Chapter 4
Jay was instantly full of disbelief when he heard this.
Then he interrupted angrily, “Who do you say died? Are you looking for trouble cursing my daughter?!
“Someone who appeared on surveillance a few days ago. Now you tell me she has been dead for several days? What did Tiffany offer you to act for her like this? To fight me for custody, you want her dead? I am telling you now, you are fired. Get out of my company immediately!”
After saying this, he did not even leave time to explain to his assistant.
Except for Lilian, he had no patience for anyone.
Jay gritted his teeth and looked at me, saying hatefully, “I am going to the hospital now to check on Chloe myself!”
Two bodyguards lifted me up. I was dazed and had no mood to listen to what he was saying.
He turned and took two steps, then stopped and turned back.
“Once I replace Chloe, I will divorce you even if you don’t say anything!”
When she heard this, Lilian, who was watching, finally showed a glimmer in her eyes.
She quickly put on a gentle expression and comforted him, “Jay, don’t be like this. I no longer blame Chloe. I will be fine after taking medicine and having an IV. As long as Chloe knows her mistake, it’s fine. We will see each other again in the future.”
I did not expect that after Chloe’s death was revealed, she was still smearing her.
My anger gave me a sudden burst of strength.

I broke free from the bodyguards‘ grip and grabbed the remaining alcohol from his hand. Before anyone could react, I splashed it on Lilian’s face.
As she screamed, Jay slapped me across the face.
He immediately ordered the bodyguards to take Lilian to the hospital.
He followed closely behind.
As he went downstairs, he turned and ordered a bodyguard to stay at the door and watch me, not allowing me to leave.
Just like that, I was imprisoned by him in my own home with Chloe’s ashes.
The broken door made a harsh creak as they left. I felt all my strength drain away and collapsed to the ground.
Tears gushed out as I collapsed, hugging my legs.
I had just started crying when I suddenly remembered the dried ashes on my face.
The movement of my lips while crying made my face ache.
I crawled to Chloe’s urn and carefully picked off the dried ashes from my face, placing them gently into the urn.
Every piece I picked off stuck to the hairs on my face, making me grimace in pain.
After cleaning my face, I lay down slowly on the floor.
I gently scooped up the ashes that had fallen on the floor and slowly moved them back into the urn.
I did not stop until I could not see any ashes left on the floor. Only then did I breathe a sigh of relief.
I stood up in a daze, trembling as I took Chloe’s urn and went

back inside.
I had been focused on collecting the ashes. Now, as I calmed down, I noticed how terribly swollen my face was.
I quickly took allergy medicine and drank some water.
I lay on the sofa, holding Chloe’s urn tightly.
I did not know how long it had been, but my vision gradually blurred.
The silence in the room was suddenly broken by the sound of the phone ringing.
I picked up my phone and glanced at it. It was Amelia.
