How Death Became My Rebirth by Evelyn Florence Chapter 264
Chapter 264
The surveillance thing was over. Anyway, they had to stop since it would easily arouse suspicion.
However, Cassandra had already suspected it. She tracked the enemy after she finished her work and finally got the information that he was in the Queen’s Palace.
Looking at the IP address on the screen, Cassandra was a little confused. She asked, “Why do people from Queen’s Palace want to hack into the surveillance system of the Falcon Special Operations Force? What do they want?”
Jeremiah was confused as well and he said, “I don’t know. The Falcon Special Operations. Force is just here to complete the Evacuation Operation. Why would someone attack us?”
Cassandra rolled her eyes and said, “How do I know?”
“I know.” Kenneth also came in. He went to replace Cassandra but didn’t see her. Someone said that Cassandra had come to the technical team.
He heard them discussing and couldn’t help but cut in.
“What is it?”
“The person we met today is Theodore Yates, the Queen’s eldest son, also Harper’s elder brother. Vincent has good hacking skills. I think someone asked him to investigate you.” Otherwise, there was no other explanation.
Cassandra was speechless.
“Are you saying that Harper did all this?”
“It’s possible.”
Kenneth nodded. Suddenly, his phone rang.
“Hello?
“Yes, sir!
“We’ll arrive on time tomorrow!”
Kenneth hung up the phone helplessly.
“What happened?” Cassandra asked.
“The higher authority ordered me to negotiate with the Queen of Zosteylor tomorrow on behalf of Clusia, and Director Walker will go see Kamila.”
Kenneth frowned. He thought, “Their civil strife had already hurt innocent people, and now they won’t even let Clusians go.
‘What exactly do they want to do?‘
“Just Director Walker?” Cassandra asked.
“I’ll arrange for Yannick to accompany him.” Kenneth looked at Jeremiah and continued, “Why don’t you go with Director Walker to see Kamila as well?”
Cassandra looked at Kenneth.
She thought, ‘What about me?
‘Just wait at the camp?‘

Kenneth seemed to know what Cassandra was thinking and said softly, “You can’t go anywhere now. You’re the doctor they both want. No matter where you go, you may not be able to come back. We’re going as ambassadors this time, and we won’t be carrying weapons. So, you stay in the camp, okay?”
Cassandra looked at Kenneth and seemed to want to argue, but she felt that he was right, so she said, “Fine, I’ll do as you say.”
At the critical moment, she shouldn’t be the one to hold them back.

The next day, Kenneth, Kayden, and Kayden’s second–in–command, Daniel, Yannick, and Jeremiah split into two groups heading for the Queen’s Palace and Kamila’s camp relatively.
When they reached the Queen’s Palace, they were stopped at the door.
“Sorry, but we need to search your body. The Queen is not in good health, so…” A guard said that respectfully. Kenneth showed understanding and let the guards search their bodies.
After confirming that nothing was wrong, the guards let the three of them in.
The gorgeous palace was magnificent. Perhaps because all the previous state leaders were women, traces of pink could be found everywhere in the palace, which wasn’t obvious but couldn’t be ignored as well.
In the negotiation room, Kenneth and others were sitting aside, waiting for the Queen’s arrival.
When the Queen came in, Kenneth was stunned and called, “Cas…”
‘No, she isn’t Cassie, he thought.
Although she and Cassandra looked very alike, she was more mature and charming and her face bore the marks of age, while Cassandra was still immature and bright, and most importantly, her face was still quite delicate.
“Sorry to have kept you waiting, Mr. Zelinski.” The Queen first reached out and shook hands with Kenneth.
Seeing this, Kenneth reached out his hand and gently shook hands with the Queen.
“Please have a seat.”
Kenneth was still in shock. Her smile was quite like Cassandra’s as well, and he could even imagine what Cassandra would look like after she turned 50.
It was so real.
He thought, ‘Who is the Queen exactly?‘
O
“Mr. Zelinski, Mr. Zelinski?” The Queen called Kenneth twice. Kayden patted Kenneth’s back worriedly, and Kenneth finally came to his senses.
“I’m sorry.” Kenneth nodded and said, “Your Majesty, you’re just so much like a friend of mine. I thought I saw her. I’m so sorry for being rude.”
Kenneth suppressed his doubts and planned to wait for the explanation to come.
“It doesn’t matter. It’s rare to meet a person who looks like your friend in this world.” The Queen said with understanding.
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
“Let’s get down to business.” After the brief interlude, Kenneth focused himself on the negotiation.

After several hours of discussion, although there was no final answer, the Queen had already wavered.
Then, Kenneth decided to give a more specific Evacuation Operation plan and wait for the Queen to make the decision and draft it, and then let Zosteylor’s armies escort their Clusians.
“Thank you, Your Majesty. This has been of great help to our Evacuation Operation.” Kenneth showed his gratitude without hesitation.
“It’s Clusia who helps us a lot…” The Queen looked at the three of them and went on gently, “If you don’t mind, you can have dinner here before going back.”
Kenneth looked at Kayden and his second in command. Seeing that there was nothing wrong with them, he agreed.
During dinner, the Queen suddenly asked, “Mr. Zelinski, your friend who looks very like me, where is she from? How old is she now?”
She thought, ‘Could it be my daughter?

‘Daughters look like mothers, don’t they?‘
Kenneth looked at the Queen’s expression. She seemed to have mixed feelings, including inquiry and expectation, but more of it was guilt.
With this awareness, Kenneth didn’t tell the truth. “She’s from Drieso. She’s 20 now and very cute.”
Except for adding Cassandra’s age, he was telling the truth:
years old
The Queen withdrew her eyes in disappointment. She thought, ‘Her age is wrong, so she shouldn’t be the person I’m looking for.
‘But even if she is, she shouldn’t come here at this time. How could she stand such chaos?‘
Kenneth pretended not to understand her emotions and asked curiously, “Why did you ask that, Your Majesty?”
“I thought she would be my daughter…” However, she didn’t have the right age.
“Oh? You have a daughter, Your Majesty? How old is she? Where is she now?” Kenneth asked, snorting coldly in his heart. If he was right, Cassandra was the daughter of the Queen.
He thought, ‘So why do they have to let Cassie suffer for 18 years when they have such a happy family?‘
“She’s 18 years old, but as for where she is…” The Queen sighed and continued, “I don’t know.”
She didn’t even know whether her daughter was alive or dead now.
Kenneth asked, “Did you guys get separated?”
The Queen’s face suddenly darkened as if she had thought of something unpleasant, and her breathing became rapid.
“Doctor, doctor!”
