As Fabian's sister was gentle and virtuous, Cameron wondered how Fabian turned out this way.

Cameron sighed and said, "I know you're having a hard time here, but you wouldn't have ended up like this if you hadn't been so greedy and tried to steal the project."

"I got it through legal means!" Fabian shouted, "You fucking gave it to me, remember? I thought you were trying to help me, but you ting me up instead! You fucking asshole!"

He tried to choke Cameron but couldn't reach him through the bars. Even so, Fabian tried. It showed how much he hated Cameron.

"I didn't set you up. Let me repeat it. It's Rhea who did this to you," Cameron said emphatically, "She used her drug to influence me so that I would give you the project. Why else would you have gotten it?

"You claim you got the contract legally, but La Beauté Group had already won the bid. The company is a much better candidate regarding cash flow and qualification. Why would I redo the bidding and give you the project?

"Did you genuinely get it lawfully? You should know the answer, shouldn't you?" His questions stumped Fabian.

Cameron continued, "Did you care about the law when you tried to use me to gain an upper hand over your competitors? Now that you're behind bars, you try to claim innocence. That's just how the law works."

Fabian was at a loss for words. He knew he was wrong but couldn't accept the abrupt change of his fate.

Just a few days ago, everyone tried to curry his favor. He had been doing well and even daydreamed about his bright future, yet this happened.

Life at the detention center was a nightmare, and he could hardly sleep at night.

Fabian's madness gradually faded when he thought about the days he had spent here. He slowly withdrew his hands and clutched his hair before ramming his head against the bars. "I'm sorry, Ron! I'm begging you. Please save me! I can't stay here any longer!

"This is a horrible place! For my sister's sake, please get me out of here. That's all I'll ever ask of you!" He kept banging his head against the bar as if to crash through them. He also pulled at his hair as he sobbed.

Cameron felt terrible for him, saying, "Calm down, Fabian! The case is still under investigation. I know you were unaware of what happened, but Rhea played a major part in this."

"Rhea..." Fabian widened his eyes. "I have no idea what she did. You know Rhea had studied abroad and only returned not long ago. Rhea isn't even close to me and Maria. I'm sure Rhea must've gotten led astray when she was overseas. You know she's not a bad-"

"She tried to poison Anastasia when she was just fourteen!" Cameron interrupted.

He knew Fabian knew nothing about it back then, but Rhea wasn't led astray by others. Her actions were a reflection of her true nature.

'What person would poison their cousin or uncle? Rhea's no ordinary girl.'

"But I'm innocent!" Fabian murmured.

"Now tell me, where does Rhea usually hang out? Or where would she feel safe?"
