Aiden couldn't help but shed tears when he spoke passionately.

Lilith empathized with her. "What a pity."

Aiden composed himself and clinked glasses with Mason, adopting alighter tone. "But I will replace her. It's never too late to pursue a career inmusic."

Mason smiled reservedly. “Your dedication to classical music is trulymoving."

Then, he glanced at Ava.

Ava immediately presented a check for three million dollars, skillfullysaying, "This is a small symbol of support from Mr. Mason for classicalmusic. Please accept it, Mr. Aiden. In the future, if you needs anything,Mr. Mason will not hesitate to offer assistance.”

Aiden, being polite and reserved, responded, "That's very kind of you,Mr. Mason."

Mason excused himself. “I hope I'm not intruding.”

Finally, David accepted the check and saw Mason and his group off. When David returned, Aiden was still sipping his drink.

David chuckled. "Where did Mr. Mason replace such a treasure? She'snowhere near as good as Zoe, both in skills and emotions, not tomention her looks."

Aiden leisurely remarked, "Taste is subjective.”

David hesitated and asked, "So, are we not accepting Lilith?"

Aiden put down his cup and sighed softly. "David, our profession maysound elegant, but it's tough to make a living. Even with my principles,it's hard to uphold without money in hand. Now, someone is willing tosupport classical music generously. How can I refuse?

"Besides, the orchestra has quite a few miscellaneous staff; we'll replace asuitable position for Lilith. The key is that I managed to push Zoeforward, preserving our reputation.”

David chuckled upon hearing this.

He picked up the check and flicked it gently. “Then, shall I arrange foryou to have a meet-up with Zoe? How about the Cortes Cafe inSouthport Fishing Village? I remember Zoe loves the desserts there."Aiden gave him a sidelong glance and laughed. "You seem toremember quite well."

On the other side, Mason and his entourage departed.

Lilith couldn't understand. "Why did Mr. Mason give Mr. Aiden so muchmoney when she rejected me? That's too much!"

Ava thought, "You don't understand a thing!

A master like Aiden doesn't casually accept students at first sight. Thatwould lower her status. The three million was a stepping stone, agesture of sincerity from Mason.

However, Ava was patient with Lilith in front of Mason, speaking gently,"Aiden is very cautious. Be patient, Ms. Lilith. There's nothing Mr.Mason can't handle.”

After a moment's hesitation, Lilith asked softly, "Did I perform badly?"Ava remained silent and adjusted her skirt.

Mason never paid much attention to her.

At this point, the driver brought the car over. Mason got into the car,and Lilith tried to follow suit, but the driver gently blocked the door.

"I apologize, Ms. Lilith. Mr. Mason has a private engagement. Pleasetake the company car with Ava.”

The driver closed the door and drove away.

Lilith was desperate, close to tears.

She came here with a purpose today, even dressed in a beautifuldress. She not only wanted to meet Aiden but also hoped to have ameal with Mason, perhaps even replace an opportunity to be moreintimate.

Yet, Mason left her behind.

Ava, standing aside, enjoyed the situation. "Ms. Lilith, I told you earliernot to expect too much. It's better not to think about it."

At this moment, a black RV pulled up.

Thinking Mason had returned, Lilith was overjoyed and was about togreet him.

The next moment, she froze.

The window of the luxurious car slowly rolled down, revealing notMason but his mother, Lisa.

Lisa sternly looked at Lilith.

She didn't speak, but her disdainful gaze made Lilith shiver with fear.Ava also shrank slightly, bowing her head. "Mrs. Lisa."

Lisa ignored her, focusing only on Lilith. Her gaze, like that of avenomous snake, made Lilith tremble in fear.
