I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin) -
Chapter 452 Jealousy
Harper furrowed her brows, staring at Annie with a puzzled expression, wondering what was going on. Annie, however, pretended not to understand, saying, "Hurry up and return the call!"
With that, she turned and left, leaving them behind in silence.
Harper pressed her lips and looked at Frank, saying, "Frank, I'll go make a call first. As for what you just said, I appreciate your kindness." "Alright, go ahead," he replied, nodding faintly with a nearly emotionless expression.
A second after Harper left, a cold indifference appeared on his face.
No matter how he put it, she wouldn't agree.
This made Frank wonder if Benjamin said something to her.
Frank squinted, a hint of cunning coldness flashing in his eyes.

Harper returned to her office and casually closed the door, asking. "What was that all about just now?" "What do you mean?"
"You said Benjamin called me?"
"Yeah, he did. You don't believe me? Check your phone."
Harper picked up her phone and checked the call logs. Indeed, Benjamin had called.
As Harper returned the call, she asked Annie, "Is everything okay with him?"
"I guess," Annie replied nonchalantly, then added, "But I did badmouth you."
That made Harper speechless.
Harper was puzzled, but Benjamin's voice came through the phone. "Done with your chat?" "Yeah."
"Did you enjoy chatting with your suitor?"
His low voice was tinged with evident displeasure.
She hesitated for a moment, subconsciously glancing at Annie, the troublemaker who was smiling at her.
She told Benjamin. "I wasn't chatting. We were just discussing work."
"So, is the suitor Frank?"
30, is
Harper was speechless.
Benjamin sighed coldly, "What am I going to do with you?"
Although his words were cold, his tone carried a hint of helplessness.
Harper said, "Annie made it up; you can retaliate against her."
She had no choice but to have Annie take a shot for her this time.
But since it was inconvenient over the phone, Harper didn't continue to explain.
Naturally, Benjamin minded.
He said lightly, "Write a five-hundred-word reflection."
Harper felt somewhat helpless, lightly pressing her lips. "Did you forget what Paul said last night?"
"So, are you threatening me?"
"Sort of."
Benjamin smiled faintly. "With Grandpa's support, you're fearless now?"
"Aren't you going to listen to what he said?" Harper asked.
He compromised. "I am. If I don't, you're going to get Grandpa to replace you a new husband."
Harper was speechless, then immediately changed the subject. If they continued this conversation, she might end up being in the wrong again.
She asked, "So, what did you call me about just now?"
"It's about the design competition. If this matter isn't resolved before the second round starts, there may be some unusual opinions. I know you won't withdraw from the competition or give up halfway, so I wanted you to be mentally prepared." This was the second time someone had mentioned this to her today.
But while the former hoped to replace her as the architect to ensure her smooth participation, the latter wanted her to be prepared for unusual opinions.
In comparison, many people might choose the former.
But she would choose the latter without hesitation.
Everyone would grow up eventually, and no one could rely on another person forever.
Harper's expression turned serious, and she said, "I understand. Don't worry."
"Just saying you understand won't cut it. If it really affects your mood, I'll make you withdraw from the competition. Then, you can't blame me for it, okay?" He stated the ugly truth upfront, not wanting her to be upset after it happened.
