Chapter 239 Eudora Disappeared

Eudora hadn't shown up, so Colbert and Rosetta went down the mountain.

Colbert, who had been toyed with, looked angry. After going down the mountain, he returned home and didn't look for Eudora.

But when he finished dinner, Rosetta appeared and said, "Colbert, Eudora is nowhere to be seen."

When Colbert, standing at the door in the evening breeze, heard Rosetta's words, his heart tightened. He asked, "When did it happen?"

"I... I don't know."

Rosetta dared not to tell Colbert the truth, so she could only say, "Eudora went up the mountain before we did, but she hasn't come back. What if something bad happened to her?"

Rosetta was a little panicked at this moment.

If something bad happened to Eudora, she might feel guilty for the rest of her life.

Colbert thought Eudora was teasing him, and he was even a little annoyed. But now he realized that something was wrong. He immediately took a few people and went up the mountain with flashlights to replace Eudora.

The mountain opposite the village was not very big. They searched for two hours but didn't replace her.

They alarmed the villagers, and 20 or 30 villagers came to help. Finally, they found Eudora in the grass.

When they saw Eudora, she was lying unconscious on the ground. The blood from the wound on her wrist had stopped, but beside her was a broken hairband and bloodstain.

Seeing her pale face and black lips, Colbert immediately checked her wound. "Damn it. She got poisoned."

"Ken, hurry down and replace Mr. Davis and ask him to replace the doctor."

Ken came to Ford County together with Eudora. Seeing Eudora's pale face, he was quite frightened. He nodded immediately and said, "Okay. I'll go right away."

He went down the mountain first. Carrying Eudora on his back, Colbert went steadily and quickly down.

After getting back home, Colbert sent Eudora to her bedroom. When Rosetta saw that she was unconscious and her pale face, so frightened was she that her face turned pale. "What... What... What happened to her?"

Rosetta covered her mouth in shock.

A villager murmured, "She must have been bitten by a snake. It's creepy."

"Bitten by a snake?"

Guilt crept into Rosetta's heart, and she felt sorry for Eudora.

Eudora wouldn't have ended up like this if it wasn't for her clamoring to date Colbert.
