Husband’s first 9
Chapter 9
Lilian instantly lost the strength to struggle. Her eves were filled with panic.
She kept shaking her head, trying to explain to Jay. But the police impatiently pushed her into the patrol car.
They found the real proof from the hospital on her phone, along with her edited photos.
Lilian sat in the interrogation room. Her eyes glistened with tears as she looked at Jay.
When she spoke, she brought up their beautiful memories together.
But Jay only felt disgusted.
He had thought that by this point, Lilian would wake up.
But he was wrong. Terribly wrong.
After failing to act, Lilian’s spirit quickly broke down.
She cried out to Jay, “We were meant to be together from the start. If it weren’t for Tiffany and Chloe, we would be married by now. There are no more obstacles. Can’t we be together again? I can give you children. If you like daughters, I will give you a daughter. If you like sons, we will have a son. We can be happier!
“Didn’t you say you didn’t like Tiffany? Now is our chance!”
Watching his former lover’s stubbornness, Jay felt a growing sense of disappointment.
Then he left the police station.
He came to me with a new divorce agreement that he had already signed.

The only difference from the old agreement was that he gave me an additional thirty percent of the assets.
I looked at him in confusion.
“I am sorry. This is a small token from me. I am not asking for your forgiveness. I know my actions are unforgivable. Consider this my compensation for Chloe. Please accept it.”
I never wanted his money. I just wanted a divorce.
་་
As long as I could divorce him, I didn’t care about anything else!
I could not even hear what he was saying. I just picked up the pen and hurriedly signed.
The moment I finished signing, I felt a sense of relief.
It was over.
The divorce certificate was light to sum up my ten years.
It was not enough to bear the weight of my daughter’s life.
I packed my things simply and prepared to return to my hometown.
This city was large. But no matter where I went, I seemed to see only my mother and daughter.
It was too painful.
I could not stay any longer.
On the day I left, Jay stood in front of me.
“Tiffany, is there no chance of staying?”
Hearing his question, I slowly looked up at the sky. “Stay? Possible?
Impossible.”
From the moment Chloe left, there was no room for turning

back.
My five years of endurance and humiliation had come to a complete end.
I did not respond to him. Instead, I walked around him and got into the car.
I only sent him a message.
“Let the assistant continue working.”
After turning off the phone, I took out the SIM card and bent it.
He was like a roadblock in my life. Only by avoiding him would my future be better.
It was a pity I realized this too late.
I hoped it was not too late to turn around.
