I Refuse to Divorce! -
Chapter 90
It seemed that Mason had come directly from the office.
Dressed in a sharp three-piece suit, he looked incredibly handsome. Hewas youthful and charming yet exuding the typical allure of a successfulman. Many young girls could not help stealing glances at him. It wassomething he was accustomed to.
Mason walked directly to Zoe and looked at the gigantic movie poster."Do you want to watch this?" he asked.
Zoe discreetly clenched the movie ticket, smiling lightly as she denied,“I just thought of grabbing a soda.”
Mason's deep eyes focused on her for a moment. He then personallybought her a drink, saying casually when paying, "You used to dislikethis, didn't you?"
Zoe smiled faintly. "People change.”
Mason handed her the soda, smiling. "How about watching a movietogether?"
It was the first time Mason had invited her on a date.
In the past, Zoe would probably have been overwhelmed with gratitudeand felt so thrilled that she would not be able to sleep for three nights. Now, she was too indifferent to bother.
Still, she knew that she had to handle her husband tactfully. A directrefusal was not a wise choice.
Zoe made a sound of acknowledgment. She handed him the bag in herhand, saying she would go buy tickets.
However, Mason failed to secure the bag properly, and the shoppingbag containing lace lingerie fell to the ground. Several pieces of blacklace scattered on the floor.
Before the onlookers could react, Mason swiftly collected the items. Hishandsome features were filled with depth when he looked at her again."Did you just buy these?"
Zoe, holding the soda, linked her arm with his.
She softly murmured, "I just bought them with Ella. Do you like them,Mason?"
Mason's gaze grew even deeper.
After marriage, Zoe rarely flaunted her charm in front of him. On onehand, it was due to his indifference. On the other hand, he had alwaysbeen dominant in private matters. There was no need for her to flaunt.Although he knew she was deliberately doing so, he could not help butbe slightly aroused by her actions.
Mason patted her buttocks, his voice lazy. "How naughty of you, Mrs.Lockwood."
The movie plan fell through, and Mason took Zoe home. The chauffeurwas driving the car.
Once inside, Mason could not wait to kiss Zoe, pressing the red buttonin the front. The partition slowly rose, blocking the driver's view.
The temperature in the car rose.
Mason's voice was heated. "Let's go home and try on the lingerie... *Softly caressing his handsome face, Zoe asked, "Mason, did you leavework early just for this?"
He paused for a moment. Holding her delicate neck, he gazed at herwith deep black eyes.
In fact, both of them knew each other's intentions. He came to checkwhether his "Mrs. Lockwood" had any extramarital affairs, while she,the "Mrs. Lockwood" in question, was not mentally present in thismarriage.
However, they never confronted each other about it. It was a tacitagreement.
Zoe picked up a strand of long, dyed chestnut hair from the seat besideher.
Her voice was light. "This doesn't seem like Ava's hair. Moreover, Avawouldn't sit in the back seat, and the driver cleans the interior everyday. So, I guess Lilith sat in your car this morning... Mason, I won't pryinto your private affairs, but I expect some basic respect betweenhusband and wife. Can you give me that?"
She almost said that he was having an affair with Lilith.
Mason glanced at her, coldly snorting, "Is this all you want to say?"Zoe remained gentle. "Mason, if my interference were of any use, wewouldn't be in the situation we're in today. If you really want me to feeljealous, I'll ask you to cut off contact with her. Can you do that?"
