"I know how you feel, but we can only trust Lily now." Cameron sighed, "Oh, yes, I forgot to tell you something."

After a pause, he met Alexander's puzzled gaze and said, "Rhea's also at the embassy."

Alexander was only slightly surprised. "So she knows who's behind the organization."

Nodding, Cameron asked, "What about your side? Did you replace any evidence?"

"Yes, but... I feel he has his reasons." Alexander shook his head, feeling conflicted. On the one hand, he felt betrayed. On the other hand, he empathized with him to some extent. "That's unlike you," Cameron said, giving him a deep look.

Alexander knew he was right. The former could be tough on others in the past, but not anymore. It wasn't that he had become soft as he got older. Instead, his experience had changed how he thought about the matter.

Having been worried about the twins and Lily lately, he knew how miserable it must be for the man. Alexander could guess why he did it.

"Let me observe him for a while," Alexander said, "We all know Rhea was researching stuff she could use for mind control. I'm more inclined to believe he couldn't help it, just as you were before."

Cameron was at a loss for words.

He thought what happened last time was a significant setback in his life. However, he became highly guarded because of it. He even turned the tables when she tried to do it to him again, tricking her into believing he had fallen into her trap.

"All right, but you must remember, the law doesn't care whether or not a perpetrator has acted against their wishes."

Alexander nodded. "I know. How many days will Prince Ross stay in Hyderland?"

After some thought, Cameron answered, "He told people three days, but there might be slight changes, I guess."

After all, Ross could adjust his schedule.

Alexander nodded. "I got it."

"Well, keep me in the loop if there are any updates," Cameron said, then got into the car that had been waiting for him.

Alexander waved goodbye, gazing after the car as it went away.

Fred did not discover any helpful information after staring at the monitor. He suddenly thought of locking Rhea and Lily up together, hoping the former would reveal any secrets he did not know about. However, it was a pointless endeavor. Rhea only went on with nonsense as she argued with Lily.

Now, the two women sat apart and ignored each other.

Seeing them through the surveillance monitor, Fred said into the microphone, "Take Rhea back to her room."
