It's Love That Blinds Him
It’s Love That Blinds Him – Chapter 1

In rainy City X, people dreamed of a time a thousand years ago. There were beautiful glazed tiles and exquisite wooden corridors. The view was picturesque, and life was so simple.

In a bar, in the middle of the stage, a woman was singing beautiful melodies. As soon as she started singing a love song, everyone in the bar was enchanted by the music, while looking at their loved ones.

Lucia Garcia was sitting at one of the tables when a waiter brought her the wine menu. After glancing at the menu, she ordered a Long Island iced tea, the drink she always had.

She was sitting alone at the table, so many of the men at the bar were watching her, but they didn’t want to just drink with her. However, she smiled at them before taking a sip of her drink and turning away from them.

“Mademoiselle, this is a gift from the gentleman at the next table,” the waiter said with a smile. He then placed another glass of red wine in front of Lucia before walking away.

Looking at the table the waiter had just indicated, Lucia saw a man sitting by the window, next to the river, as if by himself.

The man was dressed in simple black pants and an ordinary blue shirt. The top two buttons of his shirt were undone, revealing his sculpted chest. His hair was tousled, but it looked very sexy on him. Seeing his long legs, she figured he had to be at least six feet tall.

His facial features were visible under the colorful but subtle neon lights. He was handsome. He had a pointed nose, thin, slightly parted lips and a small dimple on one cheek that appeared when he smiled. His eyebrows were hidden under his messy bangs, but his eyes were very sharp and looked like a hawk’s.

When the light illuminated his face, Lucia saw his eyelashes. He had thick, long lashes that could have made a woman jealous.

Noticing Lucia’s gaze, the man watched her as he raised his wine glass to her.

Lucia responded with an enchanting smile. She then took the glass of wine the waiter had left on his table, raising it to him before taking a sip.

A slightly inebriated middle-aged man approached Lucia, placing his fat hand on her lap to caress her. “How would you like to join us for a drink, miss?”

“Take your hand off there,” Lucia said in a cold voice.

The man wore a heavy gold chain and his belly jiggled in front of her. The smell of alcohol on his breath was so strong it could make anyone want to vomit.

The bartenders stood back, a clear sign that they didn’t want to interfere in this affair.

“Ray, it looks like this woman doesn’t want you!”

Ray was surrounded by several libidinous men, belching and giggling as they leered intently at Lucia.

“This is bullshit! You see, women like her may look tough on the outside, but they’re actually quite submissive at heart. As long as I give them a little money, they’ll allow me to play with them in bed, even begging me to f**k them.” Ray’s tone was disgustingly smug as he looked at Lucia with burning desire in his eyes, preparing to place his hand on her breast.

Lucia couldn’t bear to stand there a moment longer, so she quickly stood up and was about to leave.

“Are you planning to leave? Not a chance! I’m very competent. I can make love seven times in one night. You’ll feel very happy and satisfied. Tell me, how much do you charge for a night?” asked Ray vulgarly.

The men with her also started stroking her thighs and groping her. Some of them even tried to k**s her. Lucia felt like a lamb about to be slaughtered, and the more she resisted their advances, the rougher they got with her.

The other bar patrons also moved away from her table, and the bartender didn’t seem at all surprised. None of them came to help her or stop the men.

Lucia put up a good fight, but she was much weaker than these men, and she couldn’t get rid of them. Even if she could fend them off, it would be difficult for her to escape the bar.

She became very nervous, sighing deeply and trying to calm herself down to replace a safe way to escape them.

“How dare you put your dirty hands on my wife?” A seductive, mysterious voice of a man was heard behind her. There was in his tone, a strong impression of indifference and disdain.

The man watched the farce before his eyes as he leaned nonchalantly on the edge of the table, sipping wine from his glass.

After that, he put down his glass to head toward the gang.

“Go to hell! It’s none of your business, so piss off! How dare you try to claim the woman I’ve been waiting for in my bed!” staggered Ray, but his men became alert, as if ready to fight.

The man in front of Ray smiled casually, completely ignoring the gang. He tapped the table with his long fingers.

“Aren’t you a gigolo? Well, I like men as well as women, so how about we all have some fun together?” Ray’s smile became even more vulgar.

“Ah! Who the hell are you?” Ray’s smile suddenly disappeared, and his voice suddenly shook with fear. His whole body was shaking. The next moment, a drop of sweat dripped from his forehead and fell onto the table. He looked like a clown.

Lucia finally freed herself from his grip. However, the man who had come to her rescue was still standing a little apart from the gang.

With a curious look, Lucia made her way towards him.

At the same time, a man dressed in black stood behind Ray and pressed a rigid object against his waist, terrifying him.

“What is it?” wondered Lucia. She glanced at the handsome man beside her, searching for an answer.

“Haven’t you learned? Curiosity killed the cat.” The man seemed to have understood what Lucia was about to ask. He looked at her while smiling, revealing his charming dimples.

Lucia remained silent, shrugging her shoulders.

“You like men as well as women, eh? So how about we have some fun together?” the handsome man asked Ray in a soft voice, with a bright smile.

He didn’t say much after that, but still wore the devilish grin. However, there was a coldness in his eyes that frightened Ray’s men.

The man in black, standing behind Ray, maintained his posture and didn’t move an inch.

Even Ray’s bodyguards were frightened. All the while, the man in black remained inexpressive and calm.

“I… I…”, Shivering with fear, Ray couldn’t even replace the words to speak. He’d been so arrogant moments ago, but now he was pissing himself with fear.

His heart pounded as he fell weakly to the floor, kneeling before the handsome man.

“Sorry… I’m sorry. I’m going to get out of here right now!” Before the man could say anything, Ray fled the bar, leaving Lucia stunned.
