Chapter 384 Why Don't You Apologize to Me?

Bonnie glanced at him upon hearing this. "You don't understand."

Evan sighed. "I really don't understand. It's all up to you guys. I'm going back, and no one will keep him company tonight. He will be all by himself."

After speaking, Evan stood up. He was leaving for real. "By the way, Haider is busy tonight, and he won't be coming. Don't worry about him. Whether he's dead or alive, it has nothing to do with you." Seeing that Evan was about to go to the elevator, Bonnie got up and grabbed Evan's clothes.

Evan stopped and looked at her without saying a word.

The two remained in a stalemate for a while. Evan gave up first. He turned around and sat down in the chair again. "Are you going in?"

Bonnie nodded. "Wait for me to collect myself."

Evan laughed gently when he heard the words. "You just go in and see Myles. He's not some guy you've never met. Why do you still need to collect yourself?"

Bonnie took a deep breath. "I'm nervous and a little scared."

When Evan heard Bonnie's words, he glanced at her face.

To Evan's understanding, Bonnie was a rich lady who had never suffered hardships since she was a child. Although the parents' affairs caused her some trauma, the old Mr. Cooke was very fond of Bonnie. Besides, Myles could die for her. So, put it all together, Bonnie didn't suffer many grievances.

And in his memory, Bonnie had always been tough.

He just didn't expect that Bonnie would have fear now.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Bonnie looked at Evan with displeasure.

Evan coughed lightly, then changed the subject. He asked, "Are you hungry?"

Bonnie shook her head. "I'm not hungry."

After answering Evan's words, Bonnie suddenly remembered something and looked at Evan. "Has he eaten anything?"

Evan looked helpless. "If you don't eat, do you think he will eat? I think you two will starve to death together and enjoy your love life in the heaven."

When Bonnie heard this, she immediately stood up. "Go and buy some food!"

Evan said, "Miss Cooke, am I your servant?"

Bonnie directly stretched out her hand and pulled him up from the chair. "Hurry up, buy some light food."

Evan was forced to stand up. He had no choice but to respond, "Okay, you go in and have a look first, or the man inside can't hang in there."

Bonnie snorted. When she raised her hand to hold the doorknob of the ward, she stopped again and turned to look at Evan who hadn't left yet. "Is there something on my face?"

Evan looked up at her. "No, you look great."

Bonnie looked at him suspiciously. "Really?"

"Really! You go in quickly, and I'll buy you something to eat."

After finishing speaking, Evan walked to the elevator.

After Evan turned and left, Bonnie took a deep breath and was about to push open the door, but the door opened from the inside first.

Myles stood there, looking at Bonnie who was standing at the door.

They were facing each other, and all the emotions were surging up.

It was clear that they hadn't seen each other for only one night, but it felt like a long time.

Myles was still holding the doorknob, looking at Bonnie standing in front of him. Especially when he saw her red and swollen eyes that hadn't gone away from crying, his heart throbbed with pain. He pursed his dry lips and wanted to say something. But when he opened his mouth with hoarseness, he didn't say a word.

Evan glanced in their direction when he entered the elevator and happened to meet Myles's eyes.

Evan waved his hands at Myles, motioning for him to pull her in.

Myles ignored Evan and looked back at Bonnie who was standing at the door.

"You..."

"You..."

The two spoke at about the same time and stopped at about the same time.

Bonnie bit her lips and directly raised her hand to push him in. "Why can't you go easy on yourself?" Although what she said sounded a bit aggressive, the concern in the words was still evident. Myles stood at the door in a daze and then closed the door behind him. "Bonnie, I..."

"Don't think too much, my grandpa asked me to come, otherwise I wouldn't."

Before Myles could finish speaking, Bonnie interrupted Myles's words.

Myles suddenly didn't know what to say.

The room fell into a very strange atmosphere for a while.

For a long time, no one spoke.

But after a while, there was a sound of the stomach growling.

Only then did Myles remember what Evan had just said. Bonnie sat outside all day without drinking a sip of water or eating anything.

At first, Myles was still angry, so he didn't go out. But God knows how many times he carefully glanced at the door of the ward without wearing shoes.

He was waiting for Bonnie to come in and apologize first.

But he knew there was a 90% chance that Bonnie would never come in first.

The two had a standoff like this.

It had been like this all day.

"There is food Evan bought here. You can eat some first."

Myles turned around and took some food, placed it on the table, then stepped forward and stretched out his hand to pull Bonnie over.

Bonnie looked at the food on the table. Basically, it was all her favorite.

After staring at the pile of food for a while, Bonnie raised her head to look at him and called out gently. "Myles."

"Um?"

Bonnie hesitated for a few seconds, then turned and hugged Myles, speaking in a muffled voice, "Why don't you apologize to me?"

Before Myles recovered from Bonnie's embrace, he heard Bonnie said this.

It was clearly a question, but Myles could hear a bit of grievance in Bonnie's words.

Myles couldn't help laughing. He was clearly the one who should be wronged, and why did she ask for an apology?

But Myles didn't care, he raised his hand and pressed the woman into his arms. "Then what if I don't apologize?" Bonnie sniffed. "Then I apologize."

Myles's body froze. He let go of her and looked down at the woman in his arms.

Bonnie's eyes were misty, and she burst into tears as if she had suffered a great grievance. "I'm sorry."

"Bonnie..."

"Myles, I'm sorry."

Bonnie said sorry twice in a row.

All the anger Myles felt was gone.

He only felt distressed.

Holding her tightly in his arms, he said, "Bonnie, don't say sorry. It's my fault. I shouldn't leave you alone in the car crying like that."

When Bonnie heard this, she cried even louder.

Before Myles could comfort her, the door of the ward was pushed open.

The nurse stood at the door dumbfounded and watched all of it.

Myles coughed lightly. "Er... My girlfriend loves me."

The nurse said, "Then you're fine, aren't you?"

Myles shook his head. "I'm totally ok!"

The nurse nodded, and then glanced at Bonnie who was crying in Myles's arms. "Didn't you mistreat her?"
