Chapter 677: Yanis, I didn't touch them.

Albi didn't waste any time and got into the car, driving towards D-king Castle. Yanis got out of the car first and went inside.

There was a new auntie in the house, who came shortly after Yanis mentioned it to Zane last time. "Mr. Lawrence, Mrs. Lawrence, you're back," she said. Yanis nodded and changed his shoes at the entrance. "You can rest once you've finished tidying up," he said to the auntie.

The auntie nodded and replied, "Yes, Mrs. Lawrence."

Zane followed behind Yanis with his things in hand and handed them over to the auntie before changing his shoes and catching up with Yanis.

Yanis walked into the living room and poured himself a glass of water before turning around to face Zane. "Can we talk?" he asked.

Zane hesitated for a moment but then nodded in agreement saying, "Sure."

After acknowledging him, Zane looked at the auntie again saying: "You can go rest now." The astute Auntie left them alone in an empty living room.

One stood by a table while another stood in front of him at some distance away from each other; one sat on a couch while another remained standing still without moving an inch for some time until Yanis broke their silence asking: "Aren't you going to sit down?"

Zane moved aside slightly before standing right in front of Yanis saying: "Let's stand for a bit."

After agreeing with him verbally that they should talk now that they were both present there together; however Zane's self-punishment stance made Yanis want to laugh inwardly as he spoke calmly: "Mr. Lawrence do you know what I want to talk about or do I have to tell you myself?" If Albi hadn't shown him that message just now then perhaps Zane would still be confused as ever but now he knew exactly why Yanis was suddenly angry with him like this.

Before this incident happened though, Zane had wanted to bring it up earlier but due busy schedules on both ends, the matter wasn't resolved promptly enough which led Kellan having no limits whatsoever sending those photos directly into Yani's hands. Zanes thought about how best explain himself after hearing what Yani had just said:"Yanish, I don't know how else I could explain what happened that day so... I..."

"Just tell me honestly."After Yanis finished speaking, she seemed to remember something and picked up her phone, flipping through the previous photos. "Just explain this," she said.

When Zane saw the photo on Yanis's phone, he furrowed his brow slightly. "Yanis, I didn't touch them."

"What about the details?"

Zane thought back carefully to that afternoon and then confessed everything to Yanis in detail. After he finished speaking, he held his breath for a moment, afraid that Yanis wouldn't believe him. But no one could testify what happened in the room that day. Even Zane wasn't aware of what had happened inside or when those photos were taken. He couldn't even be sure of all the details himself. Although he was certain that he hadn't touched those two women, his conviction lacked persuasiveness in front of Yanis.

Seeing that Yanis remained silent for a while made Zane nervous. "Yanis, I really didn't-"

"I just felt uncomfortable when I saw these photos," interrupted Yanis.

Zane stopped talking abruptly as soon as he heard her voice.

"Zane," continued Yanis after a pause. "I'm not trying to ignore you or pick a fight with you over this."

After experiencing so much turmoil recently, all she wanted was some peace and stability in her life. But it seemed like fate had other plans for her.

This incident had been brewing for some time now but because both of them had learned from their past impulsive behavior during difficult times they were able to handle it calmly now despite others' instigations against them.

As long as they explained things clearly and honestly like they did now it wasn't such a big deal after all - just another misunderstanding between two people who cared about each other deeply enough not to let anything come between them anymore

So after listening patiently while Zane explained everything thoroughly about what happened on that day; without asking any more questions or making any accusations towards him; she simply deleted those pictures from her phone before saying: "Let's go take shower and get some sleep."Zane noticed that Yanis' expression had softened a bit, and the weight on his shoulders finally lifted.

"I'll go help you run a bath," he said.

Yanis couldn't help but think of Zane back when they were in Viteto, always so organized and prepared for everything. She watched him hurry up the stairs as if afraid she might change her mind, and chuckled softly to herself.

She followed him up to the bathroom, and once they got talking without any barriers between them, they fell asleep in each other's arms just like before.

Zane was careful not to make any inappropriate moves throughout the night; he simply held onto Yanis tightly all night long.

The next morning, Yanis was woken up by her phone ringing. She searched around for it but couldn't replace it anywhere until Zane woke up and reached over to grab it from where it lay beside her. He answered the call then turned towards Yanis with a gentle pat on her arm saying "Go back to sleep for a bit longer; I'll go take care of this."

Yanis wasn't really sleepy anymore anyway so she snuggled into Zane's embrace instead saying "You can answer your call; I'm awake now."

Zane glanced at his phone screen which showed Albi calling before answering with an "What is it?"

"Mr. Lawrence, I've made some progress on what you asked me to do." Albi replied.

"Come pick me up then." Zane hung up after giving instructions.

Albi arrived twenty minutes later while Zane was getting ready downstairs looking positively radiant from last night's events. Albi wondered how Mr. Lawrence managed not to get beaten down last night? "What are you thinking about?" asked Zane as he approached Albi by the car door with a friendly pat on his shoulder.

Albi snapped out of his thoughts immediately upon feeling that touch, "Mr. Lawrence seems happy today."

Zane nodded in agreement as he got into the car after thanking him again for coming over.

As soon as they left together, Yanis sat upright asking if there was anything wrong or if something urgent came up.

"Nope," replied Zanesmilingly, "just work stuff."
