Chapter 469 The End of the Situ Family

Clink! Clink!

The table trembled so much that the plates and wine glasses on the table collided with each other.

The trembling was caused by Long Biao as well as the father and son of the Situ family.

Just now, they were still having a merry time, eating and drinking.

Now, it was time to meet their doom.

All 3 of them had witnessed the power of the Mo family.

However, the Mo family was no match for Chen Hao.

Then, Chen Hao walked toward the table.

Long Biao was so afraid that he knelt before him.

"Young Master Chen, please s-spare my life!"

The muscular man weighing 180 pounds was so scared that his own snot flowed down his face and into his mouth.

"6 months ago, when I escaped to the Southwest region, you brought along your men to pursue and kill me. More than 30 of my men were crippled by you. They were all my friends in Jin Ling," said Chen Hao as he patted Long Biao's head.

On the other hand, Chen Hao did not seem to hear anything at all.

He smashed Long Biao's head viciously.

There was a muffled sound. Following that, Long Biao's eyes started to bleed. Not long after that, he fell to the ground.

Both the father and the son of the Situ family were as pale as a sheet of paper.

They were so frightened that they retreated to a corner of the room.

They felt that the person standing before them wasn't Chen Hao, but a monster.

Chen Hao looked at the father and son pair who were scared out of their wits.

Then, he turned his gaze upon the table.

He sat down and poured himself a glass of red wine. Then, he grabbed an abalone and chewed on it.

"I heard that both of you were looking for me in the Southwest Region for the past 6 months. Moreover, you guys even spent a large amount of wealth and human resources to do that. Now that I am here, why are you looking for me?" asked Chen Hao as he looked at them.

"N-Nothing, Young Master Ch-Chen. It really is nothing," said Situ Hong while trembling.

"If you have no reason to replace me, then why did you expend such a huge amount of resources to do so? I thought that both of you had some important matters to discuss, if not, why would I leave both of you alive until now?" said Chen Hao with a smirk.

After he was finished with the abalone and the red wine, Chen Hao walked toward the father and son pair.

Rumble! Rumble!

The sound of thunder outside grew louder.

However, it stopped after a bout of heavy rain.

The Situ family's mansion was set alight.

The entire area of the Situ family's mansion was bathed in a sea of raging fire, which illuminated the sky as if it was daytime.

A figure was seen putting on his cap and carrying a bag while slowly leaving the Situ family's home. In the end, the figure disappeared into the endless darkness.

The next day at dawn, the air was especially refreshing after the heavy rain last night.

At the warehouse in the suburban area, there were several makeshift beds on the floor.

It was Fang Jiannan and the rest. They were sound asleep.

Fang Jiannan's eyelids fluttered slightly.

She vaguely heard some footsteps outside, waking her.

Immediately, she sat upright vigilantly.

She saw that Hu Huimin and the rest of them were sleeping whereas the sun was shining brightly outside the warehouse. What made Jiannan surprised was the fact that there wasn't a single soul outside the warehouse.

It was empty.

"Wake up! Everybody, wake up!" shouted Fang Jiannan.

Only then did everybody wake up.

"What's wrong, Jiannan? I am so sleepy. I did not expect myself to doze off so fast," said Hu Huimin as she yawned.

"Take a look everyone, there is nobody in the warehouse anymore," said Fang Jiannan.

Only then did all of them realize it.

"Yes, you are right. Where are the people? They were here last night. It makes no sense that they left as we did not hear a single sound."

Shen Junwen stood up immediately.

On the other hand, Fang Jiannan only frowned. At that moment, she saw that there were several burnt incense sticks stuck to the floor around the warehouse. She did not know when it got there. "The smoke from this type of incense stick knocked us out," said Fang Jiannan.

"Who are they? They saved us, yet they did not want to tell us their names," said Hu Huimin.

Following that, somebody shouted, "Guys, take a look here, quick! There is a paper box here and there is something inside it."

Everybody immediately surrounded the box.

'To, Hu Huimin'

There was a seal on the box.

"Miss Hu, it seems that somebody left this for you specifically," someone said.

Hu Huimin was suddenly moved for no reason at all.

At that moment, her mind was flooded with millions of thoughts.

When Shen Junwen saw this, he felt nervous.

"Hmph! What can there be inside this box? Open it!" said Shen Junwen as he pouted.

"What are you doing? This is for me, you can't open it," said Hu Huimin angrily.

"Who knows what is inside there?"

When Shen Junwen saw Hu Huimin acting like this, he wanted to argue with her.

After all, he was worried that she fell for someone else.

At this moment, Fang Jiannan cried out, "Don't make a sound. Somebody is heading toward us."

Following that, she ran toward the entrance of the warehouse.

Everybody became nervous in that instant.

"Jiannan, Huimin, are you guys inside?"

Just when everybody thought that it was Situ Yang, who had managed to pursue them here, a sweet female voice instantly dispelled their concerns. "Fang Yi?"

Fang Jiannan knew instantly who it was just by that voice alone.

At that moment, she walked out.

It really was Fang Yi! She brought along several people from the Fang family and some bodyguards with her as she walked toward them.

"We are here!"

Fang Jiannan waved her hands happily.

'Ah! Jiannan, it's really great to see you all unharmed!"

After last night, everyone could say that they have experienced one of the most terrifying situations in their life.

Words could not describe the joy of a reunion after surviving a catastrophic ordeal.

"My lady, we are glad you are alright. The Old Master is worried about you." said the higher-ups of the family with a smile.

"I am fine. By the way, Fang Yi, I thought that you all did not manage to escape. So how are you able to stand right here before me?" asked Fang Jiannan in surprise.

"We were rescued in the end. It was San. San rescued us all!"

Fang Yi said while crying.

"San?"

Fang Jiannan was surprised at first. However, when she saw that Fang Yi was crying so sadly, she asked, "What's wrong? Why are you crying?"

"I think something happened to San. After he rescued us, he went back to rescue Shengnan. However, the Situ family's mansion caught on fire. Everything was burned down to the ground, and San has disappeared."

Fang Jiannan looked sad as well.

"Fang Yi, don't panic. San is a lucky man. He will definitely be ok. Besides, we haven't started our search for him yet," advised Fang Jiannan.
