Chapter 337 Departure

Chen Hao returned to the ward after bringing Su Ziyue some porridge.

He then took out his phone to take a look and saw a text message sent by an unknown number.

By the time he finished reading the content of the message, he was startled.

Su Tongxin is returning to Hong Kong?

I haven't had time to explain to her yet.

Thereafter, he quickly drove to the airport.

Along the way, he repeatedly called Su Tongxin as well.

However, she did not pick up at all.

By the time he arrived at the airport, he saw that the airplane had already taken off.

Chen Hao panicked and was about to call for his helicopter to chase after the plane.

Ding! Just then, he received a text message on his phone.

Su Tongxin was the one who sent it.

"Chen Hao, I am returning to Hong Kong for now. There are certain things you don't have to explain to me because I believe you. Previously, I was just jealous and was in a fit of pique. I only wanted you to coax me but I forgot to take your feelings into consideration! Don't come and look for me yet, give me some time! I love you forever and always!"

Chen Hao panicked and scratched his head after reading the message.

What does she mean by that?

Why would she say something like this out of the blue?

Chen Hao banged his hands onto the steering wheel. After not seeing her for so long, she left before I even had the opportunity to talk to her.

By the time Chen Hao returned to the hospital, he was a little gloomy.

He couldn't help passing the message over to Su Ziyue and asked for her opinion.

Chen Hao asked, "What does this message mean? Is Su Tongxin breaking up with me or what?"

Su Ziyue started laughing then.

"Of course she's not breaking up with you. Can't you see that she was worried that you would overthink? That's why she added the sentence saying that she loves you forever. That means that she just wants some alone time to cool down and think about things!"

Sigh, at the end of the day, it still meant that she was mad at me.

If I didn't help Qin Ya out, then Tongxin wouldn't have bump into us and nothing would have happened!

However, since Tongxin said that she wants some time alone to cool down, I shouldn't go and disturb her as well.

I shall go to Chengdu and locate Mengxin first before heading to Hong Kong to look for her.

The next day, Chen Hao, Su Ziyue and of course the old man, Qin Yifan, left on a train headed to Chengdu.

This time around, Chen Hao's main focus was to locate someone. In addition to that, his sister had previously invested in a small business in Chengdu. He guessed that his sister had probably forgotten about it.

Li Zhenguo was the one who brought it up.

That was a good thing for Chen Hao. After all, it would be a lot faster locating somebody with both monetary resources and connections within the area.

"Grandpa Qin, have some fruits! I have peeled them for you!"

Su Ziyue was still rather weak.

However, she clearly appreciated Qin Yifan saving her life. Thus, she was very caring toward both Chen Hao and Qin Yifan throughout the journey. "Mr. Qin, where is your hometown?"

Qin Yifan said, "I forgot. I will take a look around when we arrive in Chengdu."

Chen Hao was speechless and could only smile.

"Chen Hao? What are you doing here?"

Just as Chen Hao was staring out of the window while deep in thought, a girl's confused tone could be heard.

Chen Hao turned his head and was surprised to see a familiar face on board.

The girl was Hu Huimin!

Standing by her side were a few unfamiliar faces as well as Shen Junwen whom he bumped into the previous time. Chen Hao was shocked by their dress codes as it was different from their usual look.

By the looks of it, they were dressed up as students.

The other girl also stared at Chen Hao along with Hu Huimin.

Chen Hao casually said, "I am going to Chengdu! Where are you going?"

After all, Hu Huimin used to be classmates with him and she was even his team captain during high school.

Therefore, Chen Hao naturally asked.

Hu Huimin casually replied, "We are also heading to Chengdu. As to why, you don't have to know!"

What a coincidence.

How could I have bumped into her everywhere?

Hu Huimin was surprised that Chen Hao could actually afford to upgrade from electric trains with green carriages to this high-speed train.

After a quick chat with mostly Hu Huimin talking back in a rebuking tone, they eventually stopped talking.

Chen Hao also felt snubbed despite his good intentions.

Alas, it did not matter.

Chen Hao was not going to be particular about that.

However, by the looks of it, Hu Huimin must be going to Chengdu to partake in some private activities.

Chen Hao was not interested to know what it was.

At that moment, Su Ziyue had peeled and sliced another fruit.

Su Ziyue could tell that Chen Hao knew Hu Huimin well.

Moreover, Hu Huimin and the rest of her friends were seated fairly close to Chen Hao.

Hence, with a smile on her face, Su Ziyue asked, "Miss Hu, I have just peeled and sliced this fruit. Do you want one?"

Su Ziyue was kind and warm hearted.

So, she naturally offered some fruits to Hu Huimin.

Hu Huimin casually replied, "Thank you, but it's okay. I don't eat fruits!"

In her eyes, Chen Hao was a poor loser thus she naturally looked down at all of his friends.

The same rule applied to a circle of friends. If one was of no status within that circle, everybody would look down on that person. Therefore, if that person were to bring a friend into their circle, the rest of them would naturally look down on the friend as well.

On the contrary, if one was very popular in the circle, all the friends they introduced would be very well accepted by the rest.

Su Ziyue actually planned to make Chen Hao look good in front of his friends by being nice and friendly. However, she did not expect this pretty Miss Hu to sort of dislike her. Su Ziyue's face turned red as she awkwardly took her fruits back.

Shen Junwen put on a bitter smile and said, "Huimin, this is a tangerine given to me by my relatives from my hometown. It is quite sweet, let me peel one for you to try!"

When someone attained a certain status, there would be many people coming up to fawn over that person. Even then, not everyone had the qualifications and opportunity to do so.

Hu Huimin nodded.

"We heard that the tangerines in Jin Ling City are quite famous. We spent most of our time in the Northern Region so we are interested to try as well!"

A few other girls on the opposite side chirped in as well.

It was clear that the few of them originated from different areas.

"Alright! Here you go!"

Shen Junwen smiled and tossed the tangerines over to them.

He also peeled one for Hu Huimin.

Hu Huimin ate one and said, "Yup, it's very sweet!"

The few of them then started chatting and sharing stories about their lives.

Chen Hao could tell that Su Ziyue was exceptionally embarrassed as her face turned red.

He was quite furious inside.

After all, Hu Huimin was so rude by looking down at them.

As such, he consoled Su Ziyue by patting her on the shoulders and peeled a tangerine for her.

Su Ziyue then asked, "Chen Hao, how are we getting to Liang City?"

Chen Hao said, "We could rent a car and drive there. Since it's nothing special, we don't need the help from the business in Chengdu yet! We can decide later on!"

After all, this task given by his father was to be done with secrecy and the only other person to know about this was Li Zhenguo.

As for the others, they merely thought Chen Hao was in Chengdu for a vacation.

Therefore, Chen Hao had no requests at the moment, so he did not inform his sister's company in Chengdu as well.

Plus, he heard that the business was not exactly a large one and was streets behind compared to his businesses in Jin Ling.

In a blink of an eye, four hours had passed.

By then, it was already evening.

At that moment, outside of Chengdu train station.

More than ten luxurious cars were parked outside.

"Why is he not here yet? I am already so tired from standing. President Zhu, you came down here personally to pick him up but who is this guy?"

"Shut up and stand straight! If I replace out that your ignorance and disrespect offended this person, you would be in deep sh*t!" President Zhu was a middle-aged man. With a serious look on his face, he shouted at one of the female managers working for him.
