s a lie, how can you do something like that? Did you wanna put me into his Majesty trouble?” She asked. “We all know his Majesty can’t do you anything to you, so cut the crab old Nana, Hazel don’t worry I will follow you to his Majesty’s room and tell him old Nana didn’t tell you about it,” Liza said smiling sheepishly.

“And did you think his Majesty won’t detect that you’re lying?” Old Nana said. “Huh that’s right, as we detected you’re lying right?” I asked. “Let go, we don’t wanna come back late,” Old Nana said. “We understand what you did there, anyway let’s go,” Old Nana said and we all rushed out.

We have been walking around the market since morning and I am very tired, the only interesting thing here is that we leave the palace for the first time in seven years I guess, I have even lost count of the years. The maids are the ones coming to the market, we see different faces, we aren’t even different from prisoners in that palace, how I wish I am free like other wolves.

“What are you thinking about?” Liza asked with a frown. “Thinking about my life” I replied with a frown. “I don’t have anything to think about, the only thing I am thinking about right now is the people I am seeing, I feel happy and fulfilled seeing people’s faces apart from the people in the palace, I wish I can run away to see them and also meet my mate,” She said and Old Nana smacks her head.

“Ouch! Old Nana, didn’t you want to see my mate? Did you want me to dîè a virgin?” Liza asked with a pout. “I didn’t ask you not to replace your mate, but you will meet your mate even without running away,” Old Nana said. “You mean I will meet my mate by staying in one place, why haven’t I met my mate, I am fûcking 22 years and I haven’t met my mate likewise Hazel” Liza replied. “Just believe you will meet your mate one day” Old Nana said. “I am tired of believing” Old Nana replied. “Old Nana I have a question”
