I Refuse to Divorce! -
Chapter 141
Mason only slept for three hours.
When he woke up, he was still tightly embracing Zoe. Her silk nightgown was slightly disheveled, revealing her shoulder in the soft morning light.
She was still in his arms.
Mason lowered his head, pressing his face against the nape of her neck. It was a comforting warmth.
After a tender moment, he got up.
In the morning, there was an important bidding meeting at the company that he had to attend.
Mason freshened up and changed into a new outfit. As he was knotting his tie, he walked back to the bedroom. Zoe was awake, sitting at the bedside
in a daze. When she heard his footsteps, she looked up, and their eyes met.
After a few seconds, she seemed to recall the events from the night before. Her voice was calm as she spoke, "Mason, the truth doesn't matter that
much anymore. It's been so long, and I don't really care. Let's move forward."
The morning light softened her appearance, and her words sounded rational.
"Consider what I said last night."
Mason remained silent. He stepped toward the large bed, his voice slightly hoarse as he said, "Help me tie this, I can never get it right.”
The last few words had a hint of emotion, probably thinking of the few warm scenes in their three years of marriage.
Unexpectedly, Zoe didn't refuse. Like in the past, she knelt on the bed to help him with his tie, and he leaned slightly to make it easier for her.
They were very close, their breaths almost brushing against each other's faces, a short but intense warmth. Zoe was skillful, knotting the tie neatly.
Her gaze was fixed on the tie as she said, "Mason, we..."
Mason grabbed her waist, easily holding onto her. He lowered his head to kiss her.
This time, it was not a forceful kiss but a subtle and deep intertwining.
Even if she didn't want him, he patiently stroked her lips with his. His masculine breath was in her face. His hand gently pressed her back, bringing
her body closer to his.
The moon-white silk nightgown against dark trousers was a mix of disorder and decadence.
Mason wag still in his twenties. His
desires were easily provoked, even if
it was one-sided. He slowed dawn
the kiss, leaning against her QL

"Zoe, do you want to do it? I'm getting worked up."
Zoe's tone was indifferent. "Aren't you supposed to go to the office?"
Mason's gaze was deep. He didn't particularly want to do anything. He just wanted to see if Zoe still had any feelings for him. He checked, but when
they touched, he was disappointed.
Zoe didn't feel much emotion.
Very calmly, Zoe straightened her silk nightgown and repeated, "Don't you have to go to the office?"
Mason checked the time and left.

There was no way she could be okay.
Just because of a scheme, she lost the passionate feelings of her youth. She lost three years of her youth, tied up in a cold and thin marriage.
All of that couldn't be compensated by Mason wanting to start over.
She didn't want his compensation, and she didn't want him.
Her crying was low and suppressed. She needed this release.
After all, she endured for three years, and no one knew how she had lived during these three years. No one knew how miserable she used to be.
In the afternoon, at three o'clock, Zoe went out alone.
