Chapter 283 A Useful Pawn

It would have been better without her saying.

It was especially harsh to Colbert's ears.

But he didn't want to argue with Eudora. "What do you want to eat?"

"I've been lying all night. I want to go downstairs for a walk with you."

"No. The doctor said you should take a good rest."

"Okay. Buy me a bowl of soup, the same as yesterday."

"Do you like soup very much?"

"Yes. I like soup and bread very much, but I don't like pasta." Eudora wore a smile, but with a pale face, she looked extremely weak, which made people feel distressed. "When we get home, I'll make soup for you."

"Ha, ha, okay. You can only make soup, and I love soup very much. How nice it is."

Eudora muttered. While she was talking, she suddenly shook her head. "Forget it; your soup is too expensive. Three hundred dollars for a serving! I'd better not eat it."

Damn it! She only earned three hundred dollars even if she was exhausted from delivering takeout for a day.

Colbert cooked a serving of soup for breakfast and charged three hundred dollars. She couldn't afford it!

"If you perform well, I will consider making it for free."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Then you cook me breakfast, and I clean up for you. How about it?"

"Sure."

"That's great. It saves a lot on rent, utilities, and breakfast."

Eudora was calculating. In a month, she would have saved at least two thousand dollars, which would make twenty-four thousand a year. Wow, twenty-four thousand dollars.

She could receive hundreds of dollars of interest if depositing it in the bank. That was great!

Colbert left the ward to buy breakfast for Eudora.

A few days later, Eudora was finally discharged from the hospital and flew back to Kenison City with Colbert.

Coming out of Kenison Airport, she stood still, slowly closed her eyes, breathed in the fresh air, and sighed, "I am finally back. The air in Kenison City is so fresh." "Get into the car."

Colbert walked past her, put his big palm on the back of her head, and took her into the car.

With a bang, the car door was closed. Corey started the car and drove away.

Eudora leaned on the car seat, tilted her head to glance at Colbert, and asked, "Where are we going?"

"Steele Mansion."

"Okay."

Eudora responded, not showing much joy on her face.

Undoubtedly, Colbert was kind to her in every possible way because he was just cultivating a useful pawn and wanted her to have a good relationship with Belinda.
