Chapter 605 Yanis, I'm not in pain, no need to be careful

Since Yanis moved into the studio, Zane had never been to Yanis's room before. This was his first time entering it. At a glance, he could see everything in the room, and Yanis had kept everything clean and tidy.

"You sit for a while, I'll go get the medicine box," said Yanis.

Zane nodded and obediently sat on the chair by the table. Yanis took off her coat and hung it aside before turning around to head towards Bonnie's place to fetch the medicine box.

However, as soon as she reached the stairs, she met Bonnie, who was wearing her pajamas.

The two of them locked their eyes on the stairs. "Where are you going?" asked Bonnie.

"I'm going to your place to get the medicine box," replied Yanis.

As soon as she heard it, Bonnie looked at her directly and asked with concern: "Are you injured?"

Yanis shook her head. "Not me."

When she heard this, her gaze shifted past Yanis towards her room door, where she took a quick look before asking: "Did you bring someone back? Aren't you afraid that Zane will feel wronged again?" Yanis cleared her throat lightly. "It's just him."

Bonnie softened a bit after hearing that name mentioned by Yanis: "Zane?"

Yanis nodded in response.

"Oh," said Bonnie, before turning around: "The medicine- box is in my office cabinet on your right side; go ahead and take it yourself because I'm going to bed now." Yanis followed her and said, "What do you want to see me about?"

Bonnie stopped walking and leaned over the banister to look at Yanis. "It's okay. I just wanted to have a small talk, but I don't want to talk right now. I'm just going to sleep." And she added, "I'm smart; I don't want to get in your way."

Yanis didn't know how else to respond but simply said: "Alright then; you go sleep now - I'll help him with some medication, so he can leave."

Bonnie originally intended on continuing upstairs, but upon hearing what was just said by Yanis, she ran back down instead and walked up to Yanis. "Nope! You brought someone home late at night just for some medication? Is every pharmacy outside closed or did they run out of stock? Or maybe this guy has no arms or legs? Or perhaps Albi went off exploring space somewhere far away?"

All these questions left poor Yannis momentarily stunned until he finally regained enough composure to ask calmly: "What are you trying to say exactly?" Bonnie felt a sense of powerlessness at Yanis being a fool. "You're not planning on getting back with him, are you? You're almost healed now," she said. After listening to Bonnie's words, Yanis seemed to understand something and stared at her for a while before saying, "What are you thinking about all day?" Bonnie choked up and said, "Never mind. They say the main character doesn't need to be in a hurry; it's the bystanders who die of anxiety!"

With that, Bonnie snorted and went upstairs.

Yanis stood there watching Bonnie leave, her brows furrowed slightly.

Although Bonnie's words were not straightforward, Yanis understood what she meant.

Men and women together were inevitably about these things.

But she didn't want it right now. It was better to take things step by step.

Yanis didn't dwell on what Bonnie had said, but instead took the medicine box upstairs directly.

When he got upstairs, Zane was still sitting quietly in a chair, but holding the photo she had brought from D-king Castle for the first time in her hands. The photo had been reframed since then. When Yanis saw Zane holding the frame in his hands, she paused briefly before approaching nonchalantly. "If you want it back, take it," she said without any fuss, "I almost forgot it."

Zane hesitated slightly upon hearing Yanis' voice, but then placed the frame where it was originally positioned. "Let it stay here for now."

Without saying anything more about that matter, Yanis walked over and placed the medicine box on top of the table."Go wash your face first; I'll help apply some ointment so that your face won't swell tomorrow morning, or else you won't be able to go to work," she advised gently.

She couldn't let Zane go out with an injured face like that because people would talk badly behind his backs, which could affect Zane's reputation as CEO.

Zane hummed and got up and stood up.

Yanis caught Zane's eye for a moment and asked, "What's wrong?"

Only after realizing how long he'd been staring did Yanis respond awkwardly: "Oh... the bathroom is over there." She motioned towards where exactly he should go.

Zane nodded again before walking away towards where the bathroom was located. He took off his coat and quickly placed it onto one chair.

After finishing the washing, he came out promptly, and some water droplets still remained on his face.

Yanis glanced over and turned to enter the restroom. She grabbed two face towels and came out to help Zane dry his face. Then she took some medicine from the first aid kit and began treating his wound. The distance between them was very close, with Zane tilting his head slightly up, able to see the fine hairs on Yanis's face clearly.

Yanis's shallow breath sprayed onto his face, tickling him so much that Zane couldn't help but swallow hard.

Yanis didn't notice Zane's little movements and was very serious about helping him clean the wound. Her strength was light, afraid of accidentally hurting him. "Yanis."

Suddenly, Zane called out.

Hearing Zane's voice, Yanis stopped and looked at him. "Did I hurt you?"

She asked as she looked at him.

Zane shook his head. "No pain. You don't have to be so careful; I'm not in pain."

Yanis nodded her head before saying: "Then don't move around."

Zane replied with a sound before sitting upright for Yanis to treat his wounds properly.

"What did you call me for just now?" Yanis asked while applying medicine on the wound.

Zane wanted to say something, but looking at Yanis' pale pink lips made it difficult for words to come out of his mouth easily.

After being silent for a few seconds he finally said: "I just wanted to call your name."

Upon hearing this answer from Zane, Yanis hesitated slightly but didn't say anything more.

After quickly treating the wound, Yanis stood up straight again.

Because they had maintained their posture all along, Yanishad twisted her eyebrows when she stood up straight suddenly.

When Yaniss frowned, Zanes warm hands were immediately placed on her waist.

"I'll massage it for you," he said softly.

Yannis froze momentarily when she felt this action from Zane's hand. After massaging it a few times, she relaxed slightly, "Okay... it feels better now."

Although Zane's movement stopped, after hearing Yannis response, he was still holding onto Yannis tightly without letting go. The two of them held each other in such an ambiguous position like this, which lasted quite some time.

Their eyes met, and there were waves of emotion surging beneath their surface..

"Yannis,"Zanes voice sounded deep as he called out again.
