Chapter 749: Going to the Hospital Tomorrow

Bonnie took a step forward and glanced inside before turning to Yanis. "Let me handle replaceing someone. I know some people who can act quickly."

Yanis didn't respond to Bonnie's words directly. Instead, she looked at her and asked, "I asked you a question. Weren't you supposed to rest at home? Why did you come here?"

"I asked Ivan to bring me along," Bonnie replied, nodding towards the side. "He called me this morning to ask about yesterday's situation, so I had him bring me here."

Following Bonnie's gaze, Yanis looked to the side and spotted Ivan approaching. "Ivan."

Ivan acknowledged her with a nod, his gaze fixed on her. "Are you seriously injured?"

"I'm fine, but Bonnie got hurt worse. I told her to rest at home, but she doesn't listen," Yanis replied.

Ivan stepped forward and reached out to pull Bonnie towards him. "It's alright, I'll take her back."

Bonnie protested, "Ivan, Ivan, calm down. We're here now, don't give in so easily."

Ivan chuckled and released Bonnie, then turned to Yanis and asked, "Has the police made any progress?"

Yanis responded to Ivan's question, saying, "They're still investigating, but it's highly likely connected to Ahmed's family. We'll have to wait for the police to provide their final results."

Ivan nodded. "Then let's wait for the police's conclusion. Both of you are injured, and it's chaotic if you're running around."

"Ivan, you should tell Yanis that. Look at her injuries. She looks terrifying, yet she came to the shop so early, as if she hadn't been hurt at all," Bonnie chimed in.

Ivan turned to Bonnie, raising an eyebrow. "You act as if you're better than her."

Bonnie hesitated for a moment. "No, Ivan, you seem a bit off today. What's going on? Have you learned how to argue with people?"

Ivan cleared his throat. "Have I? I'm not usually like this?"

Bonnie shook her head. "Usually, you're so gentle. Today, you feel different."

Ivan raised his hand and ruffled Bonnie's hair. "I'm still the same. I've always been like this, nothing has changed."

Suddenly, both Yanis and Bonnie looked at Ivan at the same time.

Ivan noticed their gaze and furrowed his brows. "What's with your looks? What's wrong?"

"Ivan, you... I also feel like something's off with you," Yanis said, looking at Ivan.

Ivan's smile faded a bit. "It's just your imagination. I came here to check on you both. I was busy at the company yesterday, and by the time I found out about your accident, it was already midnight. That's why I didn't call or come to see you."

"There's nothing to see. Why are you looking like that?" Bonnie turned around and looked at Linda, who was cleaning up nearby. "Linda, did Wendy not come today?"

Linda responded, "Wendy said Alfie had a fever, so she probably went to the hospital this morning."

Bonnie acknowledged with a sound, "You guys go ahead and chat. I'll go inside to replace something to take back later."

After greeting Yanis and Ivan, Bonnie turned around and left.

As soon as Bonnie left, Ivan immediately turned to Yanis. "Bonnie seems off. What's going on between her and Myles?"

"They broke up," Yanis didn't hide anything from Ivan and answered truthfully.

Upon hearing Yanis' words, Ivan furrowed his brow. "Is it serious this time?"

Yanis nodded. "Judging by their attitudes, it seems serious. I spoke to Myles on the phone last night, and he was quite determined."

"Myles cared so much about Bonnie before. Now, if he's so resolute, it must be serious. What could cause them to reach this point?" Ivan wondered.

Yanis couldn't disclose the details of the matter to Ivan. "It's something, but I can't tell you."

Ivan nodded. "I understand. Everyone has their own difficult-to-share matters."

When Yanis heard Ivan's words, she looked up at him. "Ivan, earlier Bonnie mentioned that you're acting strange too. Did you and Mila have a fight?"

Ivan smiled and said, "How is that possible? What could we argue about?"

"Then are you two in a quarrel?" Yanis asked.

"Isn't arguing and being in a quarrel the same thing?" Ivan replied.

Yanis chuckled and said, "When you argue, you raise your voice in anger, but when you're in a quarrel, it's usually a smaller issue compared to a full-blown argument."

After listening to Yanis, Ivan couldn't help but laugh and said, "Oh, so now you want to become a relationship expert?"

Yanis chuckled and asked, "Seriously, is everything okay?"

Ivan nodded and said, "Everything's fine."

Since Ivan didn't elaborate, Yanis didn't ask further.

Ivan had come to check on Yanis and Bonnie's situation, thinking he could help at the shop, but now it seemed he wasn't needed. So after chatting with Yanis for a while, he headed to the Bexter Group. Bonnie's contact was indeed fast. Shortly after making the call, the person she had contacted arrived and quickly set up a partition, preparing for construction.

Yanis looked at Bonnie and asked, "Should I call you a car to go home and rest?"

Bonnie shook her head and replied, "No need to go back now. We'll figure it out later. Do you have any plans?"

Yanis shook her head and said, "I don't have anything planned. I'm waiting for Albi to come and pick me up. I'll go straight home then."

"In that case, I'll catch a ride with you later. I'll just stay here for now," Bonnie suggested.

Yanis agreed with a nod.

The two of them stood silently at the entrance, watching the workers move things out from inside.

"Yanis, I plan to go to the hospital tomorrow," Bonnie suddenly said in a low voice.

Upon hearing Bonnie's words, Yanis turned to her and asked, "Have you made up your mind?"

Bonnie nodded and said, "Yes, I've made up my mind. Since the shop is closed tomorrow and I don't have to come here, it's a good opportunity to take a break. I've been running this shop for so many years without much rest. This time, I'll treat it as a long vacation for myself and take the time to recuperate."

"That's good. Consider it a well-deserved break for yourself," Yanis replied. Then she looked at Bonnie and asked, "What about the clients here?"

"I've temporarily rented a small apartment nearby. Linda and Stanley can take care of some things over there. I have work in my hands as well, so it won't be delayed," Bonnie explained.

Yanis nodded and said, "That sounds good. If the workers here are efficient, things will be back to normal soon."

Bonnie agreed, saying, "You have nothing to do these next few days, so take care of the shop and make it look better. Do a one-time makeover."

Yanis responded, "Sure, I'll sketch a design tonight and give them a construction plan."

Bonnie nodded and added, "By the way, I heard that Iris and Anika are making progress?"

"Hmm?" Yanis turned her head to look at Bonnie. "Who did you hear that from?"

"From Old Duncan. He came to our house last night and was talking to Old Cooke. I overheard them saying that the Old Duncan seems quite satisfied with Anika," Bonnie revealed.
