“SURPRISE!!.” my family said while I stood there shocked looking at the handsome devil that stood before me with a corky smirk. He was wearing black jeans with a white v neck t-shirt that hugged his muscles perfectly which were big by the way. ZANE.

“Miss me kitten?” he said snapping me out of my shock. I looked at Mom who was standing next to me with a huge smile on her face.

“Is this real?” I asked her and she nodded her head. I looked back at Zane.

” Four years.” I took a step closer to him,

” nine months.” I took another step,

” 3days.!” I was now standing in front of him

“and you are coming back now?” I asked in disbelief poking his chest after every word.

“Sorry!” he mumbles. But I shook my head. Looking at Mom.

“Four years, nine months, and three days.?” I repeated the same words. Looking at her.

“ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME..” I yelled looking at Zane.

I turned around then looked at mom, “You shouldn’t have let him come back he should have stayed in Italy..” I said then turned around to face him.

“Go back to where you came from. I don’t need you..” I added running up the stairs.

“Angel wait!” Mom called but I turned a deaf ear. I opened my room door closing it with a bang! messing some of the decorations that were hanging on the roof.

“Aaaah!!” I screamed trying to release some of the anger I was feeling this is just some freakish dream I will wake up any second now.

I grabbed my phone and headset removed my saddles then lay on the bed listening to music I am sure by the time I will be waking up I will realize that it was just some dream.

Before long I found myself falling asleep.

I opened the front door as the most beautiful scent hit me.

Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. My eyes quickly found her as she looked at me in disbelief while I smirked taking in her body, she looked so hot and nice in that blue dress and I so badly wanted her.

Though I could see she was hurt and didn’t want me near her because I didn’t contact her for almost five years. But I was willing to gravel at her feet and beg her to forgive me.

She was yelling but I couldn’t quite hear because my eyes were trained on her pink lips that I haven’t kissed for so long gosh.

I watched as she ran up the stairs swaying her h**s seductively dang did she look hot and curvy she had grown a lot and a little bit taller too.

“Mate..” Juan purred in my head as we both watched her disappear up the stairs. I knew this was going to happen that is why I came prepared. I did wrong by not calling or texting her but I was just afraid that if I did and heard her sweet melodious voice I would get on the first flight back home.

“Guess she didn’t like the surprise..” Lucas said.

“Yeah..” Breana agreed.

“Hi, mom..” I said to Mom hugging her

“I missed you so much..” she said hugging me back.

“Hi, Dad..” I said hugging Dad too. After I hugged almost everyone else I stopped dead in my tracks seeing the lady who was carrying a baby. She looked just like Skylar I glared while she hid behind Aaron.

“It’s not Skylar..” Aaron said, “She is my real mate Brook.. “

“Does scarlet know?” I asked.

“Yeah, we’ve been living together for two years now..” He said and I sighed in relief.

“Congrats man..” I smiled at him giving him a bro hug. ” hi welcome to the family Brooks nice to meet you..” I smiled at her as she smiled in return no longer hiding behind Aaron.

“How old is he?” I asked looking at the kid who looked just like a mining version of Aaron.

“1year eleven months and another on the way.” Aaron smile pulling Brook into a hug as I smiled at them seeing my cousin in love.

We all sat down chatting and them telling me everything about what has been happening since I left and all about my sweet cupcake.

“I tell you what?” Lucas began, “I bet Angel will definitely forgive Zane in less than a week. I know her she can’t resist him..” everyone laughed. While I wonder why he used a pet name for my mate only I should give her pet names.

” Nop!” Breana interjected, “I know Angel she hasn’t talked about him in a year now. She even threw away everything that has to do with him, she won’t give him a chance and if I were in her shoes and my mate decides to come back four years later he would replace me already hooked up with someone else..” I guess everyone calls her Angel now.

“Did she hook up with someone else?” I asked this is bad what if she did?

“Nope!” Breana and Lucas said at the same time.

“Why do you think I said she would forgive you by the end of the week?” he asked making me sigh in relief.

“Fifty bucks.?” Brea said stretching her hand.

” Fifty bucks..” Lucas shook it while I just let out a chuckle.

“Well, I also bet that Angel will have Zane wrapped around her finger..” Brook said this is when I have heard her voice.

“Yeah!” Brea agreed.

“Nope, she won’t get a chance..” Aaron said while Lucas agreed

“Wanna bet?” Brook said stretching her hand, “If I win you owe me a full day of us watching chick flick movies and eating ice cream together..”

“Chick-flick?” Aaron g*****d “fine but if I win–” He said then smirked wiggling his brows and Brook blushed to make everyone laugh.

I looked over to the stairs wondering if she would come down any second.

“How about you go get some rest yeah?” mom said.

“Yeah, you are right to see ya later family..” I said going up the stairs

“Scarlet?” I knocked on her door but silence

“cupcake..” I said still silent. I contemplated on whether to go in or not but then I just decided to go in.

“Baby?” I said opening the door softly I saw her curled up on the bed her back facing the door.

“Cupcake I am sorry..” I said going over to her but in silence, she moved to face me and that’s when I realized that she was sleeping with headsets in her ears. Her beautiful pink lips were slightly parted I so wanted to k**s her real bad.

I bent down and was about to k**s her when I stopped myself making Juan whine. He kept on begging me to just mate her. Well I so badly wanted to do it after being sexually starved for 24 years of my life I just can’t wait anymore dang thinking about it was already making my life hard.

I removed the headsets from her ears switched off the music then kissed her forehead walking out of the room.

I need a cold shower. I went to my room which smelled just like her, her intoxicating scent was everywhere engulfing me like a blanket making my life even harder than it was.

I inhaled deeply then went over to my bathroom stripped down and took a cold shower.

After I was done I wore comfortable clothes then sat on my bed passing some time and planning how I will make it up to her.

“Zane..” I heard mom knock on the door I got up and opened it

“Lunch is ready..” she said I nodded my head following her downstairs. Everyone was already gathered but Scarlet was nowhere in sight I sighed sitting next to Dad.

I was about to start eating when—

“Mom Dad I’m going out I won’t be back till midnight… ” I heard my cupcake’s beautiful voice my mouth hung open seeing the outfit she was wearing. She was wearing a short glittery silver dress that hugged her body like a second skin. She had on really long heels and was wearing heavy makeup totally not the Scarlet I fell in love with!

“Stop!” I growled going over to her while she glared.

“What!” she spat.

“What the hell are you wearing?” I asked eyeing her up and down her outfit was a major turn on but I didn’t want anyone else seeing her! I was possessive like that.

‘What’s wrong with my outfit?” she asked in a bored tone.

“You are not going anywhere dressed like that..” I said

“Why? What gives you the right to control me? Firstly you are not my mother, you are not my Dad, you ain’t even my mate! you are just some stranger who came to destroy peace in this house.!!” Okay, that hurt a little.
