“Hey does everyone know you sleep around..” I asked trying to change the subject

“No one knows and I plan it staying that way and don’t even think about changing the subject..”

“Mrs. Black you are here..” Mr. Nuñez came out of nowhere.

“He is the one you came to meet?” Luka growled making him flinch

“relax Luka it’s not like I am cheating on your brother or anything you know me better than that..”

“Right this way ma’am..” Mr. Nuñez said leading me to the room Both me and Luka entered the hotel room.

After some more discussions and him giving me information that she was in London, I was finally relaxed. Since Zoey already knows about the war she will come on her own no need to pursue her.

“Thank you so much, Mr. Nuñez..” I said shaking his hand.

“It was my pleasure working with you Mrs. Black..” We shook hands and he lead us to the door when I suddenly felt dizzy and light-headed.

“Hey, are you okay?” Luka asked holding on to me.

“Yeah I am fine I just felt dizzy that’s all..” He opened the door and we both walked out with him still holding me when a loud thunderous growl stopped us dead in our tracks.

Zane was standing there looking furious I quickly removed Luka’s hand from my waist.

“Zane it’s not what it looks like—” I tried to say but he just shook his head now

Giving me a look of betrayal.

He turned around walking away real quick

“Zane wait..” I said running after him ignoring the dizziness

“What!” he asked once we were both outside the hotel Luka following behind. I was breathing heavily I never got tired this easily don’t know what is wrong with me.

“It’s not what it looks like…” I said whilst trying to catch my breath. He forcefully grabbed my hand shoving me into his car then went to the other side got in and drove off home.

“Please list–“

“Don’t!” he growled, “I have had enough first you lied and now this..”

“But I–“

“Enough just don’t..” he silenced me.

As soon as we reached home, He opened my car door holding my wrist really tight dragging me inside the house.

“Zane you are hurting me..” I winced in pain.

“Zane what’s going on you are hurting her..” Dad said he forcefully let go of me and I was about to fall on the floor when Dad caught me.

“Are you okay?.” he asked.

“Yeah..” I nodded my head.

“What’s going on Zane what happened.?” before Zane could respond the front door opened and Luka came in

“You,” Zane growled he was about to punch him but I quickly got between them.

“Zane stop please..” I said

“So now you are defending him?” he scoffed

“WILL YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT’S GOING ON?” Mom ended up yelling.

“Yes, Mom I want to know too please ask your son and your favorite little Angel what they were doing in a hotel room..”

Mom and Dad Gasped!

“Angel is this true? Where you and Lucas in a hotel room?”

“Yes, Mom but–“

“See she accepts I can’t believe you cheated on me with my own freaking brother how long have you been doing it huh TELL ME DANG IT!! ” He yelled making me flinch.

“Zane Luka and I have–“

He growled going up the stairs

“Zane listen to me..” I said wanting to go after him but Luka stopped me.

“Let him be for a while he will come around..” he said and I sighed.

“Angel, what’s going on between you and Lucas?” Dad asked, ” And why were you both in a hotel room.?”

“Dad I have nothing to do with Luka. I consider him as my brother and I have no intention of cheating on Zane with him or any other man. I was just doing some investigations and the person I hired to work for me texted me telling me that he had found some information. I went there to meet him and that’s when I bumped into Luka who offered to stay with me. I promise I have nothing to do with him except being siblings of course..” I wanted to say more but the dizziness returned.

“Are you okay?” Dad asked

“Yeah I am fine just feeling dizzy that’s all I think I will go lay down good night..”

“Wait have your dinner first..” Mom said.

“No Mom I don’t feel like eating..” I said holding my head.

“Angel you are not okay. Should we call the doctor? ” Dad said.

“No, it’s probably just stress Dad I am fine good night..” I said dragging myself to my and Zane’s room.

“Zane..” I said as he was pacing around the room angrily. He didn’t even spare me a glance instead he went and sat on the balcony I sighed removed my clothes and laying in bed with only my underwear.

The headache and dizziness were intense until I fell asleep.

I woke up feeling nauseous. I quickly got up going over to the bathroom puking all of the food I never ate. After I was done an intense wave of hunger hit me like I haven’t eaten in a week. I g*****d feeling all the strength run out.

I splashed some water on my face then went back to the bedroom only to replace the bed empty Zane was nowhere in sight. I sighed he is still angry. I checked the time and it was 1 a.m

I dragged myself downstairs straight to the fridge checking to see if there was anything that I could eat. I found some leftover dinner from last night ate it but still feeling hungry

I salvaged the food pantry until I found a box of corn flakes “this will do..” I said warming up the milk and making a bow for myself and eating the whole thing but still hungry. I have no idea why all of a sudden.

I ended up grabbing a bow of banana ice cream and after eating halfway—

“Angel?” I heard Mom’s voice

“Hmm..” I responded Looking at her. She had a worried look on her face.

“Why are you eating ice cream at 1 a.m?”

“Because I am hungry..” She looked around seeing the box of cornflakes, the empty plates that had the leftover food from last night’s dinner. She came closer to me placing her ear on my belly while I wondered why. A smile broke from her lips.

“You are pregnant.”

“Mom I’m not pregnant..”

“No Angel you are! I can hear a heartbeat.”

“Please Mom just let this baby thing go okay! I’m not pregnant now if you excuse me I would like to finish this thank you..” I said stuffing myself with more ice cream making her sigh. After I was done I went back to bed.

Morning came and I woke up feeling like I just got hit by a truck. I was feeling dizzy and the nausea was getting worse.

I quickly went to the bathroom and after emptying all the food I ate, I looked in the mirror only to see myself all pale and terrible with my hair all over the place

I took a shower wore comfortable clothes then went downstairs for breakfast.

I opened the fridge only to see the delicious bow of banana ice cream looking at me begging me to eat it.

I smiled grabbing the bow and spoon sitting on the island then eating the ice cream.

“Damn this is so good..” I muttered to myself as the creamy banana goodness melted on my tongue.

“Good morning Angel..” I heard Mom’s voice. I looked up to see her grinning at me.

“You want me to get you some more food? How are you feeling? I hope the baby isn’t giving you trouble..” she said.

“Mom no baby yet remember..” I said to her. I looked around to see Dad was also smiling standing next to me and so was Luka but Zane was in his own bubble.

“Zane.?” I got up leaving my bow of ice cream. He ignored me getting up

“stop!” I said to hold his hand.

“Don’t touch me..” He said through gritted teeth

“Why are you doing this to me?” I said my tears threatening to spill don’t know why I have become a cry baby.

“I’m not doing anything to you miss Scarlet Reyes this is all your doing..”

“I didn’t–“

“Stop you already confessed about being with my brother yesterday so no need to say more. just leave me alone okay..” He was about to walk away but I held him.

“Zane please listen I have nothing to do with Luka I only love you..”

“That’s a lie Scarlet we both know it. I saw you! his arm around your waist coming out of that hotel room. First, you lied to me about going to get something but it turns out you were going to see my brother..”

“No!” I shook my head, “I admit I lied but I have nothing to do with Luka I promise..”

“Sorry but I don’t trust you..”
