I Become A CEO After Divorce
Chapter 601: Could It Be That Your Father Has A Secret Child Outside?

Chapter 601: Could it be that your father has a secret child outside?

Myles was feeling a bit helpless. "I really can't just ignore this situation," he said.

Foster looked at Myles and asked, "What do you mean?"

Myles raised his eyebrows towards where Yanis was standing. "That's my wife's best friend. If anything happens tonight, I could get killed when I get home."

Myles then looked back at Foster and whispered, "And she's Zane's lover. You went a little too far with what you said earlier."

When Foster heard Myles' last sentence, his brow furrowed immediately. "She's with him? Does that mean the kid is his brother-in-law?"

Myles paused for a few seconds before responding, "You could say that."

Foster sneered coldly and said, "Well then Mr. Myles, I'm sorry, but I can't do you a favor tonight anymore. I'll personally come over to apologize another day, but for now please don't interfere."

Upon hearing this remark from Foster, Myles cocked an eyebrow arrogantly and asked him casually: "What? Are you planning on detaining him?"

Foster glared coldly at Zane as he replied in an icy tone of voice: "He is under contract with me; if he decides to change his mind last minute and walk away, it will cost him money - not only that, but he has already received an advance payment of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars."

"Foster," Zane suddenly spoke up in a low voice,"Are you really going to exploit someone so young? Do you have no shame?"

To which Foster retorted immediately: "I don't care about having any shame! What are YOU going to do about it?"

The tension between the two men escalated quickly.

It seemed like they were about ready to start fighting each other.

Myles signaled Evan with his eyes.

Evan understood what Myle meant; he stepped forward and hooked onto Foster's arm gently while saying softly: "Come on now Fos... we're both over thirty years old here... why are we acting like impulsive teenagers who lose their temper so easily?"

Foster tried pulling Evan's hand off of him, but Evan refused to let go.

"Are y'all here tonight just trying to stir up some trouble?" questioned Foster.

"Just looking for someone," said Myler as if nothing had happened earlier," How much money do you need? Zane will cover your loss. We just want to take him with us. Let's have have drink someday. I'll thank you for your help."

"Fine." Foster agreed after staring down Myler for several seconds," Except for the 150 grand advance payment Mitch received beforehand. According to our contract, if he works less than three months, then there will be penalty fees totaling three million dollars."

Myler couldn't help but curse under her breath upon hearing this amount demanded by Forster." Are y'all robbing?"

Forster waved over one of the guys, "Go grab Mitch's contract."

"Yes sir."Soon, the man brought over a contract.

"Take a look, these are his own signature," he said.

Zane glanced at Foster and snatched the contract from his hand. He carefully read through it and found that there were no complicated clauses, just some instructions and details about the signing period and penalty for breach of contract.

Indeed, it was three hundred thousand dollars with a small note below stating an advance payment of one hundred fifty thousand dollars.

After reading it, Zane looked at Foster. "How many days has he worked here?"

"Just three days," replied Foster provocatively. "If you don't have that much money, then let him work here for three months until he pays back 150 thousand dollars before leaving."

The situation in Foster's establishment was special; every three months they would shuffle their employees again.

Even if Mitch worked there, he could only do so for three months before having to replace another job elsewhere.

Since other places wouldn't hire someone who had come from the Underground Market - after all, the Underground Market didn't sound like a good place to work in or come out of, since people who did were usually not good people either.

"I'll pay the three million plus 150 thousand dollars; I'll take him with me," Zane said straightforwardly without hesitation.

Foster hadn't expected Zane to be so generous and stared at him for several seconds before saying sarcastically: "With your attitude like this towards me, I think that kid isn't your brother-in-law, but rather your father's illegitimate child outside."

Myles thought that Foster could be enemy with Zane, just because of his mouth, which always seemed to be asking for trouble.

This time Foster was prepared but still couldn't stop himself from getting kicked hard by Zane's foot.

It took Myles several seconds, along with Evan and Allan, who had been watching on the side, to regain their senses.

Myles knew Zane well enough as they had known each other for quite some time now, but never saw him act impulsively like this before - perhaps before those people were not someone like Foster, whose mouth always asked for trouble, so they didn't trigger his impulse easily.

Soon both men started fighting each other, which alarmed Yanis, who was talking to Mitch nearby.

Yanis saw that it was Zane fighting someone else, so she told Mitch not to move while she quickly walked towards them.

Foster also had quick reflexes as well as agility; after being kicked by Zane's foot, he naturally fought back even harder.

"Zane!" Yanis called out.

But Zane had no intention of paying attention to Yanis at the moment. He was solely focused on teaching Foster a lesson, and he seemed to be carrying some unidentifiable emotions with him as well. Myles and Evan were unable to hold Zane back, even though Foster was skilled in combat. In the end, it took all three of them to separate the two brawling men.

In that short amount of time, both men had sustained injuries. Zane's lips were bleeding and his face had been punched. Foster's face didn't show any visible wounds, but he had gritted his teeth when Zane kicked him earlier.

After being hit several times in the same spot, Foster felt like cursing out all of Zane's ancestors. However, he knew better than anyone that if he fought one-on-one with Zane again, he wouldn't stand a chance against this ruthless man who never show any mercy when things got serious.

Before this fight broke out between them, Foster had been thinking about how much more powerful and unstoppable Zane would be if he didn't bother with running his family business like a proper CEO, but instead lived a life as recklessly as they did in Manches City - there would be no one who could challenge him then!

Thinking about this, Foster realized something: deep down inside there still existed some "filial piety" within him - something which prompted him to take over their family business after all these years, which left them a chance to make a living in Manches City.

After Myles and Evan managed to pull Zane away, Yanis looked at her friend anxiously before asking: "Are you okay?"

Zanes' icy gaze softened slightly upon meeting Yanis' concerned eyes; his voice became gentler too when responding back: "I'm fine... Did you talk things through with Mitch yet?"

Yanis shook her head slowly before answering: "Not yet."

Mitch has been staying here for over a month now because Marnon's health condition hasn't improved. The money Yanis left to them earlier has already run dry by now after paying off the medical bills in the hospital in Hill District of Viteto.
