Chapter 135 Divorcing

"Grandma, it's okay. I..."

"Women's faces need extra care."

Before Yanis could finish, Catherine interrupted her and told Zane to help Yanis change the medicine.

Yanis looked up at Zane.

But as she looked over, Zane had turned to get the medicine kit.

Yanis had to look back.

"Anika, coming home with mommy tonight?" Lucia sat down beside Anika and asked softly.

"I don't want to go home. I want to live with Zane and my sister-in-law."

Lucia heard Anika's words, glanced at Yanis, "That's not appropriate. Besides, your brother and Yanis are going to..."

"Stop it! Didn't you come here to see Anika? Why do you keep mentioning something else? I really don't know what you are thinking."

Catherine didn't let Lucia finish and interrupted, "Anika doesn't like that woman, and you know it. As her mother, you should be careful, shouldn't you?"

Lucia was reprimanded by Catherine and didn't mention Neve again.

But her aversion towards Yanis remained undiminished.

"Mom, only Yanis can be my sister-in-law, not anyone else," said Anika resolutely, "I will stay here with Zane and Yanis. Yanis will take good care of me, you don't have to worry."

As she said, Anika looked at Yanis, "Yanis, will you take good care of me?"

Yanis looked into Anika's eyes, which were filled with expectations, she found it hard to turn her down.

While Yanis was hesitating, Lucia sneered coldly, "She is always busy seducing men. How can she have time to take care of you?"

Zane heard Lucia's words just as he came over with the medicine box.

His face turned gloomy as he put the medicine box on the table, "She is busy seducing me and doesn't have much time to take care of Anika. But I will replace someone to take care of Anika here, if you have nothing else, you should go home now."

Then Zane squatted down in front of Yanis, grabbed Yanis's injured hand, and gently removed the gauze wrapped around it yesterday.

"You two must have been case a spell by her! She's always with Ivan Baxter, you think there would be nothing between them?"

Lucia didn't expect Zane to take Yanis's side and was a little unhappy. She didn't restrain her words anymore.

Her words agitated both Zane and Yanis.

Before Zane could say anything, Yanis said, "So, Mrs. Lawrence, there must be something between me and my friend but nothing between Zane and Neve?"

Yanis was angry, obviously, but there seemed to be more than anger in her words.

After hearing Yanis's words, Zane looked up at her, "There is nothing between me and her."

Yanis stared at him, "You mean there is something between me and Ivan?"

Before Zane could speak, Lucia sneered again, "You know it better than we do. Have you ever seen a woman book a hotel room for a man in the middle of the night? Have you ever seen a woman being that intimate with another man while having a husband?"

"Mom!" After hearing Lucia's words, Anika stood up, "Yanis has said that's her friend, can you cut it?"

Lucia glanced at Anika and then at Yanis, "Haven't you ever been to a hotel with Ivan?"

Looking at Lucia's face, Yanis suddenly gave up arguing with her, for it was totally unnecessary.

Yanis stood up and looked at Catherine sitting there, "Catherine, I have to go now."

Then Yanis took her bag and was about to leave.

As she took a step, Zane grabbed her wrist. "Let me treat your injury first."

Yanis frowned and shook off Zane's hand, "Thank you, but no."

With that, Yanis left D-king Castle without looking back.

Just as she went out, Bonnie called.

Yanis answered the phone, "Bonnie, can you come to D-king Castle to pick me up?"

Bonnie was stunned, "Weren't you with Ivan? Why are you in D-king Castle?"

"Just some matter to deal with. I will wait for you across the road from the mall, we can do some groceries."

Bonnie said, "Ok, it will take ten minutes for me to be there."

"Okay, see you then."

Hanging up the phone, Yanis walked across the road.

In the living room in D-king Castle.

Right after Yanis left, Zane tossed the medicine box to the ground, and looked at Lucia with a gloomy face, "Yanis is my wife, I know better than you do what kind of person she is. Since she has said she and Ivan are just friends, so be it. I don't want to hear such words from you again."

Then, he paused, "Albi will drive you home. If there's nothing important, you shouldn't come over. Yanis doesn't like it."

Zane called Albi, said goodbye to Catherine, and left.

When Zane came out, it was a red light, and Zane could only watch Yanis across the road.

When the traffic light turned green, there was no sight of Yanis.

Zane strode across the road, calling Yanis's name as he walked.

He called but could only hear the busy tone.

He tried several times but it was the same.

Only then did Zane realize that Yanis had blocked his number.

On the other side, Yanis had walked into the shopping mall and bought some daily necessities and some pens before she went to the cashier.

Bonnie came a few minutes early.

After seeing Bonnie's car, Yanis opened the door and got into the passenger seat. "You are fast."

"I just talked to a customer about the design style. I had wanted to go meet you in University of Armstrong, but fortunately I called in advance, otherwise, I might be there by now." Said Bonnie. She turned to look at Yanis, "The seat belt."

Just as Bonnie was about to start the car, she saw the man at the door of the mall, patted Yanis on the shoulder and said, "Isn't that the scumbag?"

Hearing her words, Yanis frowned. She fastened the seat belt and said, "Let's go."

Bonnie was stunned, and looked at the man at the door of the mall again before she started the car and asked, "Did you guys have a quarrel?" "We are going to divorce soon, what's to quarrel about?" Yanis said indifferently, hard to tell her feelings.
