Chapter 189 The Thoughts of Chasel

"Let's go to the Fast Food Restaurant nearby."

"Sure, I'm Okay with whatever."

As they chatted, they walked toward Fast Food Restaurant.

At that time, Alva and Colbert got into their car, with Corey driving them to a nearby western restaurant.

Driving on the congested road, their car moved in fits and starts. Then, Alva spotted two figures by the side of the road and told Colbert, "Colbert, isn't that Eudora over there?"

A spark flashed in her eyes as she feigned astonishment. "They seem to get along really well, laughing and chatting. Eudora must really like Chasel."

Following the direction Alva pointed out, Colbert saw Eudora and Chasel laughing joyfully. They were looking at each other, bending over with laughter. Chasel had just lifted his hand, draping his arm over Eudora's shoulder, affectionately hugging her. Eudora didn't resist at all.

Colbert's face visibly darkened at a rapid pace. His eyes narrowed, filled with chilling intent.

Alva stopped at that, noticing Colbert's silence, and she shifted the topic. "Colbert, can you accompany me to the hospital this afternoon?"

"What's up?"

Colbert leaned against the car seat, his eyes closed as if taking a nap, he asked nonchalantly.

Alva pressed her lips together, nervously pinching her dress hem. "I haven't had my period for half a month. I think I need to get checked."

"I have work this afternoon. Corey can take you."

Alva's clear eyes sparkled, her red lips lightly pursed. "Oh, alright."

The traffic light at the crossroads turned green. Their car followed the traffic flow across the crossroads, with Eudora unaware of everything that had transpired there. She continued chatting with Chasel, seeming quite happy.

After lunch, Eudora returned to the office with Chasel.

That afternoon, Chasel was in his office daydreaming when Eudora walked in. Seeing him lost in thought, she asked, "What's wrong?"

"Ah, Kenison City is organizing a charity event. My father wants someone from our company to go to Ford County for the event. I'm wondering who to send."

He looked at Eudora, lost in thought.

"Go to Ford County? That's quite far."

Eudora thought for a moment and then said, "If there really isn't anyone else, I can go."

"Really?"

Chasel's eyes brightened, his face full of anticipation.

"I'm the newcomer in our company. I don't know much and can't be of much help. Going to Ford County for the charity event, I can make myself useful. That's pretty good." Eudora was always kind-hearted. In her free time, she would help out at orphanages or nursing homes.

"But you need to know, Ford County is far and I can't go with you."

"What's the big deal? Don't you know what I'm capable of? Don't worry."

Eudora patted her chest, giving off a 'leave it to me' vibe.
