I Am Unstoppable -
Chapter 358
Chapter 358
The place was filled with the pungent odor of blood under the blazing sun.
Torny felt as if he had seen a ghost when he spotted Jonathan and Mabel. Naturally, he was no fool tobe able to stand where he was today. Something's not right!
Torny stared at his visitors warily.
Since Jonathan was unwilling to delay things further and potentially missing Vananeru, he did notbother making small talk with Torny.
He immediately said, “Torny, call your idiot son at once. If he dares touch Vananeru, both you and yourson will come to regret it. Trust me, I'll make you wish you were dead instead.”
Torny sucked in a deep breath. Without further ado, he nodded and phoned Pedor.
Although Torny had no idea what was happening, he was a smart man.
Knowing that Karson was dead and countless other bodyguards were either dead or had gone mad, heknew he could not afford to mess with the visitors.
Torny did as he was told and called Pedor. However, before the call connected, they heard the sound ofa car coming from the outside. It was followed by the sound of Pedor's obscene laughter.
Instantly, Jonathan and Mabel turned around to see the door of Pedor's car being flung open and theman coming out with Vananeru in his arms.
Pedor's face was gleeful.
However, he immediately froze in shock as he stared at the scene in the building before him.
At that moment, Torny took decisive action.
Seeing Jonathan and Mabel turn around at the same time, he knew that they had exposed their backsto him.
Torny was a Nascent Soul cultivator. He, too, had his pride. There wasn't anyone in the world whocould afford to show him their backs and not die.
He was just that confident in himself. It was the sort of confidence that was born out of countlessvictories. Like a bolt of lightning, he appeared behind Jonathan and Mabel in a flash.
Torny was a kickboxing expert, and his fists were as mighty as Mount Goliath as he thrust them forwardin a powerful move.
For a moment, it seemed as if he could kill Jonathan and Mabel with his fists.
Just then, Jonathan nonchalantly spun around and slapped Torny.
His timely reaction caused Torny to stagger and lose his balance. Torny wobbled around, dazed andconfused as half of his face turned red and swollen from the impact of the slap, and half of his teethwere also shattered.
After a long moment, Torny finally regained his senses and spat out a mouthful of bloody teeth.
Jonathan snickered. “What were you trying to pull, Torny? Were you trying to sneak up on me?”
Torny's eyes were filled with fear as he stared at Jonathan. Nevertheless, he could not utter a singleword.
“How naughty of you,” Jonathan chided.
His words nearly made Torny spit out blood in frustration.
Pedor and his subordinates, who had just arrived, were also stunned by the scene that had justunfolded before them. The subordinates instantly prepared to confront a formidable enemy while Pedorgrabbed Vananeru, yelling at Jonathan sternly, “B*stard! What the h*ll do you think you're doing?”
Jonathan's expression instantly turned cold. “Come again?”
Taken aback, Pedor dared not repeat the words. He grabbed Vananeru. She was his only hope ofpreserving his life.
Vananeru felt conflicted as she stared at Jonathan. She had not expected the latter to show up soquickly.
Jonathan sneered, “Do you think you can rest easy just because you're holding onto Ms. Vananeru?”The words had barely left Jonathan's mouth when he struck.
Pedor briefly saw something flash before his eyes before he was struck by a tremendous blow.
He was sent flying and crashed to the ground with a heavy thud.
On the other hand, Vananeru emerged unscathed with Jonathan's arm wrapped around her waist.
His actions caused Vananeru to blush.
Jonathan let go of Vananeru and turned to look at Torny. “Shall we have a nice long chat?”
The look in Torny's eyes was extremely complicated. How can I refuse?
Following that, they all entered the condominium.
The air-conditioning in the living room of the condominium had been turned on, and the interior wasluxuriously furnished.
Jonathan, Mabel, and Vananeru sat on the couch while Torny and Pedor stood before them likedisobedient children.
Casually, Jonathan said, “Torny, I consider myself a reasonable person. Don't you think so too?”
Inwardly, Torny's and Pedor's hearts filled with bitterness. Forcing a smile, Torny replied, “Yes, you are.”
Jonathan smiled. “I'm glad that we're all on the same page. Let me ask you this, don't you think it'll beeasy for me to kill the both of you?”
“Yes, we do!” Torny and Pedor immediately replied.
Jonathan continued, “Shall I take this to mean that I'm holding your lives in my hand?”
“Yes!” Torny could already guess where Jonathan was going with this. He had mocked the other man ina similar fashion before, and Jonathan was returning the favor.
Jonathan said, “I know both you and your son are worth a lot. When I previously slapped your sontwice and kicked him once, you asked for a hundred and fifty million. If my calculations are correct, thismeans your son's life is worth one billion. Is that right?”
Torny was dumbfounded. He felt like whatever he said would just be him digging his own grave.
“So? Is he worth that much or not? If he isn't, I am going to kill him.” Jonathan grew annoyed whenTorny did not immediately reply.
Torny said unhappily, “Sir, I'll be honest with you. My entire family fortune is only worth one billionthymon.”
“The h*ll!” Jonathan was infuriated. “You spoke so pretentiously before, and now you're telling me your
fortune doesn't even amount to two hundred million? Are you kidding me?”
When converted to his currency, one billion thymon was less than two hundred million!
Torny lowered his head, not daring to utter a single word.
Jonathan declared, “I came here with the intention of extorting you today. I did not come here for ameasly two hundred million. If you can't produce three billion thymon today, both you and your son willdie.”
Jonathan knew that Torny was a person who often exaggerated a great deal. He also knew that itwasn't possible for Torny to possess so much money. After all, the latter was not a business-mindedman.
Torny begged pitifully, “Sir, please. I truly don't have so much money!”
“If you can't pay up, you'll have to die,” Jonathan replied frankly. He added, “You two make quite a pair. You're barely one foot out of poverty, yet you're already acting so arrogant. You smashed up my Ferrarilike it was some cheap car. You even asked for a hundred and fifty million. F*ck, how dare you?”
Jonathan was truly astounded by their behavior and no longer wanted to continue the conversation withTorny.
Sensing that Jonathan's mind was already made, Torny had no choice but to acquiesce. He said, “I canget the funds somehow, but I'll need some time.”
“I'll give you thirty minutes,” Jonathan offered generously. “If I don't receive the money after thirty
minutes, both you and your son are dead.”
At that juncture, Torny finally had a taste of what it felt like to be cornered by someone. He was left withno other choice and could only do as he was told.
Thirty minutes later, Torny produced ten bank cards.
Inwardly, Torny wanted to cry. He was truly bankrupt now. Even his house had been mortgaged.
Jonathan took the ten bank cards and passed them to Mabel. He told her, “Can you move the fundsinto my card?”
Mabel knew that Jonathan was worried that Torny would try to play a trick on them. Nodding, shereplied, “No problem.” After a pause, she continued, “You can stay here while I go take care of this. I'llgive you a call when it's done.”
Jonathan nodded in response. “Okay!”
With that said, Mabel quickly left while Vananeru remained to keep Jonathan company.
Jonathan and Vananeru sat there and waited.
Approximately an hour later, Mabel called. “Everything's settled. After converting the currency, it totalsup to four hundred and eighty million. It will take about two days for it to go into your account. I've takencare of the various paperwork.”
Jonathan was unfazed by his sudden fortune. To him, money and wealth were merely tools.
Nodding, he said, “Got it. You should come back here.”
Mabel agreed, “Okay!”
Although Torny had lost everything, he strangely did not feel afraid. As long as he was still alive, therewas a chance for him to make a comeback someday.
Smiling imploringly, Torny asked, “Sir, are you willing to let us go now?”
Jonathan smiled faintly. “You get to keep your lives for now. However...”
That single word was utterly terrifying.
Torny's and Pedor's hearts lurched.
Jonathan continued leisurely, “I never said that I would let you go unharmed. First of all, Torny, I mustsay, your family sure isn't blessed. You were done in by your son. My Ferrari was parked in the schoolparking lot, and he was the one who came looking for trouble. This is karma, you know? And it's allbecause Pedor has done too many unethical things in the past. Truth be told, it doesn't matter if hewrecked my car. What matters is that he insulted my mother. To me, my mother is the most importantexistence in my heart. He'll have to pay the price for insulting her.”
Upon uttering those words, Jonathan sprinted over and instantly appeared before Pedor.
He then flicked a finger at the latter's groin. Pedor felt a sharp pain as the blood began to gush from hisnether region.
Following that, Jonathan thrust his fingers into Pedor's eyes.
“Ahh!” Pedor shrieked in pain.
He was a tragic sight to behold as tears of blood began to flow from his eyes.
Vananeru stared at Pedor without a shred of pity. This is karma. Pedor, you're finally getting yourretribution for your wicked deeds!
Torny was completely taken aback and filled with anger. Nevertheless, he could only take a deepbreath and endure it.
“Are you angry?” Jonathan asked as he grinned at Torny.
Torny took a deep breath again. “No. Pedor insulted your mother, and this is his retribution.”
“Torny, f*ck you!” Pedor shouted angrily, furious that his father was not avenging him.
Torny ignored Pedor.
Jonathan smiled. “I must say, you're a tactful person, Torny. However, you're quite a despicable man.Although you've been stripped of your wealth, you still retain your cultivation. You'll harm plenty ofpeople if I leave you be. That would be a sin on my part. Hence, I've decided to break your legs, but Ihope you'll have good luck living on. Remember, don't hold it against me. If you dare curse at me, I'll ripyour tongue out.”
Torny was livid but could only helplessly endure it.
He knew that Jonathan was a man who stood by his word.
“Sir, please have mercy!” Torny knelt in fear and bowed repeatedly.
