Chapter 254 Spared Her

It started to rain again. Eudora felt limp all over her body and felt weak even when walking.

She looked down at her right hand. There was a big gash on her arm, which was white and swollen as she stayed in the water for too long, which was terrifying.

Besides, after saving the masked man last time and being bitten by a snake, she drew a cross on the wrist and let out blood. Although it had gradually healed, the scabs formed had fallen off after being soaked in water.

Eudora's arm was in pain, but there was nothing to reduce the inflammation right now. What she feared most was that the wounds would fester.

She tied her wrist with her clothes, but as it was raining all the time, it was not good to cover the wounds.

Therefore, she ignored the wounds and didn't do anything to them.

The masked man glanced at her wounds and walked down the mountain without saying a word.

Eudora followed him down the mountain. After they walked for a while, her speed became slower and slower.

"You're walking too fast. Can you slow down a little?"

Eudora couldn't keep pace with the man, so she asked the man to slow down.

The masked man had already slowed down a lot invisibly, but she didn't notice it.

"If we can't go out, we may starve to death here."

If it was still uninhabited within a radius of hundreds of miles, it would be a great challenge for them.

After the heavy rain, there was turbid and muddy water everywhere, which was not drinkable, and walking for a long time would consume energy. It was impossible for them to walk very far if there was nothing to eat.

With her strong willpower, Eudora followed the masked man all the way forward. When night fell, she was finally exhausted and slumped on the ground, having no strength to walk anymore.

Hearing the voice behind him, the masked man looked back and saw her sitting on the ground with a pale face. He leaned against a tree and looked at her with complicated emotions in his eyes.

He walked up to her, took out the dagger, and pointed the sharp blade at Eudora as if he was saying that he would kill her to finish his mission since she was going to die.

Eudora slowly closed her eyes without struggling or speaking.

She knew the masked man wouldn't kill her. If he wanted to kill her, he would have done it long ago.

With an abrupt sound, the masked man stabbed the dagger into the tree behind her. "I'll spare you today. If I see you again, it only means you're unlucky."

After saying that, he turned around and left.

He left that dagger to her as payback when she saved him on the mountain that day.
