Chapter 849: Allan Is Actually a Good Person

When Allan heard Marnon's words, he quickly understood the meaning behind them. If he truly chose Reed, he would have to take on the responsibility of taking care of Mia and the others. "You don't really object to me being with Reed?" Allan asked.

Marnon replied, "If this were before, I would definitely object, but now I don't have a strong stance against it. As long as you treat Reed well and make her happy, nothing else matters."

In the past, Marnon would never have agreed to let Allan be with Reed. But now, all she wanted was someone to take care of Reed and the others in the future. Even if she were to leave one day, she wouldn't worry so much.

"If you trust me, I will take good care of them," Allan assured her.

Marnon nodded. "Thank you."

This was the second time Marnon had thanked Allan in this short period of time.

"Well, I should go now. Mitch might get angry if he sees me here," Allan said.

Marnon nodded again. "Go ahead, and come with Reed next time."

Upon hearing that, Allan nodded. "Sure."

Just as Allan left, Mitch arrived.

Marnon didn't mention Allan's visit in front of Mitch. However, the nurse and Mitch were familiar with each other, and a few words were exchanged during their chat.

Mitch returned to the ward and placed a cup of warm water on the bedside cabinet for Marnon. "Mom, did Allan come earlier?"

Marnon looked at Mitch and asked, "How did you know?"

"It seems he really came. What did he say?" Mitch looked at Marnon and asked.

Marnon took a few sips of water from the cup. "Mitch, Allan is actually a good person."

Mitch didn't immediately respond to Marnon's words.

"There's something I haven't told you all before, right?" Mitch looked at Marnon, waiting for her to continue.

Marnon repeated the story of how Allan had helped Reed in front of Mitch.

After hearing Marnon's words, Mitch remained silent for a while. He had no knowledge of this incident at all. He hadn't imagined that Reed had gone through such a situation back then. If it weren't for Allan, Mitch didn't dare to imagine what might have happened to Reed.

"So, Mitch, the Millers owe Allan a debt of gratitude," Marnon said softly.

Mitch remained silent for a few seconds. "I know, I'll remember," he finally responded.

Marnon sighed. "Mitch, once the test results come out, let's go together and listen. If things improve, let's go home, okay?"

"Mom, I told you before, the doctor said you have to stay in the hospital..."

"Mitch, Mom is not clueless. I know a lot of things. I don't want to stay in the hospital all the time. I want to spend more time with you all, not just in the hospital."

Mitch wanted to say something but was interrupted by Marnon.

After a brief moment of silence, Mitch said, "Let's see how things go after the test results come out."

Marnon nodded. "Alright."

Mitch had no intention of telling Marnon about what happened to Reed yesterday.

After spending some time at the hospital, Mitch headed to the Lawrence Group.

Reed woke up around noon.

Yanis looked up upon hearing his voice. "Awake?"

Reed nodded and asked as he descended the stairs, "Yanis, where is my brother?"

"Do you mean Allan or your brother?" Yanis asked.

Reed replied somewhat awkwardly, "Of course, I mean my brother."

"Your brother went to the hospital to bring food for your mom, and Allan had something to take care of. He might come a bit later," Yanis informed Reed about Mitch's and Allan's whereabouts. After hearing Yanis' words, Reed nodded.

Yanis looked at Reed and softly asked, "Are you hungry?"

Reed shook his head. "Not really."

Yanis glanced at the time and said, "Eat a little. Shall I cook noodles or porridge for you?"

"Noodles," Reed replied, getting up and following Yanis towards the kitchen.

As Reed caught up with Yanis, he asked, "Yanis, what do you think... Will my mom be angry if she replaces out about me and Allan?"

Yanis busied herself with the ingredients and said, "Why don't you talk to your mom first?"

Reed stood beside Yanis, watching her cook noodles, and said, "I'm not sure. I'm afraid she'll think I'm still young or that Allan and I are incompatible in many ways, whether it's age, lifestyle, or something else. "You haven't even mentioned it to her. How do you know she won't agree?" Yanis shook her head.

Reed shook his head. "I dare not."

Yanis paused and looked at Reed. "What if your mom doesn't approve? What will you do then?"

After a moment of silence upon hearing Yanis' question, Reed shook his head again. "I don't know."

Yanis spoke up, "So, before you even know what the result will be, you can try talking to your mom, share her thoughts with you. Or you can discuss it with her first. If she really doesn't agree, you can ask her the reason why she's unwilling."

Reed took a deep breath and said softly, "I'll try another day."

Yanis acknowledged with a sound.

Yanis cooked the noodles for Reed. After he finished eating, they both left together. One went back to D-king Castle, while the other went to the hospital.

After returning to D-king Castle, Yanis sent a message to Zane, informing him.

Then, she changed her clothes and drove to the store.

"Yanis, a customer has been waiting for you for half an hour!" Linda's voice came from the door as soon as she parked her car.

Yanis turned to look at Linda, who was standing at the entrance. "Why didn't you give me a call?"

"The customer said she could wait," Linda replied.

Yanis looked at Linda with a mysterious expression. "Someone familiar?"

Linda said, "You'll know once you go in."

Yanis entered the store and was surprised when she saw Sandy sitting on the sofa with Bonnie. "Sandy?"

Upon hearing Yanis' voice, Sandy stood up from the sofa. "Yanis, it's been a long time! I've missed you so much!" Sandy went straight towards Yanis.

Yanis reached out and caught her. "When did you come? Why didn't you give me a heads-up?"

Sandy said, "I was actually planning to call you, but Bonnie said you were busy making babies..." "Sandy!"

Sandy's words were cut off by Bonnie's shout.

Even though Sandy's words were cut off halfway, Yanis understood the meaning behind them. She turned her gaze towards Bonnie. "Miss Cooke, your rumors are going too far." Bonnie laughed. "Then where were you this morning? You didn't come to the store and didn't say anything." Bonnie pulled Sandy back to the seat, then said, "Something happened with Reed, so I went over there."
