Chapter 179: Did She Really Like You?

Chapter 179: Did She Really Like You?

When Mia heard Bonnie's words, she stroked her long and slightly curly hair. "Yeah, for Myles."

Mia didn't hide anything, and she admitted it directly.

Bonnie smiled. "Go for it."

Mia narrowed her eyes as she looked at Bonnie. "Aren't you as protective as you were when you were little? Don't you see him as your own anymore?"

"As you said, it was when I was little. Whatever I did back then, I did as a child, doing whatever that I wanted to do, and I didn't have to think about anything else." While speaking, Bonnie paused. "But now that I'm older, older Bonnie has learned to be understanding. Now that you're back for Myles, it's good. I'm giving you a chance."

Mia looked at Bonnie in shock.

Bonnie looked her straight in the eye. "What? You worked your ass off when I didn't give you the chance. Now that I do, why don't you just take it?"

Mia chuckled. "Bonnie, you really do impress me no matter in what situation."

Bonnie laughed. "I bet you do."

"Well, thank you for that. I want to invite you for dinner sometime, ok?"

"Forget about dinner. You should take your time to make Myles stop only thinking about me like he used to, and let him think about you more." "Why didn't you tell that to Myles?"

Bonnie chuckled. "In my mind, you don't mean the same to me as Myles does. I won't tell him what I told you, and you won't know what I told him." Mia's face changed slightly as she heard Bonnie.

Just as she was about to say something, Bonnie didn't give her a chance. "You have a chance. Hold on to it. I'll go to get my phone."

After that, Bonnie turned around and headed to the elevator.

Mia stood at the door of the hospital room for a while, watching Bonnie enter the elevator, and she looked away.

She was not going to lose to Bonnie this time!

"No way!"

Mia turned around and walked into the ward.

Myles didn't eat much and put down his chopsticks already.

"What? Don't you have any appetite? Or has your taste changed because we haven't seen each other for so long?" Mia asks aloud, looking at the untouched food on the table. Myles glanced at the door. "No, I just don't feel like eating."

Mia saw Myles's movement. "Bonnie seems upset. Is she upset because I'm here?"

Myles shook his head. "No, she's not the same girl when she was a kid. She doesn't hate you like before."

Then Myles paused and said, "she was just a kid back then. I'm sure she won't be like that now."

Mia smiled as Myles told her this. "But you're still the same as when you were a little boy. You only care for Bonnie, and you always stand by her."

Myles smiled. "If I don't protect her, she'd get bullied."

Mia smiled and said no more. "Won't you eat anymore? Bonnie just said she wanted to check how much you ate later."

Myles frowned. "I don't have an appetite, so why don't you leave it here and I'll have Bonnie warm it up when I'm hungry."

"It won't taste so good later. If you're hungry, I'll bring you something else later."

"No need. It's too troubling to come back and forth."

Mia looked up at Myles when she heard him. "Myles, don't you think I shouldn't be here?"

Myles looked Mia in the eye for a moment and then said, "no, don't think too much."

Mia looked upset and whispered, "I know it's hard for you, but I was really worried about you, and that's why I came back."

Myles didn't know what to say for a moment.

When he was a kid, he probably took Bonnie's side for no reason because he only wanted her to be happy.

But now he couldn't do that anymore.

After all, they were all grown up now, and they could have said anything when they were little, but now those words sounded like knives, too sharp and mean. Besides, they were adults now, and they could understand each other without saying everything.

"I'm sorry, I..."

"Myles, you don't have to do this. I just wanted to come by and see you, no offense. If Bonnie's upset, I'll do what I did when I was a kid.

Mia then started to clear the table. "I'll leave you alone then."

"Mia, I... Shall I send someone to drive you back?"

Mia laughed. "No, I drove my car here."

Myles tried to say something, but he choked on his words.

Mia gathered her things and looked over at Myles as if she was thinking of something. "Hey, are you going to marry Bonnie?"

Myles shook his head disappointingly when Mia said this. "She doesn't want to get married now."

"Still?"

Myles had been depressed all day because of this. He still felt depressed when she brought it up.

"Mia, do all you girls have a fear of marriage?"

Mia was stunned, then laughed. "Not everyone does, and it's not because they have a fear of getting married, it's probably because they don't like the other person."

At this point, Mia paused a bit and said, "if my crush wanted to marry me, I would definitely say yes. I can't wait to marry him."

Myles was a little distracted by Mia's words. After a long pause, Myles said, "I know."

"What's wrong? Does Bonnie have a premarital phobia?"

Myles shook his head. "I'm just guessing. Every time I bring up marriage to her, she resists it and sometimes gets angry." "Did you ask her why?"

Myles shook his head. "No."

Mia looked at Myles for a moment. "Myles, are you sure you like Bonnie the way that you want to marry her?"

Myles hardly hesitated. "Of course."

"What about Bonnie? Does she like you and get used to having you around because she wants to be with you forever?" Mia's words hit Myles.

"Yeah, why didn't I think of that?"

"She compromised before because of Yanis."

They had been together all these years, but they had never said they were boyfriend and girlfriend.

Bonnie had never said that she liked him...
