I'm Your Sister, Brother Chow -
Chapter 21: Look at Her Seductive Face
The piercing sound of the bell snapped Vivian back to reality. She blinked away the tears in her eyes and lowered her head silently. Chow hated seeing her contentious and submissive look the most. He grunted in annoyance and continued dragging her down the stairs. Since the bell had rung, the school grounds were bustling with teachers and students alike.
These noises reminded Vivian that they were still at school.
If they were to continue clinging to each other in a place like this, they would undoubtedly become the main focus of everyone in school.
"Brother Chow, let go of me," Vivian reminded him in a trembling voice.
The truth was that Vivian knew she would only make Chow angrier if she tried opposing him while he was still mad.
Hearing her words, Chow suddenly turned and glared at her. "Let me tell you, Vivian, that even if you get accepted to the farthest college you applied for, I will never let you go," he said, voice dripping with venom. "You'll never get rid of me!"
The terrifying look in his eyes stunned Vivian so much that it made her forget to respond.
She just stared at him with a blank expression, seemingly hypnotised by the fire in his eyes.
She even forgot to shed tears.
"You owe me that much," Chow said in a chillingly low voice. Then, he continued pulling her outside.
Vivian was so overwhelmed by his intimidating aura that she'd forgotten about his hold around her. She stayed hunched up in his arms as they stepped out of the building. However, just as they left the building, she was met with more trouble.
Since she was in her final year of high school, everyone usually spent all their time in the classrooms and hardly ever wandered out unless necessary.
But Vivian had forgotten about the class rep whom she'd bumped into before.
There was no doubt that the class rep had spilt her juicy gossip to the rest of the class. More than half of her classmates had already gathered outside the office building. Seeing Chow pulling her out in his arms, the sneers on their faces grew even more evident. They were all looking at her with disdain written plain across their foreheads. Vivian's face turned pale. Her shoulders slumped immediately.
It was one thing to just have her rumours spread around the school when everything was still speculation and no one had ever witnessed anything, but it was another thing to actually be seen like this, tightly held in Chow's embrace, under the scrutiny of so many pairs of eyes.
Perhaps it was because she had heard similar insults and mockery from others since being around her mother at a young age, Vivian had always been self-abased and cautious.
Those who had never experienced such a feeling before would not understand at all.
She had dreamed of making friends with other girls in class like a normal, regular student, doing mundane things like discussing the latest fashion trends, obsessing over boys, studying in each other's rooms, or even hanging out at the mall together.
However, since young, nobody had been willing to be friends with her.
"My parents said that your mother is a mistress. That means she's very bad. I don't want to play with you!"
"You're going to be like your mother when you grow up. You're going to be bad!"
"Look at her seductive face. She's starting to look more and more like her mother."
"I heard that she went out with someone in a luxury car. That must be her sugar daddy!"
"Like mother, like daughter!"
Vivian remained silent. She had heard too many of such insults.
They were enough to tear down her dignity little by little, crushing her into the deepest depths of the earth.
She'd long forgotten how it felt like to walk around with her head held high in front of other people.
With what Chow was doing to her now, she was never going to be able to clear her name, especially with so many piercingly sharp gazes on them both.
She didn't know how much longer she could continue living like this.
Vivian's face turned white as a sheet. Even her footsteps began to falter.
Of course, Chow was not aware of her changes.
He turned around to look at the students surrounding them. Quickly, he understood why Vivian was trembling in his arms.
It seemed like she was having a hard time at school.
Chow initially thought that it would make him feel better, but he couldn't help getting mad at the people who dared to bully Vivian. He had a sudden urge to dig out the eyeballs of these people. Under everyone's scrutinising gaze, he held on even more tightly to her instead of letting her go.
Vivian weakly struggled against his hold again, but this time, Chow didn't get mad because of that.000000
